A small rant
Airpig41 and 9 others reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
People need to bare in mind that any damage in shipping is the seller's responsibility. If they're not going to be helpful then hit them where it hurts and get a refund via however you paid. This is why you don't pay via bank transfer or PayPal f&f and quite frankly anyone who does still use these is asking for trouble10 points -

A slack handful of everything I need to build an m733 turned up this afternoon from 18airsoft. Superb service as ever -order placed with them Thursday afternoon last week , with the cheapest postage option selected. 4 calendar days to my door.... it depends how many parts you are buying. Non UK base retailers offered to post guns in two or more parts for a while to get round HMRC, they got wised and cracked down on anything airsoft for awhile. I have had UKARA requests for mags.2 points

You dont need a UKARA for importing parts . However , depending on the carrier , they might want proof of a defence . ups in particular are bloody awful for that sort of thing . They are one of oldest Airsoft shops outside of Japan. I have bought for them multiple times over the years. Just be aware they are Hong Kong based, you will need to include shipping and import tax into the price, HMRC is going to want a valid UKARA number. It could take several weeks for your purchase to be delivered and clear customs. Unless you can't get it in the UK I wouldn't import unless you are still going to save serious money after fees.2 points -

Rebuilt an old S&T IDZ Stock to fit to my VFC after discovering a new one would cost £40+ from China. Also managed to fit an S&T "Enhanced" Gas Block to my standard VFC barrel meaning I don't need to take a gamble on Clutch Precisions shitty QC just for the sake of having a "correct" gas block. All that's left to do now is get the KA4 top rail to replace the plastic IDZ and then my VFC G36KA4 GBBR will be "done" (It never is done though, lets be real...)2 points

Player marshals may or may not be effective, but they are not cringe, which is also the case for many of the items in that long list. I have acted as a player marshal from time to time, but always in collaboration with non-player marshals. The role is useful for keeping an eye on behaviour within teams.2 points -

Here's my M4 (Specna Edge), my brother's M16 (Specna Core I think) and my XM177 (E&C). The M4 has a Perun hybrid, 14:1 gears, solid bushings and compression set from Mr Ak2m4, motor is a bit of a mutt I built by putting the armature from a high torque motor into the case of a high torque, high speed one from AliExpress. Barrel is the original brass Specna 6.03 and uses a Macaron 60 hop rubber, omega nub. It shoots like a laser (in Airsoft terms) and has decent range. ROF is about 23rps on 2s I think? The M16 is bone stock and this also shoots fantastically, with decent range too- my brother is going to leave that as is. He has great fun blasting people with the 203 too, usually accompanied by giggling... The XM is my favourite to look at, the trades are fantastic and I love the old school integrated carry handle over the M4's detachable one. It has an upgraded compression set and nozzle, again from ak2m4, and a 6.02 stainless barrel. Hop is the same as the M4. It's running 16:1 gears and I have a Perun hybrid on the way for it. The problem I have with the XM is that it does not shoot as accurately as the M4, I get the odd curler which goes off to the side now and then. I may remove the barrel and try to polish it a bit to see if that helps at all...2 points -

Very pleasant yeah. Well once I got there anyway, there was that tube strike which made the travel a 'mare and the current middle east situation caused the usual protests outside to get cranked up a notch. Very enjoyable once I was there though. I could be slightly biased since I've always got in for free though. No the gun world defo stole that idea from.. I dunno whoever was doing sew/iron on patches, but they added velcro, then the airsoft companies started knocking off those designs and it spread from there (just like basically everything in airsoft).1 point

DMR suggestions & Cost to lock an AEG to Semi
Impulse reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
I'd second this. In fact, it's exactly what I did (albeit with a maple leaf rubber). No need to take it to a tech to semi lock though - the Cyma SR25 is about as easy as it gets to semi-lock - you simply need to put a couple of washers onto the rear body pin, such that they are sandwiched between the inner face of the receiver and the outer face (left hand side) of the gearbox. This is enough to stop the rearward movement of the selector plate so that it can't move into the full auto position. SR25 mags are cheap, and easy to get. The Battleaxe ones with the fake bullet window work excellently in the Cyma SR25, and hold an obscene number of BBs.1 point -
Only played there once, back in January 2020, right before lockdowns... it was my first ever airsoft game after my brother convinced me to give it a try, so TBH I wasn't really focusing on the way the site was run/set up as I had no prior frame of reference. Was a good site with good game modes and props. One thing I will say is to echo @mightyjebus... take a torch. There are a lot of dark (but not pitch black) areas in the cell blocks, so a torch will come in handy. Honestly want to return to this site again, but due to other commitments, I will be limited on game days for a few months... hopefully in the new year.1 point

