So Im finally remaking my hybrid mk23 after mine was stolen last year. Building pretty much the same gun but doing some modernization to it. One of those things is the replacement of the Novritsch optics rail and replica Trijicon SRO with a custom mount and a replica Aimpoint ACRO P-2. Only took two versions to get the finished project. I printed it vertically so the layer lines wouldn't cause any sheering breaks due to pressure put on the optic. Pics are of v1, while the screenshot is v2 - its currently printing.

Spent a few days to find a solution and closest one was 200 pound wall unit which you can see it in shops so I said fuck it I will build my own. Ordered some pegboards from ikea and liberated some timber from my workplace.  I don't know how stable is I may die in my sleep when it falls apart. 🤣

Do you do 3D design for a living!?

Your distraction device reminds me of the tactical rubber chickens we used to use at a CQB site 😂

No mate I'm a Watchmaker, just dabble in making stuff that I need

Doing the lord work with that Rheinmetall vampir, wanted one since I saw that pic of craighead with one.

Still a long way to go, printed the first attempt in PLA to test sizes and had one made in resin to also test, still definitely in the beginning phases

No where near as fancy as some of the stuff on this thread, but I have started up cycling pallets and other wooden furniture found in the street. So here is my airsoft storage unit.

Yes I am aware my camera sucks but I want shiny stuff that shoots so that is a sacrifice I am (currently) willing to make....

Not made by me, made, once again, by @RidiculousReed.

It’s a CNC steel charging handle that’s fits vectors. KWA, Krytac and Real Steel.

Here it’s fitted to my .22lr, but it works equally as well on the KWA and Krytac (though a bit pointless on the Krytac).

It will be cerakoted next week

My current project bitsa AK boneyard 'build'

The Moscow Metro Sweeper.

Built from parts bought from the classifieds.

Cyma cm28 receiver and stock internals

TM AK105 front end and handguards

Thompson 1928 wooden fore grip

TM topcover.

JG pistol grip.

Missing a cocking lever/spring guide, the plate that sits on top of the gear box and a screw to hold the pistol grip in place.

Water bottle DAYZ style SuPpReSsoR to hide the extra barrel length that protrudes from the 105 front end. (To be duct taped)

Shoots well in the garden. Going to be a skirmish back up/loaner RIF or apocalypse LARP.  Just needs a drum mag.

I've never been a big fan of the rail on the TM HK416C so I decided to do something about it. This is the Mk1 version, just to get the sizing correct and the next improved version is in the printer now.

It’s not pretty .. but finally got round to ordering and cutting my Shadow Foam.

Much more reasonably priced than the Peli stuff, and it’ll do the job of stopping my rifle etc rolling about in the case.

Tweaked my two Baofeng UV5R* by removing the inner nubs from the torch/alarm and FM radio button as I am fed up of hitting them and not the PTT. I can still activate them with a pen or small screwdriver if I ever need to.

PTT also got some 120grit paper added to make it easy to locate even with gloves on.

Final tweak was a Larry Vickers double mag set up. Watch the Colt 723 video on Forgotten Weapons youtube channel.

This week I have mostly made a mess.😂

Finished off painting the honey badger and put it back together. Couple of little things left to do (mlok the rail, DIY stylee) and move onto the mk23/usp45 conversion. Cut it down but the boy nicked my silencer! Git.
