  1. @Asomodai only just seen your first post. Yeah so keep a few things in mind. The FB SRS group is predominantly EU guys who have higher FPS limits so they will always see us firing "a bit low". Air seal "should" always be great with a SBA rubber and FAST but a touch of PTFE doesnt hurt as you've found. Shoudl be able to cock it, put your thumb over the end, pull the trigger and the piston sit a good way out solidly with no leaking. Your figures now sound really good with what you have, with a fully tuned VMP, Rapax 2J and Mousefart I am about 319 on a 0.48 so you're not missing ut on anything. Only thing I would advise would be to grab yourself a Rapax 2J directly from his website. Easier bolt pull, consistent power and less twang. https://rapaxsprings.com/ Have a look at some dry lube on the outside of your cylinder, again eases the bolt pull even more. Other than that, if it is at the right power and it's working, have fun!
  2. Covert has bull barrel (solid with no spacers as not needed) and muzzle break where sport is hollow outer barrel into 24mm CW with end cap and uses barrel spacers. Covert has metal mag where sport has polymer. Think that's about it tbh, all internals are the same and performance is the same.
  3. It's not my address on the outside of the package lol
  4. I'm same. Not worth my time going to the post office for that much.
  5. Why buy new from HobbyKing for the same if not cheaper when you can have abused?
  6. Sell it for more than RRP, just make sure you use the term "fully upgraded" as that triples the price guaranteed. Then buy a VSR.

Have bought a 5.5" outer to stick onto my AM008 until I can decide ? (swapping 5" of outer for 5" of suppressor)

Did the same to my honey badger, went from a 9/10" front end to a 5" one.

Range and accuracy didn't change at all, and somehow it's quieter now ?

  8. I like that a lot. I'm in the market for a very slim plate carrier with room for 3 5.56 at the front and this may be it.
  9. Ordered some 0.28s and 0.32s. Lets see what they're like and if they'll dethrone my default option of Geoffs super precision.
  10. Have discovered the exciting world of hi capa modification. Oh boy this'll hurt the MasterCard.

Save both the frustration and disappointment, go straight to the Elite Shooting Centre, and tell Mr Mike Cripps what you want. Easy!

@trojan1106 where's the fun in building it up though then?

  11. Seeing some sites opening in June. Surely this can't be right?

Woodland sites in Scotland are just working out the finer details and then they are free to reopen.

I read through the requirements outlined on the BBC for competitive sports and it included a requirement for testing facilities at the point of entry along with a myriad of other things which to me would indicate it's a bit of premature move. I guess it's just a case of "wait and see" but to be honest I can't see myself returning until things have settled considerably.

As much as I want to play, I would be inclined to wait until it’s advised and likely to be back to normal. I get some places are able to host smaller groups etc but 3v3 or games with squads of 6 in a woodland setting do not appeal to me.
I think returning for the sale of returning early would cause more issues personally.

  12. This person was flagged up a few pages back. Either a site owner or event organiser as there was recently a thread about some ideas for games (it was a link by me but I've been to sleep since then).
  13. I'm in love with my new 4.3 Capa ?

  14. And now my G18C needs to fly the nest (link) ?

Trying to standardize my rigs, opted to go with the Hi-capa as I have a 5.1 and a 4.3 on the way. The G18 is great and it's nice it's lighter than the Capa's but I just prefer the capa.

And just like that, it has gone. I will feel bad for the rest of the day but then tomorrow excitement as the new toy is hopefully shipped.

got one off here a while back but whereabouts did you get that pouch sir?

Erm....I think it was an Amazon job. I forget the name of it and it's now boxed up and on it's way to the new owner. I know it was only marketed as a 40mm holder looked like it would do the job, woudl probably remember the name if I saw it.

  16. 16" sport outer barrel and suppressor stabiliser for my SRS. Will run my faceless 509mm barrel in it for a "winter" setup. Chuffed that the dtss is direct fit to it.
  17. Not too sure yet. Anything carbiney at the moment. I've seen this but it looks too cheap to be decent https://www.airsoftlockeruk.co.uk/product/mk23-carbine-kit I like the dark matter one http://darkmatterworks.com/product/mk23carbine/ But am most likely going to end up with an SRU. Open playing field really.
  18. Just placed an order for another Mk23. Boring I know but this one is going to be my ongoing "DMR Project". Have a VSR barrel leftover, pull the internals out of the suppressor, buy in some Hadron goodies and then agonise over whether to spend 3 times the value of the pistol on a bodykit for it.
  19. Looks to be either a site owner or organiser......
  20. Nice RIF but I agree, more off for second user is needed, may not have seen a game but it's been mucked about with. My experience of the Ares gearbox is they are fine to about 320-330 but after that they sound like they struggle. Shame as it looks awesome but defo more in the £200-£250 region.
  21. Thought I found a H8r in stock then. Nearly wee'd but no, not in stock.

I found one in Denmark? Old school Email style ordering.

But it's only 54ish quid. They are a legit business. You have to order first and then they will calculate shipping and invoice for payment.

@Asomodai what a gem you are! I've just dropped them an email and ordery thingy to see what they come back with. As long as they don't destroy me on shipping this could work out really well.

  22. Just spotted this. Not a wild dreamer but I would say a touch unrealistic. They're £5 more from Fire Support and you wouldn't have to foot paypal fees then.
  23. It's taken 8 weeks but the ghillie is done! Cannot wait to try it out.

Lucky, I'm still waiting for haloscreen to get back in stock somewhere.

    3. Steveocee

      Steveocee

      @Diemaco it's a ghillie so you wouldn't see it ?
@Skara halo stuff is super popular isn't it? Totally opposite end of the spectrum but mine was made fully with Helikon ghillie yarns (I've gone easy though so I don't look like an electrified wookie).

    4. Skara

      Skara

Nah it's not as popular as plastic leaves, mostly due to its cost and lack of availability (you can only get it from LCS or Theyma)

I reckon it's more versatile than leaves as it doesn't have that awful plasticky look (no matter how much you try to mod them, they'll still look out of place).

My ghillies are going to be mostly cotton, some HS whenever I get my hands on some and some hair bands for real vegetation (you can't beat nature, can you?).

Jute has its application for sure, but as you said most plebs just pile up strands upon strands and end up looking like a meth addicted wookie who's just gone through a car wash.

  24. Bought them last night but only just remembered lol. Treated myself to a set of @heroshark specs. Hopefully they will solve my fogging on my revision and nose bridge getting destroyed and brightness -50% caused by nuprol mesh problems.
  25. Just ordered a hi CAPA hop unit and wheel from Skirmshop. Managed to bend my hop arm so wanted to repair properly.