History of the GBBR Purchased brand new back in July 2021 from samoon it was my woodland primary gun, everyone mostly uses M4's so it's nice having something different. Mostly everything is the original parts with only the hop up chamber and bucking / inner barrel being replaced. I added a riser to the top rail as this allows for picatinny sighs to be mounted and additionally it's easier to see down your sight if you have any kind of face protection. Comes with the following: · 4 x GHK 553 GMAG Gas Magazines · GHK 551 · Maple Leaf Hop Up Chamber & Bucking (installed) · Grub Screw NPAS (installed) · UTG Slim Picatinny/weaver Riser Mount, 0.5" Height, 13 Slot · Maple Leaf Crazy Jet Inner Barrel (installed) · Comrade Quiche Speed Loader Adapter x2 · AIRTACUK GHK 553 HPA Adapter (M4 Base) · Maple Leaf Bucking x2 · Base plates with hole with HPA adapters (original are currently installed) · HPA adapters x3 · Magpul 7.62 Mag Assists · Additional Flash Hider · DD Style SG-556 Suppressor · Triple Mag Pouch for 553 magazines in black and ranger green Demo I will post this tomorrow. Reason for sale I started using the GHK AUG instead and this has just been sat on my workshop wall for around two years now and I am starting a new hobby (camping) which is proving to be expensive I have decided to sell some of my gear to fund this. Condition As it was my primary there are scuffs but it actually looks really good thanks to the cerakote coating. The only issue is that the 3 round bust is no longer working, I am not sure when this stopped working and I haven't got around to trying to work out how to fix it but I know that the burst fire kits can be purchased on samoon. While using this RIF it was mostly always on semi-automatic due to site rules so I am not sure when the problem with the burst fire mode occurred. All magazines are in fully working condition with no leaks or cracks in the feed lips. Shipping & Payment The price includes shipping but if you're willing to collect then I will knock £50 off the asking price, I am based just outside of Nottingham. I am only willing to ship this item within the UK PayPal only will be used for if the RIF is posted and I will send you an invoice which is protected however if you're collecting I am happy with cash in hand. Questions If you have any questions please drop me a message on here and I will get back to you as soon as possible.375.00 GBP

FPS Question: Looking to buy a CQB P90 and need advice.
Cannonfodder reacted to MrTea for a topic
If you're dead set on a P90, i'd say save a bit of cash and go for the Novritsch option. It's slightly cheaper and has some upgrades pre-installed. Mag carrying solutions are kinda terrible all over in my opinion but Novritsch helped with his SSR90 mag pouches which can be mounted horizontally however, at 16 euro per pouch, it gets spendy fast. Magazine wise, the best i've used are the King Arms 100 round mags (£62 for a box of 5 at Firesupport). The MAG branded ones are hard to find and struggle to feed in my experience without additional work/modification, the CYMA and TM ones only hold 68 BBs. Novritsch sells 100 rounds mid caps for 19 euro each - he cancelled production of the 180 BB magazines because they wouldn't feed reliably AFAIK. If I remember rightly, the Krytac P90 mags hold 200 BBs but they're about £35 EACH. As for FPS; it doesn't really matter. You can adjust FPS after purchase by changing the spring in the gun. Some have 'quick change springs' which makes it super easy to change - some do not and you have to open the gearbox. The Novritsch version has a quick change. The best advice is from Austeyr - before buying, see if you can hold a P90 from another player or a shop to see if it's comfortable for you.1 point -
If I was doing it, I'd just get a Cyma platinum SR-25, a power appropriate spring, a ZCI m4 hop unit (the stock one has a weird arm, or at least mine did) and a quantum hop rubber. Setting them to semi-only isn't too difficult, though if you don't know what you're doing I'd get a good tech to do it, and the larger cylinder volume can be helpful for setting it up efficiently on heavier ammo. Quick change spring system is very useful for going to different sites or events that may have different power limits, and you won't have anyone saying "that's not a real DMR" at events that require real-world DMR platforms.1 point

