cm515 does not beat a G&G cm18 or 30th GC16 or Raider £70 - yeah its pretty good for money from TaiwanGun (I mean yeah it is half the price of a G&G Raider with shipping plus TWG do free ship on 100 Euro atm - but UKARA required coz TWG don't 2-tone ) £120 ??? - ffs no way - that is G&G or ICS starter money http://www.onlybbguns.co.uk/210733-cyma-cm515-m4-long-ris-aeg-sports-line.html#.Vhz9dm7p8i4 £110 - use RC10 to get 10% off = £99 delivered but "might" be a tad hot or over 350fps - often up to 400 tbh - £85-£90 absolute tops for a cm515 - you get over £100 and G&G are a safer bet for a bit more money Don't get me wrong it ain't a bad gun - but plastic is brittle type as opposed to G&G polymer receiver it usually runs a bit hot for most sites so needs a tweak/downgrade gearbox isn't bad - a few things like slight mod to a replacement tappet plate, removal of safety arm to open box etc... (soz getting carried away - did review one and yeah pretty decent starter box with 8mm bushings etc...) Looks nice but it needs a bit of work - fine if you like tinkering with stuff on the cheap like me but for most peeps who want a decent ready to use out of box gun - G&G is perhaps a safer/wiser choice my cm515 started to play up Saturday misfeeding - but have put some rounds through it I just dropped another barrel/hop in there for moment and is fine - well other barrel/hop curves a bit it was quite good on old barrel for such a cheap gun lifting .25's but think bucking or lip got a bit squiffy (this sort of stuff can happen on any gun btw) Still think G&G might be better option though their keymod range is a lot more than cm515 Other reason for maybe G&G is maybe easier to sell on if you decide than a cheapy 515 Still if you can get a 2-tone cm515 for £99 - that would come with a crappy battery n charger to get started Hmmmmm - tough call but think save a bit more n go for a G&G short Raider, CM18 or GC16 30th etc.... (but gotta factor in battery/charger on top of G&G) if £100 is your absolute budget max hmmm maybe but spring might be too hot (reason I say this is that cm515 certainly pi$$es over JBBG bulldog or cheapy crappy SRC M4's) So yes if I'm really honest it might be one of the few sub £100 guns perhaps that is worth a shot (what cyma should of done is drop in a 275-300mm barrel instead of 380mm and it would looked better plus fps should of dropped a smidge too barrel ending at end of keymod, add a cheapy suppresor perhaps - its a bit longer than the 363mm M4's but light as f*ck) anybody else with a bit more cash then perhaps get a G&G

    ASPUK - Delivery time?

Got a response, said they'll have a look into it tomorrow.

  3. Yes. But I don't know of any adaptor, so you'd need to make your own. You can remove the rear sight by loosening two screws in the slide and replace it with an adaptor with a little 20mm rail on top, but you'd probably have to design the adaptor and get it made on shapeways or something

  4. I think the only way forward is to change either the catch or the bit of the stock it locks past. It depends on which make you have though whether you could do that by bending part of the stock, or whether you'd need to actually replace something.

  5. PT is right if the inner barrel reaches to the end of the suppressor. However if there is even a centimetre of gap between the end of the inner barrel and the muzzle, then the size of the suppressor and how much of it is open to air movement (ie not full of foam or completely blocked by something which stabilises the inner barrel) will affect the sound of the shot. In theory at least a wider suppressor will give you more potential for noise cancellation due to out of phase reverberation. That said, the effect is not at all pronounced...

  6. Up to you... I'll take them if you don't want them, but if you'd rather not lose out on the postage and keep 'em yourself to spray, that's cool too.

