When you ask a question please do so using red writing that way, it's easy for people scrolling down to find a question.

When you answer a question, please quote (this will make sure the person gets a notification and they can click on it to open your answer straight away and it also lets people answer questions from a while ago if there have been new questions since then) the question and reply in blue writing so we know it's an answer.

If you feel a question simply cannot be answered in one brief post, or is open for a lot of debate, create a topic to discuss it, and link the topic in your answer so everyone can find it.

Hello all,

I have a Raven EU Series G18. I am forever trying to get hold of some more gas mags.

Patrol Base, Combat South, Ebay, Tango Down Airsoft, Most other  usual haunts, none of which currently stock it. Seems to be a shortage.

1. Why is there a shortage?

2. Where can I purchase a couple of mags. The average RRP is £25, but ideally looking between £20-£30.

P.s Apologies if this is the wrong place to pop a question but couldn't figure out where-else to ask, too many threads and chats...

Im pretty confident that anything TM clone will fit and work, so try TM or WE mags also buddy

What's the general consensus / go to for an Elcan Specter DR in locomotive Brown?

It's mainly for looks so I'm not bothered if it's just a 1x red dot.

I've seen the Holy warrior offering for £215 in the UK or some Aliexpress Jobs ranging from £100-150.

(I'll be honest I was never expecting them to be this expensive - but I've never been one for buying scopes!)

They are nice to look at

my HW weighed an absolute tonne, making my Scar just too heavy for me

You have to get your eye properly close to see the reticle and you are shooting with one eye shut , like using a scope.

I soon got rid of mine as I just couldn’t justify keeping it when I wasn’t enjoying it

but you might 🤷🏻‍♂️

They are expensive to find out the hard way though

What would be a decent price for selling boneyard guns? Half of the retail price? Cheers.

Depends on the sites rules and insurance

Never heard of a site allowing under 12s playing, but you would need to check with   individual sites.

It depends on the site so you're best to ask them.

Also looks can be deceiving, just because the kid is short doesn't mean he's under 12

Seeing my boys playing football, the height variations in the 10-14 age range is huge! I even thought an U13 player was the coach - reckon he'd have got served in a pub 😂

Normally 12 is the lowest age for insurance, might have seen one at 11 but couldn't tell you which site that was. Personally I'm waiting for mine to be sensible enough to be let loose with a pew.

TM mk23 nbb with suppressor 👍

As above, even without the suppressor they're pretty quiet. The ASG Mk23 is a cheaper alternative but as the suppressor is a barrel extension you'll need to run without it, fit an aftermarket one (which will need an adapter) or mod it by removing the inner barrel.

Should I take my spring out my specna m4 if only playing once a month currently? To avoid it sitting for a period of time at tension.

The same gun sat for years and when taking apart the cylinder head, it had an imprint on it from sitting at tension for ages.

It's quick change system so no fuss.

Nah, as long as you don't leave it "cocked"..

Remove the grip, manually pull the anti reversal latch and reinstall. That will also release any tension on the tappet plate spring.

Thanks very much, I'll have a look at this.

On an M4 you can just split the receiver and (assuming a ported cylinder) give it a cycle and observe that the piston and nozzle are both forwards, with some play in the nozzle.

I was always told to fire off a few shots on semi auto to ensure the piston is forward. Any truth to this or is it another airsoft myth?

Yep, 100% truth.

Though it depends on how the gun is set up, in some cases (no electronics, giga fast motor, beefy battery) the gun may overspin and leave the piston somewhere in the middle of its travel. Usually switching to a weaker battery (say 7,4 from 11,1 or one with less mAh/c rating) does the trick.

The procedure I mentioned is only "necessary" (read it's really not necessary) when storing for a looooooong time, to minimize the chance of poor quality springs being stretched/compressed permanently.

Any idea where I can source a replacement or alternative cocking handle for a Tokyo Mauri MP5A5 NGRS? I slapped her a little too hard during a skirmish and the plastic piece has come off. 🥲

TIA.
