While I agree in general that they aren't the best, by sending a RIF using them you're sending an item which is on their prohibited items list. If you're sending things using couriers educate yourself on what you can and can't send then you're ultimately responsible for what happens to the items you're attempting to send. In my experience all online booking in services have a box you have to tick that confirms you're not sending anything you shouldn't be, given the terms they lay out they're not the ones in the wrong here. https://www.evri.com/send/what-i-can-and-cannot-send

As someone that used the classifieds a lot I wouldn't personally think it's necessary to be mandatory at all, as mentioned throughout the thread it's commonly known that the safest way to protect yourself is how you pay. Ranging from bank transfer/PayPal F&F through to PayPal G&S and/or collecting the item(s) in person at an agreed location. It's seemingly hard enough for folks to follow the rules currently in place, let alone adding more... and then the burden of having to moderate that. I've gone through the classified rules below and highlighted in red the ones which are already not followed on a fairly regular basis. No shade at the mod team at all, I'm aware it's a lot of traffic to try and stay on top of... it's purely to illustrate a point. Forum Specific Rules (action will be taken against your account for disregarding these) Failure to comply with the rules will result in you receiving a ‘Forum Warning’. Warnings start with the verbal kind and steadily increase in respect of seriousness/repeat offences right through to a ban and deletion of all posts and topics along with your user account. Find out more about ‘Forum Warnings’. All sales / trades must take place between two adults (i.e. over 18 years of age). All sales and swaps must use the sales template. Add additional information to let buyers know your trade preferences or location for collection. This will help sell your gun or gear as listing without pictures rarely sell. All sales must have an asking price. The price must be in UK Sterling £. All sales and swaps topics must have a picture, all pictures must be taken by the seller (adding a piece of paper with your forum name and date helps, but is not a rule). Do not use a retailers pictures - take your own. You must have access to the item that you're selling. You cannot be selling items that you do not own, are not able to post immediately or being sold on the behalf of someone else. You must include a picture of every item that you are selling. It is not acceptable to just show a box or use a stock images. Pictures must be visible in the listing (whilst we do allow links to other forums, simply placing a link instead of a picture is not permitted). Do not list the same item twice simultaneously. I.e. don't 'double list' an item. You cannot have an advert in both Sales and Swaps section for the same item, just select "For sale or swap" for advert type. Once your item(s) is/are definitely sold/you've found the item you're looking for (even if the sale happened elsewhere), please mark the advertisement as 'complete' by visiting the listing and clicking 'Set as Complete'. Second hand airsoft-relevant items only. No selling/swapping of any other items, this includes offering items such as consoles for trade. There are no exceptions to this rule. No sales of knives, real guns, airguns, or any item of any description that readily fires metal munitions, metal munitions themselves, or any other weapon of any type, aside from IFs and RIFs within the legal limits. The following limits are on all sales with no exceptions: <370ft/s for full auto systems with a .20g BB (1.3J is the legal maximum) <520ft/s for semi auto systems .20g BB (2.5J is the legal maximum) <520ft/s for single fire systems .20g BB (2.5J is the legal maximum) You must communicate with your buyer/seller once a transaction is initiated (i.e. ignoring their PMs or topics asking what's going on with a sale/purchase). If you complete a trade/sale of any kind via the forums, please leave feedback for the seller/buyer, this allows us to see who we can trust or who we need to keep an eye on. You may leave feedback by going here. Any suspicions about the item(s) or seller should be sent via PM to a Moderator. Use the "Report this advert" link at the bottom of the listing and include a message (this will flag an issue for Moderators to look at). Just seems like an unecessary addition which won't stand to curb much of the 'dodgey' activity, the bulk of which in my experience happens in PMs in response to wanted ads rather than classified listings themselves. I was the seller of the item, all prices I provide in listings are inclusive of postage and G&S fees. When a buyer chooses to pay via F&F due to my feedback reputation it's appreciated but by no means pushed, or even mentioned on my part for that matter. Every item I send* is sent with tracking and the appropriate amount of compensation on it to ensure coverage should it go missing. With full transparency being that the buyer couldn't have possibly known that at the time of sending funds. Apologies to @Kriszif they feel I've overshared here. *Where possible, PF48 with £150 compensation is as good as you can get on RIFs if you're abiding the 'prohibited items' rules laid out by the various couriers... assuming my information is still up to date here, which I believe it to be. For the most part I tend to arrange delivery/collection in person for RIFs in lieu of being able to provide adequate compensation coverage. Aaaaanyway, this isn't about me as a seller, just highlighting that not having G&S doesn't necessarily mean the buyer, seller or both are entirely up shit creek is something goes awry courtesy of outrwonderful postal service... depending on how the seller sends it. TLDR - I don't think it's a necessary change, but I'll follow it should the rules be updated... as I do with all the existing rules.

As mentioned above I'd be inclined to split it out personally. List the MWS itself with a single fully working mag in the £400 region (I'd be inclined to sling in the currently non-functioning mag as a freebie). For the fully functional mags I'd be looking in the region of £40 a pop, but I'd hold fire listing those and give first refusal to the buyer of the MWS. Just negotiate a price you're both happy with there, any remaining mags can be listed at £40 a go, with a potential for discount if multiples are taken. As for the M16 parts I'd go for £60 for the stock, and £120 for the M5 front end. £160 if someone wants to take both together. And just a general note, I'd advise unloading the mags which look to have BBs in them still. Keep those springs fresh ?

Fortunately you save on the burden of having to buy mags which is a sizeable saving but it might be worth exploring building a second upper over a fresh build. As mentioned numerous times across a variety of threads, finances are a very individual thing. Could I afford to have the MWS in full N4 regalia sat in a case most of the year until I fancy using it? Yes. Could I personal justify doing that? No. Does the fact I couldn't bring myself to paint the N4 have at least something to do with it? Maybe. -

Seemingly old habits die hard, and as much as I liked the look of the N4 MWS build it was; A) Shorter handguard than I like. B) A lot more cash tied up in what’s meant to be a ‘back up’ of sorts. So I’ve reverted back to the 11.5” URGI, but did pick up a new stock, stock riser and red dot. The Holosun 403R now sits on my Unity riser with a QD to easily swap it around on the replicas I use that on (3 of the 4 I own) and replaces an old faithful Vortex Crossfire which is back on a standard lower 1/3rd sitting on the AK. It’ll not doubt get painted once the weather outside is a bit nicer... or wind up selling it all because it'll rarely get used over the electric options I have available to me. Self awareness is important and all that... ?. -
Main one I’d be avoiding from new at the moment is GHK AKs (2018 and older is the generally accepted ‘probably ok’ date if memory serves), ohh boy what a shit show. Talk about a fall from grace.
-
Given the going rate of these this looks to be way overpriced, the optic being on backwards certainly seals the deal. Advice to the seller? Price it up, sells the replica with the mags and the case. Sell the rest in individual listings.

Poor guy can't catch a break, every post they makes he gets railed on ?

I absolutely agree, and the post wasn't intended to point out any posts that were or I'd have quoted the ones that I felt had. Purely highlighting there are two sides to it, and you shouldn't feel bad every time you buy something... as long as you're responsible in doing it. -

I will say I also don't think we should be demonising spending money on things we want, as long as it's within your means. Finances are such an individual thing, and for the most part an entirely case by case basis. Just be responsible. -
Hi folks, Bit of a weird one, but I'd regret not saying anything if the situation worsens. Not sure on the right section really, here seems about as good as anywhere. I bought an item (splitting it from a grouped sales post) from a forum member. Payment was sent on February 24th, this item was shipped in a timely manner (Feb 27th) with decent comms and arrived as described on February 28th. Following on from here I made an offer to the same seller on a RIF with some accessories which was accepted, and payment was made (also Feb 27th). Worth noting this payment was substantially higher than the one made on the first item. No communication was received from the seller following this payment being made up until last night when I received emails from PayPal show both of these transactions had been marked as shipped... both with the same tracking number. I then went to check the ad for the replica (hyperlinks are attached to message threads when you send the initial message via an ad) and that ad has been deleted entirely. I sent a message to the seller immediately upon receiving these emails, I got a reply stating it was some sort of tech issue and to 'bare with them'. I've since sent a message to the seller raising that this all feels very suspicious which they have read, and been online since reading but haven't replied to. Is this confirmation someone is trying to take me for a ride? No necessarily, it could be a genuine and unfortunate sequence of events for someone that is genuinely that busy that they can't muster the time to reply and provide me with the correct tracking information for the second parcel. Oooooor it could be entirely malicious. Fortunately I paid via PayPal G&S (because I'm not stupid), so either way I'm not too concerned. I felt I should mention something here because this seller does currently have other active sales ads on the site. If it comes to nothing and they're just guilty of some ropey comms then I'll happily edit/have this deleted and apologise for dragging someones name through the mud that's simply just very busy, but I'd advise avoiding until I can update one way or another. Cheers, Alex Edit: Item arrived, it seems it was a combination of a series of unlikely events and not great communication.

You'd want the 9.3" with a 10.5" outer barrel, if you want to go the 10.5" rail route you'd ideally want an 11.5" outer or a 1" barrel extension.
-
All priced up gets you into the £900 region, given how desirable not only the RIF but the mags are I'd throw the regular '60-70%' thing out of the window and be looking in the £750 region including fees and postage.

I wasn't sure at first and now really struggle to play without using one, which in some pattern of psychological bias now means I love how they look.. brains are fun. In terms of looks, my personal opinion is the fact its the 'FDE' one makes it look more off than if it was a black one. You've got the whole FDE and black thing going on, but it's too much FDE. IMO they also look better further forward, generally as far as you can get them before you hit the handguard but obviously eye relief means that may not be possible. TLDR, it's look better if it was black and further forward. P.S. I'd also be kicking that torch into the furthest forward slot if it were me. P.P.S. The rug makes this photo 1000x harder to process for my eyes.

Option to make do with what you have? Use some paracord through the ring on your sling to add the desire amount of length to get it comfortable. Option if you want something a bit nicer (Emerson is very much 'entry level Chinese clone gear', servicable for sure but not what I'd call decent per se), plenty of good options out there so I'll leave you to do your own research. Main point of advice would be consider what padding it has. The Ferro Slingster is a very popular choice but I've found it's just too much padding for what I want, with the T-Rex Arms one landing on my 'ideal'. You've got plenty of options for attaching them, so don't limit yourself to thinking it's QD or nothing. As with my initial response... there is very little you can't do with some paracord.

Best guess is they're consistently the worst selling versus black and fde options. When needing to hit minimum order quantities to make the production of an item viable in terms of profit margins it makes sense that they'd omit the ones that struggle to sell through. TLDR - It's probably boring business/production reasons.
-
Entirely reasonable, I guess I forget that many of these retailers have a 'brick and mortar' store which are great for folks to get some hands on before picking things up and just having a mooch... which will almost always result in some sort of purchase.
-
Nothing worse than when DCA is the only option with something in stock in the UK. Not only are you going to pay more for the item than anywhere else, but you're also going to spend a fortune on postage irrelevant of how small (both in size and cost) the item is. Clearly doing something right because they've been in business long enough to suiggest so, but I certainly don't know what it is.

Favourite: PTW, couldn't tell you why specifically... I just love it. Performs well, light while having superb build quality, a 'bolt stop' without having to deal with any shitty electronic recoil system and decent mag capacity. For what I want in a RIF it just ticks all the boxes and I don't have to sacrifice anything (other than money, I guess) to get there. Best: Between the PTW and the MWS, the MWS edges it for range but the PTW edges it in convenience. Worst: That god awful MP7 AEP thing Marui released 10-15 years ago (no idea if they're still a thing). I used to identify as a 'sniper' when I didn't know any better, the idea of an MP7 as a backup was about as cool as late teenage year me thought it could get. Fuck me was it shit.

Ultimately depends whether you want picatinny, m-lok or keymod. Keymod is something I've never used (and likely never will), I like some picatinny handguards but usually default to m-lok for the weight saving and the fact the majority of the weapon lights/weapon light mounts and grips are m-lok. You've got a variety of options open to you, I've only ever put HAO MK16 rails on mine when only swapping out the handguard and/or outer barrel. Have used the 9.3" handguard with a 10.5" outer barrel, the 10.5" handguard with an 11.5" outer barrel and the 13.5" handguard with a 14.5" outer barrel, all are great but for my arms/body I found the 10.5" handguard my sweet spot. Outside of that I've installed full body kits for an SAI GRY and currently have a Noveske N4. Suggestions for handguards is kind of too broad a question because the handguard is a significant part of what your rif looks like, so aesthetics tends to drive that descision in airsoft because we don't have things like barrels heating up and needing lasers to hold zero for the most part (if you're at the point you care about that you probably own NVGs and have a prety good idea of what you're looking for).

Feels like a big case of LMGTFY but there you go. Literally just googled 'Nuprol Gas PSI' and was greeted by this article as the first result which states 2.0 is around 135 PSI at 72 degrees Fahrenheit (about 22 degrees celcius) and 3.0 is around 160. While the chart lands on around the 110 PSI mark at 20 degrees celcius for 2.0 and the 145 PSI mark for 3.0.

I maintain that I hate the knee pad design granted that's not unique to the Platatac ones, I just loathe the Crye knee pad design/system and genuinely can't fathom how its last so long without revision. Aaaaaanyway, that aside the Plat ones are definitely my favourite run of Crye-alikes, glad you're liking them. Looking forward to selling my pair of regular Tigers on so I can grab a new pair in what is now the correct size. -
I’m by no means old, I’m 33 next month, but I’ve got plenty of playing/hobby experience. I don’t tend to pass comment on things I haven’t engaged with. I have zero want or need to watch other folks play airsoft, are people influenced by what they see? Sure, but broad speculation will tend to carry a degree of truth. Just as I’m sure many great folks for the hobby may have never heard or tried it courtesy of said influencers. I also refuse to believe those attitudes wouldn’t exist even if YouTube didn’t.