The fps seems quite inconsistent, not heard much about the cyma m4's their ak's are good though. For a starter m4 I'd recommend a g&g combat machine they go from about £80 (second hand) but are only £130 new. Welcome! Your pay check won't seem big enough after a while playing

  8. Stick to their AKs Others do MP5s better in the pricerange - G&G do some cheap ones

  9. If you're dead set on a g36 this one will be alot better than the one you linked: http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-g36-variants/jg-g608-g36c.htm#.VhwdZ1V4XCQ (and from a reputable seller) Probably the most reliable g36 you can buy. They offer two tone for £15 aswell

  10. I was at the milsim lite game at Gunman in Tuddenham yesterday and wrote a review with a few photos.

  11. The G36 youre looking at will be no use in airsoft, its underpowered at 225fps, and is likely to be inconsistent with accuracy and unreliable. As stated in its description its ideal for backyard shooting to get a feel for the game. Perhaps you might want to hire a gun for your first few games and decide whether you want to incest in this hobby. And as for a first gun, id recommend a G&G cm16 Raider which is a very good rifle for its price at around £130. Solid polymer construction with no wobble or creaking unlike other options within the same price range, ~350fps which is perfect for most airsoft sites in the UK and you wont be out matched, comes with a rail system which means you can add any attachments to your weapon in future. There is a starter deal on airsoftzone which comes with the rifle, 450 round high capacity magazine, 1000 bb's, a 9.4V lipo battery and charger and a mask for only £159.99 which is a fantastic deal for beginners. Hope this helps

  13. Gunman are also a fantastic bunch as well, their milsim lite are a good mix of milsim rules and skirmish play. The sandpit also have their battlesim, which is slightly closer to milsim than Gunman's milsim lite. There are so many different styles of play you will find plenty on the spectrum that falls between the 4 day epic that is/was available in wintery Norway and the 10 day coldwar milim run in the states, down to the Teir1 and Stirling (that from what I have heard seem to focus on physical endurance) to the gunman/sandpit milsims, down to the gunman milsim lite and ucap battlesim with skirmishing languishing way down on the scale.

  14. Try EAG, elite action games, the guys down at Worthing are a really good bunch, keep an eye out for Jimbo (head marshal), Wolfie and Pants. The three run a very tight site with lots of very friendly regulars. My first steps into milsim were via them. The games were good but didn't require epic fitness which for me was important. Plus they work on the principle that most players aren't capable of or want to really play long games with no breaks, ie sleeping in game, 18-24 hour straight types. They often work on either night games or day games. Night games start early evening and play through til 10 or 11am. Day games timings wise were more like skirmishes but game play all day no lunch sometimes to midnight ish. They are also pretty good at getting interesting story lines going and a good level of realism. Plus there weren't lots of ordering about etc although there was an IC and 2IC who were mostly figureheads, trusted regulars who would guide teams in choosing and planning objectives.

  15. It is doable! I know of a few people that have, it does mean no MED at most sites although I have heard of a few that will enforce the MED on Sub 350fps guns, citing " the rest of the players don't know you are sub 350 so will kick off if you use it within the MED" although they are few and far between. If you think of upgrading a sniper and getting accuracy, range and consistency on a 500fps build as a dark art, getting the same with 350fps is a darker than dark art, plan on spending a lot of time tinkering and fettling your setup. The guys I know of said they spend 6 months perfecting the 500fps setup and more like a year til they were happy with the sub 350. As for barrel spacers, the easiest method with the least chance of vibration in my eyes is to wrap the barrel in paper. I used a significant quantity of A4 wrapped tightly around the barrel. In my JG Bar10 Gspec the paper is landscape as you look down the barrel. It makes the gun more barrel heavy, but I then added a couple of old break pads to the inside of the stock which was also very tightly packed with foam, the foam deadens the vibrations from the hollow stock. It increased the weight, but in my hands it feels a lot more realistic.

  16. My Google foo is weak today, had a quick look and no joy. Only item worth noting is this one, which you have no doubt already read. http://airsoftoperator.com/review-m-and-p-9-big-bird-toucan/ Maybe it is just a standard WE hop unit that you need.

  19. Tuddenham run milsim lite games which are effectively skirmish games with medic rules and more of a milsim ethos, but they allow two tone weapons and hi caps.
