Why the hell does an AEG with a specifically designed longer gearbox made for more air volume for long barreled DMR builds come with a goddamn ported cylinder out of the box? Had a local tech fit a full cylinder, as well as a Perun mosfet in place of the cheap Cyma platinum one, programmed for semi-auto only and then had some electrical tape put over the full-auto sensor as well so it's doubly semi-locked! Also no pre-cocking because it's incredibly snappy on semi-auto anyway with an 11.1v lipo (ASG Infinity U-18000 high torque motor + Lonex helical gears) and I'd rather not risk extra wear on the parts and doubly not risk me accidentally leaving it cocked after a game day and killing the gearbox parts. Now comes my part. I've got a load of springs to go through as I want to find one that will do 1.14J on a .32 and another that does 1.88J on a .43. I think the current hop setup will handle it, but if not I'll need to experiment there as well. Thankfully, the hop and barrel assembly is a piece of cake to take out and it has a quick change spring system; I'd never do an AEG DMR build without a quick change spring. It's a bit of a heavy beast now with the massive 3.5-25x56mm scope (the eye relief on it is perfect for me on this) and the bipod and MAWL on the front, but I love how it has turned out!2 points -

When I Google "Vorsk Hi-Capa" the first search result takes me to one which is £150. That website also sells the TM 5.1 for the same price. Most people purchasing them want something they can reliably skirmish, sometimes even as a primary. So I can only deduce that it must be the plain naïve and the "TM's are overrated, they're not even full-metal" crowd, choosing the Vorsk.1 point -

SOMOGEAR NGAL non functioning Japanese version

This advert is COMPLETED!

Hi all, up for sale is my SOMOGEAR NGAL. This is a dummy version made specifically for the Japanese market as they cannot own high power lasers so the lasers/Illuminator has been removed. This still retains all of the tactile switches and comes with everything pictured such as stickers and switch. while it’s non functional, it’s great for a wall hanger or to make your gun look sick. At less than half price. It has the same dirty look of the real thing (which looks like it’s been through a war out of the factory for some reason). Let’s be honest, you don’t use lasers and your cheap LA5 looks crap, so buy this. Price is inclusive of PP fees and 24hour tracked postage. If you have any questions please drop me a DM. This can also be send to places such as Germany as they have also banned lasers, but this is just a dummy so its good to go. Open to offers. Thanks for looking.£200

What would you get?

Being from the USA, what would I bring over? Street tacos from Texas is probably No. 1 on the list. But as for airsofty things… you can actually bring a RIF. It just needs to be in checked baggage and inside a case (I believe PIN locked for Airsoft). Heck, it’s legal to bring your real steel pistols and rifles around in checked baggage. I have a TSA approved case for my Sig 365. on the other hand, depending on where they live, I’ll second the motion to find a surplus store. You can get just about anything if you’re in the right spot.1 point -

My brother! I have done the same thing to my Marui and G&G MC51, I followed this guide: https://www.gtapex.com/08/airsoft_g3sbs.html @Hatchet has already provided you the pictures contained in my link, but I think you'll find useful information as well. AND the link itself, which at the moment is working. Here a picture of my second iteration of the conversion: EDIT: corrected myself1 point

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Well, just cos I'm not supposed to do any exercise while my knee(s) get sorted, doesn't mean I can't exercise my digits and purchase some airsoft kit, does it? So I've snaffled a couple of good things from the Action Hobbies boneyard... a large hard case for the princely sum of £12 (it's a bit tired and shabby, but it'll still do the job), and something I've wanted for a while.... an SLR! Well, a FAL. Well, a FAL carbine. But it's still a thing of beauty all the same 😍 A JG 3000 SA/LK 58 with 4 (count 'em) hi-cap mags. And it's been upgraded... a high rate-of-fire compared to my other JG guns, even on a 7.4v. It's allegedly got a Gate Aster hidden inside. But.. yeah, it's a boneyard gun - so it's not perfect - 2 of the hi-cap mags seem a bit buggered so they'll be conjoined into a single working (hopefully), and more importantly the single shot mode is a bit iffy. It's usually fine, but every now and again it won't fully cycle. Still shoots on the next trigger pull. Maybe the Aster wasn't quite set up properly? I'll set up a new thread for tech advice on that. In the meantime I just love the heft of this (metal receiver), and the look of it of course1 point -

My personal view is that it doesn’t matter what clowns/party are in charge. They would all ban anything in order to get votes so political affiliation doesn’t matter. All these people want is to line their pockets at the expense of us. Apologies but I’m so disenfranchised with politics in this country. I can’t see it being better under labour or greens or anyone else for that matter.1 point
