    Bullgear Hop unit installed in Mk46...and Maxx Pro CNC hop unit with lots of shiny bits to go in the ICS MARS Carbine...just need a weekend free to test and play...That's near end of Sept then! Damn work rota's..lol

    Got the Bullgear Hop-up for my A&K Mk46 Machine Gun. Nice of them to include some tiny Haribo. Only problem is the unit does not come with an o-ring to secure the hop adjustment wheel..and the o-ring one on my standard A&K hopup snapped. I've no idea what size or where to get one, other than wandering around B&Q I guess. Anyone got any ideas?

    Anyone know where I could find a upgraded Hopup unit for a A&K M249?  Bullgear seems the popular one, but can't find any in stock anywhere.... :)_

    MP5 lovers... JDAirsoft have Nuprol 100 round Metal Mid-caps in stock. (Picked up x6..£12.99 each though) (All my MAG Mp5 mags are broke..these seem like good quality) :)

      They're a bit tight for the G&G MP5 mind you...gonna need a little oil and some bedding in before they can be removed easily...Having to slap it home and yank it out..

    Well it was a great day of airsoft yesterday..my last for a few months. (Having an Op next month)  Only downside yesterday was my fire selector falling off my G&G SD6....glad I always take 2 primaries..but what made up for it was the Generator going down and all the lights went out twice in Drakelow Tunnels.  Total, absolute pitch black.  Perfect for me with NODS and IR illuminator. :)

    At ACEAIRSOFT last weekend...weather was shitty, but was still an awesome day with some fun scenarios. Since starting airsoft back in Sep'17 and throwing myself into my favourite hobby (Used as coping mechanism after losing my old man) My health has improved tenfold and I've lost 5stone in weight and still heading in the right direction. I love Airsoft......

    What amazed me what when you look down the sight..all you really see is the magnified (slightly) glass..the housing is very minimal and adds to an excellent sight picture..your view is not blocked by a large metal dials or housing..I was very impressed, hence I bought the sucker.

      But by that chain of thought your not going to buy ANY kit as it’ll either get lost or broken ? Mags get lost because the catch gets activated in the holster , so either get a holster that’s plastic or  get a decent quality cordura one OR you can put a mag safe strap on handle of your pistol . 

      As to the TRMR , there’s a unique serial No on it , take a pic on your phone the day you have it with all the packaging visible as well and no one can deny it’s yours . Loosing them ? Pay attention to where you throw it and DON’T lob it halfway across the site either ! 🤦‍♂️

    Anyone using NVG's, make sure you protect your lens!  I had my 'sacrificial' lens shot out yesterday...good thing I bought 5 of them. :)

      Yeah, they're good to stop dust and scratches but not impact.  Have a chat to the tactical optician (he's on Facebook), he'll sort you out with a polycarbonate lens and flip up cover.

      Yeah - One of the best couriers I use. Text alerts, real time tracking and I've always had it delivered the next day unless it was sent on a Friday or over the weekend.

    G&G GT Advanced MP5 SD6 (Fitted ASG custom top rail for my red dot sight & G&P DBAL2 - Had to dremel the rail as it didn't quite fit on the G&G) Ordered a pistol tracer unit so I can modify it to fit inside the suppressor. (My acetech predator unit does not fit inside ) Can't wait to run this next Sunday with my NODS in the tunnels.

    Well, looks like I'm buying a MP5, bought some mags & pouches in a sale, just couldn't help myself..now just looking to see if I can get a deal on a SD6 and rock it in the 'tunnels' next month. :)

      If you can find one get your self an ICS MP5 to say they last for years and there bombproof is an understatement ! Mines god knows how old and third hand and it’s still running like a train ! 👍

    Question!  Realistically, how long could you run an AEG on 11.1's before things go tits up without a mosfet?  I've seen multiple AEG's running without them and people say it's fine...but seen a lot of info saying you should run a mosfet.  For a gun which is lets say £200-300..is it not just better to run it till it breaks and if it does then upgrade, rather than spend another £100+ on a titan etc..

      Took my f2000 about 6 months to burn out the semi contacts.

       

      Unless its a unicorn gun with some weird trigger contact arrangement you can go without until it dies, for v2/3 boxes they aint expensive/difficult to replace.

       

      Of course if your gonna titan then even better as titan removes the trigger contacts anyway.

       

      The main reason mosfets and lipos get mentioned in the same sentence is battery protection, a good mosfet will stop you overdischarging. Whilst you *can* get away without it you need to be very concious to stop shooting the moment it starts to flag a bit and not just shoot till it stops.

      My AM013 has been running on 11.1s for 2 years since the last service.. No issues at all.

      My 009 on the other hand underwent several services to make it run reliably on 11.1s..

       

      Regarding your question: high voltage batteries destroy mechanical trigger contacts without a mosfet.

      The voltage is so high it creates a voltaic arc between the trigger blades, in the long run they oxidize and literally burn themselves into oblivion. Mosfets just take the stress away from the trigger..

      If you're upgrading to a titan you may as well kill the standard trigger and then upgrade, as you'll be throwing them away anyway

    Earmor are pretty good...I have both normal & helmet mounted sets. Quality is ok and have lasted me over a year with constant abuse... and the fact you can swap the boom mic from either side is a plus. I had to modify the PTT kenwood connector slightly as when connected the Baofeng sometimes the transmit doesn't work. (Shaved a little of the plastic/rubber on one side at the base of the kenwood metal bits..this allows it to seat better when attached to the radio.)

    It's awesome....eye relief is very good, Quality & Clarity of the glass is outstanding and the x1-x6 zoom is great..plus the free no quibble warranty is hard to beat. Only negative is the lens caps are naff..will need to buy sturdier ones.

    Titan Lithium Ion battery... Read good things about them...anyone else have one, how have they performed? Also, a quick question. I have a ICS-MARS Carbine, with the split gearbox..those things seem pretty well built. Do you think I could run a 11.1v instead of a 7.4 in it. (It does not have a mosfet in it yet...)

    Well here it is... Armasight SIRIUS Gen2+, with NOROTOS Rhino mount & J-Arm. I'm still waiting on customs to clear my 'sacrificial lens' protector (Bought 5 of them) and also a J-Adpt mounting or the Armasight. (More sturdy than the silver one I got from Singapore)
