  1. Which site mate? I was looking at the Ultra Lite specifically.
  2. I think I might as well leave this here as well. I know it isn't comms protocol but also something useful if you're using a radio.
  3. Blasters are really common and they're okay. G&G PSBP BBs are also supposed to be good, you can get them from Airsoft Zone. The absolute best BBs are disputed to be BB Bastards or Green Devils but never used either of them myself. Personally I buy all mine from Patrol Base because it's my local store I can save on shipping. Actually did include some packs of P&J when I ordered from TaiwanGun (4000 x 0.30 and 8000 0.20 for like £15 in total) but isn't worth it unless you're buying owt else something cos there's a £12-£15 flat shipping charge to the UK (used to get free shipping at about 50 quid now it's like 200 quid)
  4. What makes Safariland so good? They're also like $120 :| excluding shipping and everything from the US or Asia Although I guess it isn't too bad when you'd be paying the same for a Blackhawk + drop leg rig
  5. I know I thought about it ages ago but would anyone still be interested in the 'Y u no take hits' patches? Still would need to decide on size (3x3"?) and colours etc. Also not sure how I'd make the design. Could put in an order if enough people would like one

Personally, I'd put 'I only take hits if you hit me on this patch' on it lol

Dead memes from '11 - '12 aren't really funny anymore FYI.

  6. Best you can get is probably VFC - but they are £35 Apparently it has bigger internals dimensions than the others King Arms are £25. Just remembered where I saw them: http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/search.asp?q=an%2Fpeq&Search=Search Out of stock there though.
  7. Yep over here they'll be £20-£25. I'd say go for it if you're prepared to wait a while. Shouldn't be taxed or owt since it's below ~£50
  8. I've used a couple boxes before, BB will penetrate a couple layers but stay in the second. Also have made one from a cereal box before with three pieces of polystyrene that just so happened to fit perfectly, but you could shove owt in there.
  9. Best mate says he might by an airsoft gun next month :) he dunt know what he wants though.

He used to want an S&T PPSH, I don't think he's an M4 guy and will want something more unique. Says he finds pistols boring too - even the M&P! Can kind of see where he's coming from though.

    4. AK47frizzle

      AK47frizzle

Oh! The Lct as val! Great choice for unique!

