  4. To be fair I reckon the sort of person who buys 'exotic' (non mainstream) guns would probably have a 'collection' or at least larger total amount of guns. They won't want to spend £600 on one weapon even if it is a TM recoil. They may own maybe 15 guns ranging from cheap Chinese clones at £100 to perhaps a G&G main rifle for say £350. TM would rather aim at the guy who wants to spend £600 on his main gun which will 99 times out of a 100 be one of the mainstream models. Yes m4 after m4 can seem boring but there's a reason why every cafe in England does a full English breakfast! It's because that's what the market wants

  5. There's a difference between people saying they want one and actually buying them though which is where the problem is found. AR15s sell brilliantly regardless so are a much more profitable choice. I mean people like you say have wanted a VAL or VSS for ages and yet now there are 2-3 different versions are available, hardly anyone has actually bought one.

  6. No. Waste of time and money buying barrel and hop parts for the WE Glocks. Mine is stock and it's good for 40m at least with .25s, I can and do run it as a primary, the only thing making it harder to use at longer range is the fact that it's a pistol so it's harder to hold steady without a stock to brace it against anything. They can definitely take the TM base plates, but I'm not so sure about the first ones. Only the KWA/KSC Glocks are perfectly 1:1 with the real steel, the Marui and WE are slightly wider, so it's likely that any real steel parts won't fit. It's a doddle getting all the internals out of the slide, field strip it to get the barrel, inner barrel, recoil guide rod & spring out, then there's a single screw holding the rear sight on, which also slots through the entire blowback mech. Undo the screw and the sights come off, and the mech just drops out in a block. Couldn't be easier. Front sight also removes with a single screw if you want to take that off too. You can post it however you want, might even go as a medium sized parcel with Royal Mail if you just whack it in a jiffy bag. Some additional pointers; Get the WE mags, I actually think they're better than the TM ones, they have silent fill valves whereas the TM ones don't, from what I've been told. My mags are all WE and I've not had a single issue with any of them in the 18 or so months since I got it. Additionally, due to the metal construction it takes a bit more gas to get the mech cycling right and the WE mags have slightly higher flow valves than the TM ones, the gun actually feels pretty weak and puny using TM mags. The gas routers are also slightly different; TM mags still fit and work, but the WE mags perform better on all accounts. Holster ought to be good since it's for a Glock 21 so that makes up for the WE's wider frame. Only thing else I can think to say is that they're actually pretty hard wearing, the only visible wear on any internal parts on mine is on the hammer sear, and the part that's worn is the part that the trigger arm pushes against to release the hammer, so the amount of wear on that particular area is largely irrelevant; as long as when you pull the trigger, the hammer falls, it's not worn enough to be an issue, so you ought to get at least 18 months out of the internals because I've hardly gone easy on mine. Two of my mates have the G18 and both have admitted that auto rarely gets used in games, it's more a party piece for mag dumping at the end of the day, I'd just get the G17 personally, the G18 has an additional sear in the hammer mech which to me just seems like an additional thing that could wear out or break. For all the use you're going to get out of full auto I think it makes more sense to just conserve the life of the parts by sticking to semi, and if you're going to do that you might as well just buy one without auto in the first place.

Aaaand here I go again! Delivered pics of a KSC USP.45 with a metal slide as promised And now, my current favourite sidearm... My TM P226. It's got a metal kit, a 200% (or so I think) recoil spring, some real steel Pachmayr grips which make the gun mega mega chunky so I put the stock grips back on, 2 gas tight mags with hi flow valves, and a rocket valve... Not too bad, if I do say so myself £100 posted for almost two 226's Enjoy my slightly weathered P226 And now the USP and 226 side by side for S&G

Pics of the M700 are here! Hurrah! It's definitely a long term project rifle, but externally I just need to touch up the worn areas a bit with some paint and then spray the bipod black instead of that nasty tan. Internally... It's a different story. I'll need a VSR hop rubber and barrel, some new rubber seals for the bolt and other such stuff. Then it'll be fine. Now... Here's the KSC USP.45 that I just bought. Not too impressed with it tbh, but the seller is a nice guy and is helping me out with getting a new slide so I can't really complain.. Makes me feel a bit bad about leaving him bad feedback tbh. Not the best condition really, but a new slide will soon fix that. When I finally find one that's in stock! Sorry for all those pics, just had a little bit of a photo spree here...

