  1. I've heard the nozzle will break very easily. The full auto fire is a tempting feature but I bought a Glock 17 so I'm not tempted by it, and the pistol will probably last a lot longer as a result. I think mine's great, and lots of people are happy with the WE Glocks. I think WE made some improvements from the Gen 3 hence the positive reviews. It's a shame some of their even newer pistols seen to have problems when they did so well with these in comparison. I'd say buy either that (but shop around for the best deal) or look at Tokyo Marui pistols, which are superb. They'll be around £120+ and are all (good quality) polymer, but worth it. TM are widely considered the best you can get.
  2. Not worth £80 at all for what you get. I'd either save up for a better rifle (e.g. the G&G) or as you say you really can't go above 80, second hand or a springer tri-shot shotgun (http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-shotguns-and-grenade-launchers/asg-franchi-sas-12-short-version.htm#.VPuMlfmsWPs) Think they two-tone for a tenner. Got my first gun from them and the paint was good. I think they use Krylon which is quality stuff.
  3. I appreciate you have a small budget but I think it would be really worth saving up for that bit longer to afford something else. There will be big difference is quality from the Blackviper compared to something like a CYMA or G&G. Or hire first until you get a defence which is what I'd recommend. If you get a UKARA defence you could order from overseas (for example, Polish sites Gunfire and TaiwanGun -made my 2nd order with them a few days ago but no guns this time-) which is a lot cheaper. An argument against this is that it's not supporting UK stores, but you could obviously still buy other things from domestic retailers in the future. You could buy a JG G36 (Widely known as a reliable rifle - were used a lot as hire guns at skirmish sites) for ~ 100/110 euros if I remember correctly. Shipping is a £10 flat rate, which is good considering a lot of places here will charge £6+ It used to be if you spent ~£70 you'd get free shipping but now the threshold is around £250 instead.

Yeah, but it's not like "chinese knock off" is it? It's all decent kit. When you take into account operational requirements there's only so many ways you can realistically skin that particular cat.

It's still a copy, doesn't stop me buying multiples of each in every colour apart from multisham :P

I'll see, yeah the main post office is in town and I live close so might be able to pick it up in the morning. Actually have a RM parcel as well (probably that 5.11 belt) so need to go in anyway.

I've had the same problem with Interlink. Thankfully they provide a free next day re-delivery

  8. What about a Tippman M4? They're pretty new so I'd wait on more reviews and things but they are really easy to adapt to a HPA set up from CO2 magazines. The accessibility to a HPA conversion is the defining feature but if you want it to be a proper project build I guess that isn't the same. In terms of GBBRs, GHK are really good. They do M4s for ~£450, WE GBBR M4s are around the £275-£320 range. KWA seem to be out of stock everywhere and judging by the number of retailers who had them...I'd say there was never many imported or much demand? Correct me if I'm wrong but basically good luck finding a new LM4 anyway. There's supposed to be a Tokyo Marui GBBR M4 coming out, the MWS. It was announced the same time as the M&P and 870 Breacher but haven't heard anything on it since.
  9. Airsoft Innovations Propane Adaptor Kit G&G Kill Rag (cos it was a quid)
  10. Maintenance gas - are you supposed to actually use it, as in shoot BBs with it? Or just leave it in the magazine?

      GingerBreadMan

It'd probably do good for the insides of the pistol if you were to shoot it

There are two kinds of 144a, Maintence and not. Dot think it really matters

  11. Oh right! That does sound good. Actually a very nice looking rifle too OP - I'd recommend a good pair of boots, unless you already got some from cadets? A chest rig would be a good idea though, like BigAl suggested. Something like one of these? http://flecktarn.co.uk/sdtmb6nx.html http://flecktarn.co.uk/sdtmb1nx.html I have the second one (in olive though) I think when I bought mine it was cheaper but still a good price though. Alternatively take a look at Condor gear (Military 1st is a good site) as another affordable option
  12. Never really heard of BO Dynamics before...I think you'd be better off getting a well known brand like G&G or G&P instead for that kind of price.
  13. Hmm well ICS L85s are probably the most popular of all manufacturers. I heard they're more reliable than the G&G and Ares ones. Wouldn't recommend GBBRs to beginners though, and then you're looking at another £200 at least if you want the Daniel Defense rail, extra mags (probably £50 each) and/or any internal upgrades.
  14. Think I might get some myself when I buy a PC, shame they must be AR magazine compatible only with the Kydex inserts (cos I want an AUG)
  15. I can't really answer your questions but if you do decide to get one of these they are a bit cheaper at Land Warrior (£57.20 I believe)
  16. SRC P42 Case + other stuff from TaiwanGun Black mandible / face pro thing sold out so I've ordered one with a skull on for a bit extra. Was going to get coyote but would look out of place. £82 w/ £10 delivery Shame about having to spend like £250 for free shipping now...but the case is £40 so even with shipping on top it's still £10-£15 cheaper than the UK. (They're £60 from Zero One, must be ~£6 postage too)
  17. I've got a Nextorch WL10 which I think is great. 230 lumens, 80 min run time. Momentary on and constant on modes. There are a few reviews on YouTube too, most notably one by NASH Airsoft. I don't know any other branded or genuine torches that are that kind of price. There's the new WE NUPROL range of lights and the £55 model has a laser too, but it's just re-branded ACM so you could potentially find something similar or the same product a bit cheaper. I've also seen there's an ASG light which I think has the strobe function, Patrol Base used to sell it. Not sure you'll get all the features you want from one WML.
  18. You can put Krylon Clear Coat over paint which helps protect it from wearing off.
  19. What kind of site has a rule that U18's guns must shoot 350? I don't get that... The number (e.g 100 in M100) refers to the velocity it should make the gun shoot at in metres per second. 100 M/S = ~ 330 FPS
  20. If you get the model with the RIS, any Picatinny attachments you want. If you buy one of the models with a standard M4A1 handguard, you could replace it with another type of handguard or rail. For example, a Magpul MOE handguard (suggested them because they're common and a well known brand) PTS and Element also make the rails for em (the latter can be bought as a pack of 4 off eBay for a tenner) Same with any optics if they are for Picatinny (20mm) rails. Some scopes and sights are made for airguns so they will have 11mm Dovetail mounts but there are adapters available too. As already been said, depends on which magazines will fit by brand. MAG ones should fit in a G&G and I would recommend them. Check out Airsoft Supply Drop - £55 for a set of 8, £8 each if you buy em individually. If you get the same product off eHobby Asia (Hong Kong based) it's more like £40 but you have a 3-4 weeks to wait.
  21. Generally anything under £100 isn't going to be good for a skirmish...despite what JBBG says! I was the same when I started thinking why pay £100s when I can get one for £50, the cheap guns will have a really poor construction (cheap plastic compared to probably polymer and metal) The internals too of course, under £100 gears and gearbox shell will probably all be flimsy plastic and break very quickly. You'll also find they aren't compatible with any aftermarket upgrade parts. A few guys on here have experienced this first hand - bought a £70 AK off Just BB Guns...description said it has a metal gearbox, turns out it has ONE metal gear inside. So went to put new gearbox in and it won't even fit. G&G M4s are great for the price. Definitely one of the best value guns out there. Saw the prices of JG G36s today and they seem really expensive to what I had expected. TaiwanGun sell a JG 608 (G36C) for 80 something euro and it's 14 euro flat rate for shipping. You will however need a UKARA defence to buy from them. My WE gas can seems to have lasted 20 magazines already which is really surprising but I really don't know exactly. If the BBs are heavier, the accuracy and range should be better but will travel at a lower velocity. None of the questions are stupid by the way, we've all been noobs.
