  6. For retailers black friday means one thing usually. They put some silly, never seen RRP price before on guns and then they tell you how much you could save when in reality that gun never cost that much in the first place. 🤣

  7. Through the door today were my M81 notch cap courtesy of Tactical Kit, and a Silva expedition 4 compass. Wish the compass had arrived yesterday when we tackled Pen-y-Fan in the fog but oh well 😂

  8. Eh. I think it's a matter of luck, even within a brand or model, and even by airsoft standards. Some people swear by CYMA tri-shots, but I got an absolute lemon with random hops and feeding issues. There's a lot of fragile little plastic pieces inside, always trembling just on the brink of breaking, regardless of whether it's in a plastic or metal shell. My ASG Franchi is much more consistent and smootherer, but completely unhopped. Great fun when you do get a hit though, and, aside, it's significantly easier to push forward with your trigger-hand rather than hauling back on the pump action.

  11. Berget Events is hosting its 20th game this summer. To celebrate this anniversary Berget 20 will go all-in on both ingame and safezone activities. The main game objective will be a large built up abandoned military base with extensive networks of trenches, bunkers, CQB buildings and plenty of props. This objective will be in the center of the map, contested by all larger factions. In the safezone there will be exhibits, shops and some special anniversary competitions and giveaways for both new and old players. The tickets will be released on Sunday the 26/11 at 20:00 CET GMT+1 Please visit the berget website for more information about the game: www.berget-events.com You can also watch a short teaser from our previous game: https://vimeo.com/884900401

  12. This popped up on my feed. As someone who often likes the idea of owning a DMR but is aware I'd probably fail to tech one for myself, this looks rather appealing! Also, I have a bit of thing for thumb-hole stocks, ever since the BSA Buccaneer was a thing (and the L96 too).

  14. Only reason to get the MWS is the better magazine and if you like the classic m4 look. The Noveske is a solid buy, ran mine twice now and it’s been great! Is that £449.99 for the railed version or the Socom with plastic forend?

  15. If there's a good deal it sort of becomes news 😉 I could've put it in general discussion I guess, mods feel free to move it Edit: Defcon have some decent reductions on TM gats... so if you're after an MWS or an NGRS it's worth a look...? https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/clearance-2/?swoof=1&product_brand=tokyo-marui

    About batteries

Here have a look at this battery. https://www.quadcopters.co.uk/lipo-batterys/3s-lipo-batteries-111v/tattu-1550mah-111v-3s-75c-lipo-battery-2114 I'm unsure why our Airsoft batteries are so poor. I realise it's out of stock.

  21. The threads on the mk23 are 16mm, so if you were going to use a normal suppressor I guess you'd need a 16mm to 14mm converter. The suppressor that comes with it isn't that hard to modify though...

  22. Oh boy. Well if I was efficient then a three pocket bandolier would work for every thing. I start there and it just snowballs to just take everything! Lightweight for me is an Arktis jungle battle vest and only twelve mags….. 😭 If you can’t clear rooms with a full stock G3 you ain’t trying! I should probably take the e-tool off my deuce gear….. 😁

  24. My go-to? A Platatac Peacekeeper MK1. Can carry 6 7.62 mags or 9 5.56 ones plus pyro, water, the whole 9 yards. Not cheap though. Also - you haven't told us what you use, what sort of games you play etc.

  28. I agree totally with the shotgun and AEP opinions. M4's might be considered a bit dull and common, but they're popular for a reason, the ergonomics are just so good. Easy to fit optics. Magazines are abundant and cheap. Webbing to carry those mags is easy (army surplus etc) Typically easy to maintain. So I wouldn't rule out an M4 of some description unless you're truly against the idea. If you stay in Airsoft for any length of time you'll end up with one anyway. Thompsons are fun but I'd rule it out for being a bit too niche... With poor ergonomics, and no option to fit an optic. (Optics may not be strictly necessary - though I found mine very useful yesterday when playing in almost darkness - and they're fun to buy) AK's and MP5's are both very cool, I'd go with either of those. Just consider the logistics of your magazines when choosing... Are you going for high or mid cap? Do you prefer to carry them on a belt or chest rig? How 'authentic' do you want your loadout to be in the longer term? You don't want to end in a kit cul-de-sac that might limit you future RIF purchases

  29. Sack off the shotgun and AEP idea (Shotgun until you have been playing a fair bit and fancy switching things up, AEP for good). I'm biased, because my first gun was a Cyma 028 - and it was, and continues to be awesome.