My M14 as it was about 6 months ago My M14 about a month ago, it's basically the same as it is right now but right now it's got a real steel SA80 sling on it, which is unusually nice. The RIS was a bit wobbly back then so zip ties were the order of the day Now for the M4. This will be an L119A1 in the end, but just not right now... It's only got a MOE stock on it because two tone stocks don't sit well with me Taken the suppressor off because I think it was a bit cumbersome, and was just turning into another DMR... Oh and I don't use hicaps, I was just taking a picture with them because I had to sell them... Honest. I hate hicaps. They just get dumped on me when I buy new guns Don't have any pictures of my other guns that I have right now, but I can promise more will be on the way soon Now I just have to take pictures of my Scar, 416, USP (when it arrives), P226 (when it arrives), Scar No.2 (when it arrives), M40 (when it arrives), and my M700. I'd just like to say, some of the guns ITT are seriously awesome, and I'd love to have them all!

Here's some pictures of my new King Arms Sig 556 Shorty with blowback. Quite expensive this one, about £400 normally, but I got it at the incredible low price of £300! Takes a 9.6v 1400mAh tactical stock type battery which shoots at around 330 fps, although having shot it myself I would argue that it was more like 350. Weighs 2.98kg which is surprisingly heavy for the size of it. Minimum length is 67cm while the maximum is 75cm. Receiver is aluminium, while other parts are nylon fibre. Comes with a 135 round mid cap magazine which is not a motorised type, so it also comes with a speed loader to load it. Iron sights are flip up which is very useful for mounting optics. Blowback is actually pretty scary, makes an incredibly loud noise, and I believe you can turn it off but why would you want to? I also have a WE Browning Hi-Power on the way so I'll get some pictures up when it arrives

I agree Here's some pictures of the Tokyo Marui PX4 gas blow back. It set me back £150, not a bad price. The externals are all plastic, maybe the odd bit like the hammer and the trigger are metal. The real steel gun is also plastic, so it's not so bad. Magazine holds around 25 rounds and is metal. Field-strips just like the real steel, too. Features a rotating barrel system which isn't as fancy as it sounds, just means a small part of the inner barrel turns 90 degrees when you pull back the slide. Comes with interchangable back straps which fit onto the rear of the grip, just alters the size of the grip for people with big, medium or small hands. The safety doubles up as a decocking lever, which is cool. If you cycle the first round, then decide you don't need it you can just flick the safety up and it decocks itself!

My baby is a G&G GR16 Commando with a RAS handguard and crane stock. Batteries are impossible to get in, but it looks so good that I forgive it. You get 2 Rail covers and a foregrip in the box as well as a 450 round hi-cap, but I bought 2 more for about £20 each. Weight is almost the real steel, can't tell you exactly, but I'm definitely going to need a 3 point sling to hoist it around the field. It's got pneumatic blowback as well, so it doesn't drain the battery but still gives a satisfying kick. I haven't yet been skirmishing with it, but I can't bloody wait! The pistol in the last photo is my Tokyo Marui PX4 GBB. If anybody wants more pictures, I've got 'em

Used my M4 at the weekend for the first time in ages, thought I would get a few pics: Its a SOCOM Gear Daniel Defence M4A1 which has been reduced to a CQB length and has been heavily Magpul'ed. Its got a HurricanE Eotech 552 and Surefire Scout Light attached. FPS is 320 with 0.2g BBs and it has a full metal body and tightbore barrell fitted.

Ok; here is my KWA B&T MP9 GBB SMG. I took these on the day I got it. Its great for CQB, with a terrific RoF. FPS is 330 with 0.2g BBs at 12 degrees C with Abbey Ultra gas. With Guarder Black gas at room temperature it was pushing out 385!!!! Downside is that the mags cost £40 each Anyway here are the pics: As I said before, these are old pics. The Eotech (Clone) is from my M4 but I have put a small Aimpoint T1 Red-dot on it and it is much better (the T1 has a far lower profile). For indoor games I also mount my Surefire Scout Light. The sling is a WAS SF Single Point sling, but I can use the MP9 as a sidearm; and for this I use a Blackhawk Weapons Catch that velcros around the Sight, onto my belt. Hope you like. Neil

My pride and joy, an ARES Defence Shrike AWS (Advanced Weapon System). Its a dual-feed (Belt-fed and/or STANAG mag capability), mine is the HurricanE full metal kit fitted onto a CA CQB-R (Only gun I could get my hands on). It has a Prometheus Tight bore barrell and upgraded internals. I have two electric 5,000 rd HurricanE that easily keep up with its 20+ BB per second fire rate. FPS is a decent 320. I mainly use 0.28g BBs in it and because of the TM hop rubber and hop-unit thet fly for miles..... Gun is topped off with an Elcan 3x Scope. (clone 8) ) Here is a you-tube clip of a real-steel in action:
