Open to being wrong but 0.36s seems a bit heavy for that stock bucking? I dare say you're hop is cranked too high for the stock bucking to lift that weight, hence the blockages.

Nowhere near as jazzy or fancy as half of the bits in here, but if it works it works 🤷🏻♂️. Made use of an old tracer unit, dremeled a bit of length off, added some o-rings and now it might actually see some use.

Hi folks, Have an Angry Gun 10" BCM MCMR M-Lok Rail up for grabs. Not sure I ever fitted this on anything, condition is damn near perfect. Small mark on the fixing lug on the right side of the rail would suggest I test fit it on something. Looking £100 including postage and PayPal fees. Please note that due to work commitments I'm generally only able to post out at weekends. Cheers, Alex£100

New eye pro and dump pouch arrived, eye pro looks very promising… and the dump pouch is one I’ve owned previously so know what to expect. Aside something to carry hydration as we venture into the, what should be, warmer months alongside a can of gas and I’m pretty set 😊. P.S. A picture of just some glasses and a dump pouch is decidedly boring so I went with some artist licence. -

Hi folks, Looking for a Haley Strategic Flatpack (1.0 or 2.0), ideally in Multicam but might consider Ranger Green (or one of the Multicam variants). Not interested in clones of any type. Have cash waiting, PM me if you have one going spare. Cheers, AlexNO VALUE SPECIFIED

Looks like some new accessories en route also, source the Tokyo Marui Twitter account. Aaaand a link to the video can be found here.

Gave the Platatac Dax v4tigers a run out, up there with my favourite variants of the G3-alikes. The double knee cinch on the rear and the elasticated bottoms are particularly welcomed additions.

NGRS Mk18 was early 2019, MWS Mk18 was late 2020. But as you say, whether there is anything to be gleamed from that is unlikely. As Dave says, the bulk of the look is the rail. If you’re after the shorter variant the 9.3” from/by HAO is the one folks will likely recommend (myself included), just be sure to select the MWS barrel nut to make your life as easy as possible. Starting with the CQBR as your build base gives you the barrel length you’re shooting for. After that it’s just completing the look with a replica SF four prong muzzle device, and then throwing whatever ‘tactical gubbins’ you want on the rail.
-
With it being an MWS I dare say it safer as is, given that it won’t go into safe unless it’s cocked… as I imagine you know. But I’m now lost in some weird internet argument giving actual reasoning for something, so more the fool me I guess.

And then disappearing at lunch time once they're confident they've got their photos. Would be genuinely curious to see what a difference it would make if sites didn't take photos until the last game or two. I've never been able to wrap my head around those that seem to actively dislike all aspects of the hobby, but turn up every week and leave once they've got their evidence they attended... having spent their time on site either in the safe zone, spawn points, back at their car or trudging around as if they have an allergy for decent cover and shooting positions. Like, for the general populous this isn't perceived as a 'cool' hobby so I really can't process it.

As the others have said if you want rid of the shadow you just want it to be as far forward as you can, how far forward will ultimately depend on the torch. Narrower beams can get away with being further back than wider ones for example. Looks like you've still got some room on that rail to move it forward, so bump it up a few notches and see how you're feeling about it. In terms of which part/side of the rail, if you're using a pressure switch (which it looks like you are), it doesn't really make any difference... just be wary of top mount because depending on your optic height you may well end up blocking it. The sides, or diagonals when using m-lok or a mount that gives you the option, tend to be preferable because it's not in the way of your grip and isn't taking up prime rail space for a grip, PEQ box, sling mount, pressure switches or <insert other 'tactical gubbins' I'm probably forgetting>.

It's certainly not the worst take on Rhodesian baby poop I've ever seen.

This’ll be me done spamming the thread for now. Found a repro RC can while looking for something else so got that sprayed up as well (and modded a tracer to pop in there). Then looked at the MWS propped up against the wall and had a sudden ‘I guess I like what I like’ moment. Reject modernity, embrace tradition. Embrace both.
-
Nah, it’s all on there it’s just in the ‘stowed’ position. Because the Unity mount sits so high their mag mount has room to stow beneath the optic rather than off to the side. Just keeps everything nice and streamlined. This is what it looks like flicked up ready to use.

Had too much time to myself today for the first time in forever, got bored and gave the NGRS the same treatment as the MWS. Looking forward to it getting worn in, magnifier/mount not painted because I’ve barely used them since buying them so toying with selling and that’s a lot of ££ worth RS of mount that painting would hit the resale value of should I decide to.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
alxndrhll replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
But at that point, why wouldn't you just crank the turrets so that point of reference is zero'd? Regarding holding zero, a lot of the clone shite out there struggles with it on GBBRs thus rendering the 'repeatable' part in the point of reference moot. Which is why the question marks around not caring about holding zero on something that was specifically put on a RIF for aiming with are coming from. -

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

I mean, anything you're using to aim with needs to hold zero or you won't be hitting whatever your aiming device of choice is aiming at? If you're using something to 'acquire a target' and you're shooting half a metre to the left of your laser mark, particularly large targets aside, you're missing. That aside, the biggest issue I've ever had with irons is eye/facepro making getting down on them much more of a pain than the 1.7"+ mounts that I'm now used to. There are certainly better and worse examples of irons, but they're all usable... especially if that's all you've ever used. -
Largely depends on where you find yourself playing in my experience. I've gone through the gambit of fully loaded belt through to it just being a holster and an AR mag carrier. The sweet spot for me landing somewhere between the latter... and the latter plus a pistol mag carrier. CQB with generally shorter game length I can see a belt being a winner, but found that much weight and bulk a no go for woodland where you're out for an extended period of time. Just a bit of a killer on the hips/waist. The front PC/chest rig mounted dump pouch has been a bit of a game changer for me of late, though I have toyed with slinging one back on the belt just to have the option to speed up stowing empties over reindexing everything. Tekloks have been much the same, having such a convenient way of attaching, detaching and moving things around just shits all over tradition PALS/MOLLE. As always comes the YMMV/all subjective/I hope your purchases are all you're dreaming for (I'm aware the last one may read with some weird snarky undertone, certainly not intended) but I strongly suspect you'll wind up having some mobility issues with a belt that laoded up. Namely being able to crouch comfortably, which obviously isn't an issue if you don't take a knee often... just food for though ahead of a proper test out in the wild!
-
The last one I claimed? I’m an awful shot so the poor fucker has been trapped in there for a while 👀.

One from a few weeks back when I was running a chest rig for the first time in forever, certainly not helped by the fact I forgot to put ranger plates back on the mags. Forgot how tight those mags sit in the AVS panel, though the AirLite is undoubtedly comfy I found myself missing the structure of my PC.

Few photos from the Shift Your Rifts event on Saturday. Truthfully the gameplay itself was a bit wank for my tastes granted Redcon is far from my favourite site, but it was nice to catch up with friends and give the MWS its first run out in a while. What is very much ‘the usual’ nowadays, got some new eyepro on the way as mesh is giving headaches when worn for an extended period of time (or at least that’s as best as I can deduce).

Chopped and changed a lot over the last year or so, but I strongly suspect this’ll be my MWS from here on out. Only thing I’ll be changing is the Aimpoint mount to something a bit more fit for purpose. Internally just had the standard Supernub and HSB, have an npas to sling in at some point.
