The cheapest GBB SMG / PDW I know is the WE MP7 thing. I say thing because it doesn't look exactly like one (not sure of the actual name) It got a lot of bad reviews. Probably won't be reliable. For £225 - £250 you can get a GHK G5. About £300 for a TM MP7 or WE Apache MP5A4.

I got a FOBUS GL-3 G20/G21 holster but the Glock 17 still won't without modification. I've seen on a few sites it will fit TM and KWA though. IIRC a SERPA defo will work.

Depends on the manufacturer. My dad has an Umarex one but it's definitely a budget gun and it feels quite cheap (but not so bad like I thought it would break if I dropped it) I imagine ICS on the other hand will be good quality polymer but will see if there are any replies about that. I'm sure someone must have used one. JG are supposed to make good G36s too. An M4 would give your more upgrade options in the long term though because it's the most commonly made gun and there are so many easily available parts for the AR platform. I don't think any of them over £200 are going to not be metal.

Well there's a lot of choice... ICS and G&G are both good manufacturers. G&P also make guns from £225+ Is £250 including extra magazines / battery / charger / kit or any other extras, or just the gun itself? Noticed it's your first post, so welcome to the forums by the way

Well first thing I can say is don't get a WE 1911 / Hi Capa. They're notoriously sh*t. Maybe OK in hot weather but no good here. I'd have thought they should work fine with propane as it's the same as green gas (w/out silicone oil) and seems most of people actually use green gas in TMs. If the PX4 is anything like the M9 it could be either good or bad. If it's based off the old model it might not be great, the M9A1 version however is newer and improved a lot. I don't know if they were released around the same time or not. Maybe the slide issue could suggest it's actually based on the older M9 (as older Marui pistols couldn't handle stronger gas as well, then Marui re-designed their gas valves to withstand green gas) In which case I would avoid. I saw in a YouTube video (one of Jarek4's) he had a WE Barry Burton M9 slide blow up on him too. BUT Don't take my input too strongly as I've never actually used or owned one personally. :\

I've just been using my pistol in CQB, saves having to take a rifle. A pack (e.g. Warrior Cargo Pack, Tactical Tailor Removable Operator Pack) for carrying more gear and BBs or something.

Hmm Arktis stuff looks really interesting. Ordered some Mil-Com boots and another Glock magazine from Patrol Base. Not had any time to go to the store so paying for next day delivery so it will turn up before members night on Tuesday. That means I should have 3 deliveries coming some time now.

ASG Blasters 0.20s or 0.25s in my opinion. You could buy a brand like Green Devils or BB Bastards but no point spending a lot on them to use in a normal AEG. By the way there's a quick questions and answer thread in the General Discussion section which is useful for these kind of questions.

Can't think of any other places that will be better. I was gonna recommend Airsoft Zone, never used them myself but I've heard they're good. And yeah probably the best prices around. Check the 'Places to Buy' section - there might be some reviews of Airsoft Zone there.

I've heard the nozzle will break very easily. The full auto fire is a tempting feature but I bought a Glock 17 so I'm not tempted by it, and the pistol will probably last a lot longer as a result. I think mine's great, and lots of people are happy with the WE Glocks. I think WE made some improvements from the Gen 3 hence the positive reviews. It's a shame some of their even newer pistols seen to have problems when they did so well with these in comparison. I'd say buy either that (but shop around for the best deal) or look at Tokyo Marui pistols, which are superb. They'll be around £120+ and are all (good quality) polymer, but worth it. TM are widely considered the best you can get.

Not worth £80 at all for what you get. I'd either save up for a better rifle (e.g. the G&G) or as you say you really can't go above 80, second hand or a springer tri-shot shotgun (http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-shotguns-and-grenade-launchers/asg-franchi-sas-12-short-version.htm#.VPuMlfmsWPs) Think they two-tone for a tenner. Got my first gun from them and the paint was good. I think they use Krylon which is quality stuff.
