    My new Tokyo Mauri Sopmod. From Firesupport, upgraded spring & gears, Lipo-mod. Just added today a Prommy barrel, prommy purple & flat nub... Upgraded heavy recoil buffer spring coming next week. Added on the Vortex Strike Eagle, but I also have "ACM" Elcan Spectre 1x4 scope, C-More red dot sight, Vortex Spitfire x1 Prism scope and my old Nuprol M4 metal handguard for various options for games. Going to British Shooting show soon as would like a Vortex Red dot & magnifier.

    6.03mm Steel barrel I believe and the hop unit is a standard dial hop unit, not as good as rotary hop units. It's ok, but nothing special. I find the standard hop units a bit fiddly when trying to flathop, as you have to remove more parts than the rotary style hopunits...but there are plenty of vids on youtube on how to take the hop unit apart and modify it.... I learned a lot by taking my gun apart. It was a good starting gun, but that was 2 years ago...a lot better starter guns out there. I wouldn't spend to much money on trying to upgrade it...better to save your money and buy a mid-tier pew pew.

    Before my Nuprol Delta Sopmod died.... I put a Prommy Purple in it, but modified it so I could flathop it. Ran great on .28's before the gun died and moved onto something else. (ICS..G&G and now TM) Going to put that Prommy Purple & Flathop nub in the TM this weekend and see what happens.

    I run a Vortex Strike Eagle on my Sopmod...really adds to the weight. Collecting my Prommy barrel from the post office tomorrow, so with that I have had this bottle of RZR .3's sat unused for months..can't wait to try it out on the Sopmod. Post a pic when u can..

    Ran the TM SOPMOD all day today...I'm not blown away by it.  Apart from the recoil (which is nice) I'm not seeing anything about it that's better than my G&G & ICS guns atm...  One thing I did notice, the recoil uses a lot of juice.. My 2600 Mah 7.4 Titan battery ran out by the last game.  😮

     

    Going to run it again next weekend.  Will break it down and give it a good clean as well..(Didn't even check the barrel)

      Recoils are overrated :))) People buy them because they want a good gun they dont want to touch on the inside. Literally a cheapo cyma with an upgraded hop and barrel will outperform it. Especially, if it's a maxx chamber (took mine out for a spin today, was epic af)

    Just picked up my repaired G&G (New gears, motor, spring, short stroked piston, nozzle, prommy purple)  Runs sweet as a nut and very crisp responsive trigger....and the TM M4 Sopmod turns up tomorrow as well...  Really looking forward to Sunday! :)

    Took a punt on a Night Evolution pressure switch to run my Element PEQ15 and ACM Surefire IR/White light torch. Works perfectly..much better than the supplied pressure switches, which are made of cheese. Just need to find a pressure switch which works/fits the G&P Dbal.

    Dropped of my G&G 416 clone to get fixed....tested a BOLT 416 clone and my god the recoil on it is good!  Much better than the TM I tried the other weekend...and I really looked at it closely, nothing loose and everything is tight and tolerances seem very good.  I've read that BOLT has some former TM staff working with them...  Really fancy a M16A4....but FireSupport are doing a deal atm..not as good as their blackfriday one..but I don't know what to do...Argh! :) :)

    1st Sunday of December, was about 2 degrees C. Within 15mins no one felt the cold.. lol Was mental day @ ACE Airsoft. NamesNicco and his mates turned up to play as Elves. (Here's a few of me...normally i'm hidden away from the camera too busy pew pew pewing as well as being a fat bloke.. Am 18st in the pics..was 27st when I first started 2 years ago) Also trying out my new M81 camo.

    My lovely G&G has died... :(  Thought the motor screw had come loose, as I got the dreading screeching noise.  Made an adjustment...started working but didn't sound right..kept adjusting..same result..eventually nothing..just a whirring noise that sounded like a mad dentists drill...so i'm guessing I've either stripped the piston or gears have lost some teeth!

      Pull the motor and see if there's any metal grit, but it doesnt sound good.

      No grit...but there is a burning smell.  I pulled the motor out earlier, connected it all up and it spins up fine outside the gun..but the burning smell concerns me..  Gonna have to pull the mechbox out methinks as see what's what.

    Yes, plus I had installed a Bullgear hop unit..which is waaay better than the standard one.

    Considering how impressive the A&K Mk46 ran on 11.1v 1.5mAh lipo...but saddened at how it didn't last long. I've decided to upgrade to a Titan 11.1v Lithium Ion 2600mAh battery instead! Muhahahahaha...should last me a little longer. 😁

      Daytona or GTFO.

      Costs the same and gives you a proper recoil feedback.

    Two things... 1) Bullgear hopup unit on A&K Mk46 bloody awesome...range & accuracy is waaay better than stock. :)

     

    2)Firesupport?  Thinking of buying a TM and getting it upgraded.  Any thoughts on them over Eagle6/Camo etc?

      FireSupport. Brilliant service, just bought a Silverback and "toys" from them. All arrived super fast, exactly as ordered and have ordered most of my RIF's from them. One of only a few companies I use for kit.

      Twice I sat there last night hovering over the checkout button...but I declined.  My heart said yes..but my wallet said no and with XMAS coming up.   I'm hoping Firesupport will do a similar deal on TM's for Jan...as I may get one then.   Merry Xmas... :)

    Hmmm...thanks for the heads up Just thought i'd check that out myself....but these ones are genuine. They work great btw...sound amplification is better than my Earmor. (Will see how they get on next weekend in the tunnels and rampant flashbang use.)

    Good day airsofting..NV in abundance by quite a few guys as well..lots of Tracer's and Mk5's etc...Loved using my BFG with 9mm blanks for the first time..bloody loud! (Took out 7 people with one rolled grenade)

    Good night outside playing @ West Midlands Airsoft.  Rocking the 'Nods' and had a blast.  Was quite surprised when the 'Airsoft Aciton' guys turned up...to do their own thing, then they joined in the games later.
