  1. AFAIK the only manufacturer that makes an A1 model L85 is Army Armament. They're not the best, ICS and G&G probably being the better out of the three or four who make SA80 varients.
  2. Welcome Everyone on here is really friendly, always been useful and learnt a lot from this forum myself.
  3. WE NUPROL G-Series / EU-Series Holster - £17.99 Emerson FAST Helmet (PJ, Black) - £25 For the Emerson helmet, definitely the best price in the UK AFAIK. Was thinking of buying one last night off AliExpress from China and was gonna be £20. So only another fiver is definitely worth it. Other places seen them go for £30-£35 for the cheaper economy version. New holsters are great, much better than expected. Retention / construction quality seems very close to the genuine real deal IMI. Review to come, video made too but needs editing and uploading. Dad bought: WE NUPROL F226 Holster - £17.99 WE NUPROL F226 Magazine Holster - £13.99 WE F226 Magazine - £22.95 (I think) Tempted to buy a Warrior Sabre leg rig...but in my experience they don't work out well for me since I am short. Viper holster I got off Loz is great but I need to sort of bend down to grab it which ofc isn't great Next purchases will probably be an extra Glock mag and WE magazine holster, was looking to get them today as well but they didn't have any mags left.
  4. So happy with a purchase for once, nowt has gone wrong, not had summut break not work etc. Also loadout is lookin good :)

  5. Just seen that you can get Elite Force BBs in the UK, off ebay. Anyone know if they're actually any good? Might work out cheaper for some people as it's about 9 quid a bottle for 2700 and you it's free postage.

Cheers ft links Duck mate. Unfortunately don't have that many lads who r playing airsoft, but you're right it's a good deal.

High caps aren't my thing though. Have been looking at trying them BAW BBs, maybe next year when I can buy me own guns and I order summut from them I'll stick a big in and give em a go.

  6. Ey up mate I'm from Huddersfield Halo Mill is my local site, small but good fun. I wunt play a full day there but if you're close then you could go down for a couple hours on a weeknight. Tuesdays are members only nights and it's only £7.50 for 3 hours. Membership (they like you to buy it after going about 3 times) can seem expensive but I think it will still include a CQC training session in the price, plus a £10 Patrol Base voucher card (their shop which is a 10 min drive away) My dad and I were some of the first members (14 and 15) and had the training thing with Paul France Smith (trained armed police / SAS for years apparently) but maybe it's a different person now I'm not sure. There's First & Only who run sites like Manchester Woodland (Bolton) and Khe Sahn Woods (Otley) and The Sandpit (not to be confused with the UCAP place down South, it's actually another quarry near Manchester IIRC) Also Cerberus Airsoft with places like The Works in Halifax, can't remember any other places they have but they're all in Yorkshire
  7. Yeah from allt good stuff I've seen about them I'd say they're the definitely best pistol mounted light for the money IMO I know SureFire etc would be better but won't spend over £100 for one Do you have a lens protector for yours as well? Would get some lexan to put over but then not sure how it'd actually attach.
  8. Fucks sake microsoft. Apparently can't run Windows Movie Maker and need to install updates...goes to install updates..says none or 'applicable to my computer' Also should I get either an IMI or FOBUS pistol mag pouch / holster thingy?

That sounds like a right PITA Duck m8 :( Wanted a PVR for a while but figured it wouldn't be worth the hassle what with how you need a laptop to plug it into at the same time as the console...messing around with sound etc.

Sure could have captured some awesome moments though, used to have a right laugh on the ps3.

Cheers for allt help but I gotta say I've actually worked it out now. Found AMD Catalyst Control Centre files in my Downloads and installed it, latest drivers now...

So WMM works now and I'm guessing all the GPU drivers are new which explains why resolution is also fixed! Looks so much better in 1920x1080 now

Thanks Chocks I'll still check out those other programmes since Movie Maker isn't exactly the best

  9. I'd definitely get one [G&G Anniversary Edition GC16]...but no more guns allowed oh and the fact it's still a lot of money for me obvs, that doesn't help Pretty annoying seeing they're not out of stock or anything but I'm still gonna miss out on the deal. Anyway bought a Viper Adjustable Holster of Loz earlier int week (Wednesday IIRC) Should come Monday I hope Bought it just as WE released their NUPROL holster line. I actually heard about them a few months ago at Patrol Base and were brought out around Christmas, but I forgot about em until now. Still needed a fabric holster anyway, and will no doubt have a NUPROL one too for without a light. Speaking of which might look at getting the Nextorch WL10 in the new year. Can I ask where you guys bought yours? Because they're only £40 off a website called FFX yet all the tactical gear / airsoft retailers charge £50-£60
  10. Realised I never received the Union Jack / Poppy patch I ordered from Patch Craft. It was the Kryptek Highlander version.

