  1. Went for a .338 initially as it was only one in stock. I've now bought another .338 for my gspec outer as the length is useful as the inner protrudes into it a bit. Build has changed a bit from the above also. Now running PDI 6.05/380mm with faceless Rhop, FOW and 100% seal and have a Rapax 3J on order to use with long airbrake.
  2. Ghillie update. Day 2. Nobody warned me how boring this would be. Genuinely want to stab myself in the eye with my craft needle.

This sounds about right... However, at the end remember that you'll have a pretty unique product that will properly stand out on the field... in the safe zone because no one will see you in the field ;) (because nobody makes their own ghillie these days because they can just buy a pre-made leaf suit and be done with it)

It's worth it in the end. I'm doing mine too and it's hell. We'll get there eventually! xD

  3. 3 Weeks odd to kill?? Just pulled the ghillie base and yarns out.

Haha, we're in the same boat. Got a leaf suit, but I want a proper ghillie suit and I've had all the stuff for around 10 years now!

What are you using for yours? I'm using hessian and a webtex concealment vest.

This boat is rather large then.

I have 2 systems to craft (leaf suit and viper hood)

      @Impulse very similar boat.

I'm using a modified webtex in that is been cut off at the back where the belt strap is and stitched so it doesn't fall apart then using Helikon ghillie fibres for the yarn, just like burlap only they won't go up in flames.

Using a self threading needle to get the yarns into the base cloth to leave elastic free for foliage.

  4. Anyone else bored yet?

      I can still work :(

which means being bored by default because I can only do a small portion of what I actually have to do.

When I'm home I can't do anything because living in a flat sucks... I can only plink at a chimney on a roof 40m from my window but that's about it :(

Not yet, servicing all the guns, garden plinking and giving the cars a serious clean inside and out should keep me busy for a good while. Then I'm sure The Boss will find me a few little jobs to do round the house ! Just hope I've got enough BBs to last

Oh and cruising the Gun porn on the interweb and compiling a huge wish list 🤣

  5. Just ordered a new radio. Baofeng BF8. Not really a change from the UV5 I have but itchy fingers and all that.
  6. It's a TM so it gets amazing range with the stock hopup and bucking because of the magical TM dust.
  7. I'm interested in the hi capa dude. Can you name a price please.
  8. Gift receipts are your friend. All the product, none of the pricing lol
  9. Echoing others, if you read through a few pages you'll get the general tone of this thread. It's nothing personal at all. I did check your profile and then chose not to point out the inconsistency in that you've been on the site just over 1 year not nearly 2 as that would have come across pedantic and a little abrasive. Also the date you join a site means nothing, just means you registered, could have been playing 20 years prior, don't hide behind an "I'm a noob" shield, victimising yourself from the nasty man on the internet who lol'd at your price won't magically change anything. You will also notice that my following responses were aimed at being helpful advising alternative prices so maybe concentrate on the fact I did give some usable input rather than crying that I laughed at the original price. Typical response from the over self entitled of the social media generation.
  10. That's fair enough but it is slightly unrealistic is to expect a second hand buyer to burden your initial "additional" outlay because it wasn't in stock so paid the rarity tax and you had to buy it in 2 tone when for barely anything more they can buy new in "real" colours now. As pointed out above, if you aim for around 60% of the CURRENT retail price you are probably in the right ball park. Congrats for not having a major diva strop though (many do) 😎
  11. Shorter carbine version is still £299 on fire support though, the RRP is how much the weapon is NOW not what the receipt says. Receipt going with the RIF to prove warranty? Mmmm dunno how that would work, if it does great good news for the potential buyer. The fact it's ready to paint just means someones purposely taken the finish off, so yeah I think a new and real RIF wins there. Cross advertising? No, this is where people look to see who's being a little too ambitious with their pricing. Throw whatever tongue in cheek positive spin on that you will but you'll find it's not beneficial to your sale in the long run. The people in this thread discussing this are your ideal candidates for constructive criticism, we're not biased in your favour and we sure as hell won't be buying your overpriced goods so will happily advise you to get to a sensible price point 🙂
  12. LMFAO they're £299 brand new with warranty. The balls some people have.
  13. Just placed an order with X-Fire for a new PDI barrel. Good times.
  14. Trolling me or have no grasp of sarcasm? This site is perfectly welcoming, join, converse, it's fine. Don't expect to join, list items for sale overpriced and everyone thank you for it. We look out for each other, people who get their threads mentioned either take the dose of reality and price realistically or have a fanny fit. Maybe if you'd gotten involved in a few conversations and got a feel for the community you'd have realised the worth of what you were selling and then not have tried to make yourself out the victim here.
  15. But he "claims" it is running 530fps, so that's enough to tick the box of "leave the f**k alone". To be honest I'm more inclined to take your word for the FPS it is producing compared to the rest of the dribble in the ad but meh, you were picking him up yourself on these falsities not 5 posts ago lol.
  16. You've upgraded a dozen to higher than what our limits state we can use? Responsible.
  17. Yes I am wrong on it not coming new. The rest of my statement is true, beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that 😂
  18. I doubt they ever came with a skin on like that. Most likely someones attempt to cover up a 2 tone in the first place. It's not something which adds value to be fair, it just reduces the amount of people who'd buy it as it's a bit garish to 50% of the population. Stuff like paint job etc really aren't anything that add value, just a bonus if the buyer can look at it without vomiting.
  19. Hello, I appreciate you may have some stock flow issues ATM but do you know when you'll be getting some more suppressors in? Really trying to get my hands on something 200mm long with a diameter 30-34mm?

Ordered a couple of bits from two different AliExpress sellers on the 28th of January, one dispatched pretty quickly and arrived on the 18th of February.  Notification that the other has been dispatched received two days ago.  Seems like some stuff is moving but it's very hit and miss.

Personally speaking, as long as it's not a return of bubonic plague (death toll 70-200 million) or Spanish flu (death toll 40-50 million) then I'm not too concerned.  The "regular" flu virus kills 300,000-500,000 people a year (source), current global death toll appears to be around 2,800 out of 82,000 reported cases (source), a mortality rate of 3.4%, this obviously does not take into account unreported cases of those people who felt a bit unwell for a couple of weeks, didn't bother seeing a doctor and recovered without an issue, resulting in figures giving more weight to the death toll.

Context is a wonderful thing but doesn't sell newspapers.  Either that or I've just become overly cynical following year after year after year of the latest "panic".

      Sitting Duck

yeah I saw that with connector set & vice etc...

saw that this morning - nice dsg vid too

I was thinking of buying a Titan on my wish list with Seigetek etc...

After watching the vid I am even more determined to

      NOT buy a Titan

Good vid, amazing build - heck 7.4v would have done

but as Luke said he did it to prove a point

not he can't build it, but chooses NOT to build wanker guns

  22. Quick share, GSPEC mode activated. Using a new FAST hop with SBA 60 flat hop and a ZCI 380mm stainless @ak2m4 barrel, it does protrude into the suppressor a bit but wow does it feel more agile.
