This weeks video is giving a small update on the 4.3 Battlecat build and I've also laid my hands on a skirmish 4.3 as well (well kind of but watch the vid). Bit of details about the plans for that and where they are going and what I've done to make my skirmish sidearm more user friendly. In other news...my custom barrel for the Battlecat is nearing fruition now, that should be here within the next month. I have one of Pete's (AK2M4)'s new springs to check out so a non scientific comparison video is coming on that soon as well and mid-May I have a full CQB day booked so hopefully some more gameplay from a previously unplayed site! A celebratory and excited return to Airsoft so thought I'd share some of my non-shooty kit. Yes there is a slight inspiration from our very own @GAMBLE here as he's covered some loadout videos recently but imitation is genuinely one of the highest forms of flattery 😎

For a tight CQB all you really need is a tapped extended mag with a speedloader in your pocket. That is the very boring answer though. When I played The Department last year one of the locals was running a drum mag, I appreciate they would be good for a purpose but I guess it depends on if you single fire or suppress?

I guess they will get here when they arrive. I bought a new 4.3 yesterday to use the slide with. My older 4.3 that I was going to use has some rough edges which I just wasn't going to be happy with so my thinking is transfer the upgraded parts onto the new one which will then have the battlecat and the older one will get the "spare upgrade parts" plus a couple new goodies and be my dedicated non-gucci hi capa for sniper side arm duties. Just means I'll be hammering HCH for other parts until the battlecat arrives lol

Balystik reg will do dual line no problems. you could tap your mags for cheap dual wielding but I've heard it isn't as effective or fun as you'd think. I absolutely guarantee you that the Battlecats are blocking the suez right now. That's just the luck we've had with them.

Unless it's filtered, dont hand pump. You get moisture in the tank and it'll rot from the inside. Speedsofting is easy, overshoot rentals, if you get shot call 50/50 and always, always carry a pack of tissues to offer up to the mil simmers.

Fan boi'ing aside, HPA gives a far more consistent and cleaner propellant in a hi capa (well most gbb's). The M4 mag thing does get frowned at but you need to use one to appreciate it and then it just becomes "your thing" and you end up "that guy". A fried of mine, staunchly against HPA and certainly against M4 mags into pistols played 1 day against me using mine and was sold.

If you can cancel the Tapp adapter. Cancel it. Tapp are know for feed issues, Primary adapter is where you want to be looking. Similar price, far better product. M4 mags in a pistol is fine. It's functional, efficient and if you already have M4 mags why go elsewhere? I just got some EPM1's for mine. So much awesomeness lol

Gas routers are one component to this. The TM mags may require a stronger hammer spring to get more from them.

Another week and another video, cannot wait to start getting some gameplay going but for now, let's have a look at my AAP01 in it's current form. Also a bonus video, been working on that Golden Match again, chronoing on 0.25's at 80psi, this thing should be called vindaloo it's that spicy lol

My AA mag has annoyed me, it seems to jam right near the top where the dual stack merges to 1. Have a guarder aluminium case for it coming soon so that should fix it. Newer aaps are now coming with a better hammer, it's shiny silver, apparently more durable. Did a quick test on consistency with nozzle valve spring and really firmed up results, consistent 299 now.

Had a CowCow CCT-TMHC-030 arrive this morning, using the shiny steel spring as supposedly this increases consistency as I've noticed I get about 4-5 shots at 299 then a shot dips to 278/279 then back to 299. (Chrono on 0.25s). Installed but will test later in the week.

This week's dropped earlier than I expected. Anyway, some conquest action from the local CQB and a very hyped up can't wait for the 18th May as I'm booked into another CQB for a 13 hour session. Yes going to be full of bruises that week!

Supposedly some have already been shipped to the US (or so a US retailer has said). Usually AM drop an image on their social media and they're available that day from the stockists. The 4.3 Battlecat push has been a little unique in the way they have approached it. I'm hearing rumbles of April, not sure early or late but April has been mentioned by a couple of informed people and giving a couple of weeks for HK to ship to US sounds about right. I think the long and short of it is to look at a 5.1 battlecat and imagine it smaller, suppsedly they've been shaped for the 3.8 frame so on a 4.3 they'll look good (straight lines where your frame is) but if you run a 3.8 frame you'll have a cutaway like the 5.1's do.

Small update on where I am with my little channel and where I want to go with it. Over the last week I've invested in a proper GoPro to improve the quality of the footage on my videos, the £30 Apeman just isn't cutting it any more and I've also upgraded my video editor software and brought that up to date as well (Magix/Sony/Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum is currently only £30 for anyone interested). With regards to the footage, the last however many weeks have been fun going over the technicals and spec lists of my weapons and I've not really started on my "primary" weapons yet but as we are now less than a month away from getting back out there I will be swinging my focus towards some honest gameplay footage, no hit marker stuff, just honest POV of some of the game situations and sites I go to with the odd montage added in for when there has been a fast paced CQB session. Speaking of which... there is now another CQB due to open up within 20 minutes of where I live which is going to give me a nice variance of location especially when tied in to my montly "big" outing with the rest of the Recon101 guys. My channel has already hit my first self imposed milestone and has surpassed 50 subscribers, not sure how or why given most of the content is me ranting about how shite Golden Eagle pistols are but thank you to those already subbed and for anyone reading and who isn't yet, please do give me a sub as I would really like to make it to 100 subs before summer. Overall I'm super exctied to be getting back out next month and given how much turmoil is caused online by clickbaited videos, false claims of many descriptions and the general focus on promoting "angst". I am looking forward to reflecting a true airsoft experience even if it doesn't get my views into the thousands.