Can't even remember it is was Patch Craft... :| but I paid 'KB Tecnologies LTD Leeds' £2 for it in November

  11. Holy shit 3 fckin awesome loadouts in a row :0 damn nice stuff guys
  12. Welcome to forums mate, I'm from Huddersfield There's a site called The Works in Halifax you may want to check out if you haven't heard of it already. It's run by Cerberus Airsoft.
  13. I'd go for the Anniversary Edition, it has a metal receiver whereas the standard CM16 doesn't. And of course it's kinda special since there are only 10,000 in existence. Externally I think it looks a lot better, not sure if internals are any different. But thing is why change the handguard for a clone magpul one? I mean, the handguard you already get is basically a copy of it, so it's going to probably feel similar anyway. And when you mention the reviews do you mean of the genuine Magpul one or the £14 one..?
  14. Plastic slide means more gas efficient. Therefore probably the only really useable 1911s are TM. Not to mention how their performance in terms of accuracy etc is unbeatable
  15. Warrior AS are very good, if you're in the UK. I think there will be other brands you can get in NZ (or from Australia?) which will be as good -if not better- and probably cheaper too. Especially compared to the option of shipping from the US. Also, there's no point buying WAS stuff in America tbh because the DCS plate carriers works out about $250 are $300 (£160 here) and everything is cheaper in the US so you can get better for your money. A good example is Warrior Assault System's Sabre leg rig vs a HSGI Leg Rig. They're bout the same price AFAIK in the US, but over here there's a massive price difference. I don't know any tactical gear / stuff retailers there though, and the only manufacturer I know is Australian Plat-A-Tac.
  16. Looks like a decent website....but if they're calling them "BB guns" I don't wanna buy from them. Yup as said before definitely aiming at a budget two tone market. Do you want guns for 'backgaerdn wars' or actual airsofting / skirmishes? Because if so there are loads of better retailers tbf.
  17. Mags for em are expensive, and it's hard to find midcaps
  18. Look at batteries on Component-Shop. Idk about the best but on there any of the brands should be good.
  19. Had PC repaired, finally...actually should've said yes to saving bookmarks. It's quite annoying not having them :|

bookmarks - pah just have 30+ tabs open & restore firefox session - no wonder my laptop runs so bloomin slow

Toshiba 1tb or 2tb self powered usb3 hdd - fill ya boots is an understatement

  20. The WELL MB-01 (Warrior L96) is a very good gun, but obviously will need upgrades. No sniper rifles are good out of the box. They're one of the sniper rifles I recommend, alongside the JG BAR-10, which is a replica of the Tokyo Marui VSR-10 (I'd get the TM if you have the money) I have an A&K M24, which comes with some good internals, but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to skirmish it yet. Nor have I got round to doing a review which I said I'd do, but disassembly proves harder than anticipated. Also I can't compare the performance to other sniper rifles since I have never shot any others. If you wait until you've got your defence, order from a Polish retailer like TaiwanGun or Gunfire.pl and you'll be able to get it a lot cheaper than in the UK. Although there is £12 for shipping, they're only like 80 euros or something anyway. But as Monty said, a bolt action isn't really the best choice to be honest. You'll see a lot of airsofters recommend against it for obvious kind of reasons. First off you're outgunned by basically everyone. As said above the need upgrades, otherwise performance won't be as you might expect. The same, or if not worse than an AEG in terms of range / accuracy. Only once you've spent quite a bit extra on them can you really see a proper improvement and advantage for using one over an AEG. But, that said, they are more fun and satisfying to use etc. Another thing is that you might not find the play style enjoyable. Sniping is gonna involve sitting back, waiting for targets, whereas with anything else you can be up close in the action which is what most people want to experience and the thought is you won't get what you are expecting out of a skirmish using a bolt action rifle if you see what I'm saying. +1 for a G&G Combat Machine though. Without a doubt the best you can get for your money, number 1 recommended gun on here. We always say new players should get one because they're great for the price. Wish I'd known about them earlier and bought one myself, but rushed it and got a rubbish CYMA. Best places to look are probably Land Warrior Airsoft, Airsoft World or Zero One Airsoft. The latter will have the best selection and according to their website the best prices on all G&G guns too. Not only that but you also get a free skirmish voucher with your purchase. Pro Airsoft Supplies did a transparent (therefore VCR Act compliant, no defence necessary) G&G CM16 and a package / bundle with the gun and a battery / charger for £120 but they might all be out of stock. Same with Colchester Airsoft, but also sold out when I last checked. Hope this helped mate and welcome to the forum!
  21. Sounds good to me if it's in good condition. especially if it's with pouches, but depends what brand they are / if you need them etc.
  22. Excellent, quite a few guys on here have em. Available in loads of camo patterns too. I know when I'm earning a bit more I am going to be too tempted to buy one for every loadout I want (e.g. A-TACS AU and FG, black for my indoor loadout which is WIP etc) Everything else is either only slightly cheaper or a lot more, so it's probably the best value for money PC you can get, considering the quality and price of other PCs that are inferior. For example Flyye ones are from around £70 (for a FAPC) up to around £300 for some. Instead of getting a FAPC you might as well pay another £30 for a DCS (unless you specifically want a minimalist style carrier) or on the other end of the scale £300 is way too much to pay (you could actually get a Crye one for that - but can't remember off top of me head which one it is)
  23. Blackhawk Warrior Wear Performance trousers x2 £16 for both All good reviews and they're like £30 each new