  10. I think the Umarex is an S&T (because Umarex just re-brand and get licences for guns AFAIK) so there's these? http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=8007 They're hi-caps though. I'm thinking JG magazines might also fit but not sure.
  11. It's supposed to be a solid colour. I can see how AW could get away with their snakeskin pattern, but hydro dipping I doubt it. But honestly why would you want to do that? Say you spend £80 on dipping, then you get a defence and want to change it back to black or something? I don't even know if you could remove it. Also how are you going to find a brightly coloured camouflage pattern? Or I am right it depends on the base coat you paint your gun with first?
  12. Yeees you've reminded me I thought I saw it on FB too (LadBible?) I thought DICE had scrapped it! Had both battlefronts I think PS2 and Xbox. Great games.
  13. Yes you'll need a battery and charger. The Raider is rear-wired so the wires go into the buffer tube. I think you'll want either a nunchuck style battery or a buffer tube compatible LiPo (one that's small enough to fit) The connectors will be mini-Tamiya (not the best since they're high resistance, Deans are the way to go but only G&P guns come with them as standard, anyway a relatively easy mod for the future maybe?) Component-Shop is a good place to look. As for chargers you can probably pick one up for £15, Here are some: http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/search.asp?q=charger&Search=Search I'd recommend an IMAX B6 but they're £30. I also don't think it actually comes with a Tamiya adapter either. (make sure you buy a genuine one!! I know Cool-Components is one place which sell them) 2200mAh should be enough. In fact I've never heard of anyone with a battery over 2200 mAh. I've heard the a general rule (if you could call it that idk?) is 1 mAh per shot / round but that isn't really very accurate. Would recommend extra batteries though -especially if they are more like 1000mAh each- probably one of the first things people recommend after gun including magazine, good eye / face pro, boots and so on.
  14. Hmm £30 gas gun does not seem like a good idea. Honestly sounds to me like you're lookin at the fookin "BB gun" websites It's a good idea not to buy from them. People would also say you should buy a rifle first and not a pistol, whilst true most of the time, it depends on your local site. If you're doing CQB a lot I'd say it's the other way around. I've already gone over it a bit in your other post but basically research and make sure you know the manufacturer is reputable. Too many of us starting off ourselves have gone and bought kinda crappy guns. For example I've got a CYMA M4, had it for a couple years, can't get any more now until I'm 18 (in November) IMO was a waste of money because I could've bought a much better G&G for £117+ and good batteries and smart charger (say £160 in all) whereas instead I paid £150 for a worse gun. Shouldn't really complain because it is okay but disappointing knowing you could have had better. Also already have a Classic Army MP5K so should've concentrated on upgrading that. I thought ooh yeah M4 can upgrade it etc turns out the thing doesn't even have a standard delta ring / barrel nut assembly nor even a threaded barrel. TL;DR Basically get the shotty, don't bother with the pistol until you get your defence. Then I'd say spend £100-£130 preferably on a Tokyo Marui (they last years, easily the best you can get) With your UKARA you could also consider ordering from EU retailers like Gunfire.pl or TaiwanGun (both actually Polish) and potentially save a bit. I'm sure you know this but I like to say always shop around and check out manufacturers / retailers cos it will be very helpful and we see a lot of people will make those kind of mistakes
  15. The M56 is basically the only tri shotgun that is spring powered. All others are single shot and not fit for skirmishing. So you either have the choice of the M56 for £40-£60 or a TM 870 for about £260-£300 (there's a Breacher and Tactical version) If you're trying to decide think of all the guns you like, try to test some out either at a local store or a skirmish, then research different brands that are available. For example CYMA make good AKs (but avoid the M4s!) the JG G36s are probably the best G36s (but again their other models are not necessarily very good) Exceptions would be companies like G&G or Tokyo Marui, I don't think they make any bad guns. Hope this helps mate and welcome to the forums
  16. Yup all G&G Combat Machines are good. Internally they'll all be the same. The difference in barrel length between say 14.5" and 10.5" won't make much difference (more dependant on quality) just so you know. There's also the option of waiting for a UKARA defence therefore you don't need two-tone (apparently Z1's painting service isn't very good) you could also buy from the EU (Polish retailers GunFire and TaiwanGun are popular) and you could buy some guns much cheaper (except they don't sell Combat Machines AFAIK, so yeah, but JG G36 would be only like 80-90)
  17. Hmmm interesting. Would be a choice between this and the TRMR for me. But, I've seen reviews on neither (well obviously if these have just been announced / released)
  18. If you're looking into BFGs I dunno what everyone else thinks but the TRMR seems to be the best out there. No spoon or pin to get lost and uses 12 gauge primers which are inexpensive. A high initial price but works out cheaper than buying individual one-use pyros in the long run. On a lower budget (because £80 is obvs a lot to spend on just a grenade) there's the Hakkotsu Thunder-B. They're £25 off AirsoftWorld. Welcome to the forums by the way mate it's really helpful to be a member on here noob or not and a great community
  19. Aww yeah college closed

  20. I think any upgrade with a pistol will be easy. You need to start by thinking if you really need upgrades and if so what needs to be upgraded though. I'm buying a TM MEU (and M&P) next year (when I'm 18) and thought about upgrades but as already said they just don't need it (range / accuracy / gas efficency already very good)
  21. You'd think so but I have noticed it yet. At Halo Mill I won't be running around much so it can't flap around loads if that's what you mean.
  22. Better pics of the M24. Looks a lot darker in person though.
  23. CQB Loadout As much as I like the helmet too it's just a bit too small. Might still use it but prefer the cap. Would be cool to try a watch cap / beanie too. Here I have surplus Peltor ear defenders (will replace with Z-Tactical Bowman when I get radios) Kombat UK cap, Helikon Olive balaclava, ASG Strike Systems Goggles (might also buy Revision Desert Locusts / Wolf Spiders or Smith Optics OTWs) TMC cordura lower face mask. Haley Strategic Dragonfly hoodie, jeans, WAS Sabre + WE NUPROL paddle holster for G17 Bulle UTP dump pouch in last two pics