I've spoken to them / him and the response was... I’ve forwarded the below including the pics to Hadron who assure me that these are just machining marks that very few of the units will carry. These won’t have any bearing on the performance of the unit. ... so I'm happy to go ahead and install it, but will stop if I feel the inner barrel catching at all. The response also implies that some other purchasers of it will have the same marks. I'll probably install it during next week and then pop down the farm my brother works on to test it safely at range in a quiet field (and compare it to my DMR). Also in your last photo that's certainly not one of the assumed side arms to go with a sniper. It's good to be different though 😃 (I run an AAP-01)1 point

I like to keep things flexible so I've put this together as a base kit that I can add to depending on what I'm using or where I'm playing. 4 mag pouches are mounted two sideways under my arm and two more on the belt for easy access while keeping the front of the PC clear to make it easier to go prone. If the need arises I can swap the front panel for a triple flap pouch and carry up to 10 total. Or if I'm running an smg I can put the panel with 4 smg mags on the front. I have two large general purpose pouches for carrying tools, speed loaders and gas and some extra pouches on my back for things that I don't need mid game. Pistol and one spare mag as that's the most I've ever needed.1 point -

TM AK102 NGRS. Bought 2nd hand and thought I'd gotten a bit of a deal but turns out the previous tech work was very damaging. It looks like the original problem was the little nub that allows safe, semi, full auto had snapped but instead of fixing or fitting a new nub the tech had modified the selector plate, cut a new full auto slot in the receiver, removed the plate that stops the trigger from moving on safe and fitted the worlds biggest fuse holder under the front handguard. cue designing and printing a new safety plate, drilling and pinning a new nub into place, fitting a eagle6 AK selector and adding a leviathan, filling in the new selector marking with JB weld and then sanding and painting the receiver. Since I had it in bits I fitted a steel stock catch (TM one has a habit of breaking if you drop the AEG), heavily modified a lower foregrip to fit the NGRS (much drilling, sanding, grinding and then painting). Also fitted a mock Bulgarian flash hider as it came with the AK105 bell flash hider and not the TM AK102 one. It came with a upgraded inner barrel, gears and spring and is sitting nicely at 340 on a .21 point -

Your post wasn't deleted, it was hidden & locked, there's a difference. While I appreciate you were trying to give people a heads up, anything to do with airguns, sales or discussions, isn't permitted here. There must be better suited forums for airgun discussion, Facebook pages, or even YouTube reviews you could post. Just not here. & no, its not a cult, just an airsoft community, many projects are discussed here, loads of advice given, but there are some specific rules, which clearly you're not following. Its not rocket science🤔 PS your other posts, the ones you claim to be ignored on, are all pertaining to the same cheap rifle/upgrade you were having issues with. Could it be that no one here has tried to do the same "upgrade" with the same kit, & therefore didnt feel qualified to confidently advise you on the best course of action ?. Four posts on one subject (IN 6 YEARS😏) isn't a great example of you trying to "engage" with the forum, in fact it just shows that you expect the hive mind to be here for you, as & when you need them, & clearly not the other way round. Maybe you're right to give up, although I don't know how we'll manage without your input 🤣1 point -
I’ve had through my hands (at last count) 10 MP9’s, most of which were broken, so can make decent list of stuff you will need at some point. I’ll go through your list first: Part 153 (disconnector) - yes, very much needed. The main MP9 point of failure! Part 151 (hammer release) - not seen a standard one break, but if you get a steel hammer, then get this too WiiTech piston head - yes, but double check this doesn’t need to be used on the WiiTech piston chassis. Part 25 - not seen a broken one, I wouldn’t bother Nozzle springs - yes, get 2 sets! My recommendations: TNT Barrel set - so much better than the KWA hop unit WiiTech Steel Hammer (part 26) - standard ones snap at the sides, sometimes will still function, but best to change to steel. Plus it’s a pain to change, so get this and only do it once! WiiTech Steel Action Bar (trigger bar) - I have one on mine and makes the trigger pull much better WiiTech 130% Recoil spring - MP9’s can have issues if they don’t fully go into battery, this will solve that A CowCow/LPE/WiiTech piston head. Anything over the standard KWA piston head. They dry out and crumble. Beware there are 2 different sizes of pistons and piston heads, 14mm (orange) & 15mm (green), so work out which you have. If you already have a WiiTech nozzle I’d get the WiiTech piston chassis. The WiiTech nozzle will destroy the back of the chassis eventually. Also the WiiTech nozzle is very difficult/almost impossible to change the valve on…. Hope this helps. Enjoy the MP9, it’s such a little beast ?1 point
