I’ve only ever used stock TM or HAO (specifically the 11.5” for the HAO) outers so they’re the only ones I could personally vouch for. A google of ‘MWS 10.5 barrel’ will present you with plenty of options, most if not all will be outside of the UK (something to get used to with the MWS as you change out more parts, not a problem at all, just a note). If I’ve ever been after an outer barrel for an MWS I tend to put up a wanted post in the classifieds and haven’t generally had to wait long for someone to get in touch that has one available, YMMV. As for the front sight post (FSP) they’re very easy to remove, two pins on the sides need knocking through and a small grub screw on the underside, but you’ll need to be changing out your rail/handguard if that’s the route you want to take because as it stands the FSP is keeping your handguard together. Last but not least, my grip vote goes to the BCM Gunfighter, though they seem to be a pain to find at the moment. Or at least were the last time I looked.

10.5 is as short as you’ll be able to go for an outer barrel with the stock inner barrel. All versions of the MWS, CQBR through to MTR, all use the same length inner barrel… so yeah, 10.5 is your limit. Granted I’ll never understand how folks use anything much shorter than that comfortably.

Popped this up as a status and pretty quickly realised I never read them so it’s unlikely anyone else does, so I’m going to copy pasta the same text here as it seems like the most concentrated place on the forums for you creative 3D printing folks. If anyone into the 3D printing thing could get in touch about designing/creating/printing me an insert for a 'suppressor' to pack out for a tracer that'd be lovely, I do have dimensions measured up. Should be just a fairly simple tube unless you want to get fancy. Obviously happy to pay for the service, TIA! Edit: Update, part now sorted courtesy of the man below. Thanks for those who have messaged me.

I’m sure some bits will change around once it’s getting used in anger but the arrival of the can and sling sees this one just about there.

Hi folks, The January clearout has officially stretched in February. More info can be found here. Without doubt my favourite iteration of Crye style 'combat pants'. Lots of very intelligent features added such as the dual fastenings behind the knees. Great condition, slightly darkened spots on the knees as seen in the photos (looks like mud staining to me, they have been washed). Selling to replace with a size down. Looking for £100 including PayPal and postage. Cheers, Alex£100

Hi folks, The January clearout has officially stretched in February, found another box full of bits I no longer have a use for. So I'm 100% clear these are regular AR AEG mags. These mags are extremely old, got them with a RIF I bought off the old ASCUK at least 10 years ago perhaps longer. Have 11 of them available, were very much worse for wear when I took them out of the box they'd been sat in so I've tried to clean them up a bit but please be aware they're certainly worn. I have nothing test them in, but the springs feel lively enough. Overall condition can be seen in photos, some of them took the Krylon better than others. They have 'Adventure Line MFG. Co Inc Parsons KS USA' stamped on the base plates which I believe are the trades G&P used to plant on their mags but I'm not 100% certain on that. Will also include a 30 round PTS EMag replica. Looking for £50 including PayPal and postage. I've been as honest as I can regarding age and condition of these mags, the price is set to reflect this. Cheers, Alex£50

I'd tend to advise 2 tweaks (one free, one not) when running above duster/144a gas. Roll the buffer tube back one full rotation to avoid the rear screw on the top of the bolt carrier hitting your receiver, and swap out/have to hand a spare nozzle return spring (a £10 part) as they're the common failure point. I'm not going any further into the nitty gritty of it, there is a 258 page thread about just the MWS here. Main thing to consider when looking at a GBBR is teh cost of mags alongside the replica itself. They'll run you about £50 each for an MWS. Long story short, it gets expensive very quickly.

The answer to your question is three simple letters. MWS.

Misinformation ahoy! You're mistaking a site/sites for failing to regulate joule creep and instead assuming it's malicious intent on the players part. Hanlon's razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. I can't be bothered going over the rest of it, the chip on your shoulder is too heavy for me to lift off. Just consider that your perspective is tainting all of your opinions, and these fabled other players perhaps aren't the only one that could do with adjusting their attitude. In the meantime enjoy wallowing in your victim complex, because it's thoroughly entertaining to read the no doubt embellished escapades.

It's broken down here if you care to read through, some couriers will also add their own fee for 'processing' if memory serves correctly but that seems to have no real rhyme of reason to it (I recall UPS feeling particularly steep in that regard). Whenever I order from overseas I assume I'm going to get hit by the applicable additional fees. Purely anecdotally I don't think I've had to pay any additional fees on anything I've ordered since COVID, but don't take that as me saying you'll be fine go for it. Also depends how honest the seller is on their declaration, in this instance RW were entirely honest on the value of goods on the form. It's always a gamble, if I'd got hit on this particular parcel it would have cost me somewhere between an extra £150-£180. But this was for something I could only find from HK sellers so it was accpt the costs or simply don't have it at all, in my head that additional cash was already spent so I very much got lucky. -

Entirely possible, with it being cerakoted I imagine the paint has a lot to do with variance in how tight thing are/aren't. Very impressed by the kit on the whole, just waiting on a can to arrive from HK to finish it. Did end up opting for the Inline Arisaka mount which arrived today. May well swap the sling out for a Trex Arms one, like the look of the AOR1 one but prefer the functionality of the Trex. Will post up some nicer photos once the can has arrived 👌 -

Did they happen to use an aftermarket trigger box? Stock one slid in entirely fine, tight enough to stay put. A touch looser than in the stock receivers, taking the trigger box out of the stock receiver is always my least favourite part of working on the MWS! -

Sometimes you just have to full send on something you've been considering for a fair while. This was one of those times. Impeccable service from Red Wolf, HK to my door in 5 days. Should be a fun build, placeholder didn't last long 😅. -
In terms of function they're all equally shit (especially on a GBBR) until you're stepping into Holy Warrior repros (generally £100+ ish), with the next step from there being real ones. If you just want it to look cool in photos then go with whatever floats your boat, if you want it to actually work and hold zero you'll need to dig deeper into your pockets. Worth noting that all repros, at least in my experience, are red dots rather than holos. Much of a muchness to most, but the information is there to do with as you wish.

Probably close to record time for me receiving a stock MWS and quickly making it not stock. Very much a placeholder build from the bits box while waiting on parts to arrive. Very mayo, but as 'functionality' goes I've found an 11.5 URGI hard to beat. -
Some folks are just beyond help eh? As is often misatrributed to Mr Einstein, 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.' At this point going into every game with the mentality that you're going to hate it alongside every person that chooses to use a tank and a line as their propellant of choice will result in you convincing yourself of anything to justify your preconception. Maybe stick to target shooting, because I'm not sure being shot back at is entirely for you at this point. I'm picturing you're a bit of a safezone dweller as is.
