  3. [Rantmode] Or buy a few dozen speedloaders and bb's in the common weights. Or a set of digital scales. Or invest in some tape to write the fps readings for different bb weights on the chrono Or just memorise the site limit for common bb weights. Or read about joule creep and what it means. Or spend ten minutes googling why fps and joules are different things. Or take the chrono with them and randomly spot check players Or re-chrono players when they're complained about. Or actually kick players off when they do get caught. We dont need airsoft sites to fully understand the intracies of physics as they pertain to airsoft pews. The community has done that and served up practical solitions on a platter and even then the majority simply cant be bothered. [/Rantmode]

*There's many more than pictured so it's open to quite a few so don't be afraid to ask Many parts acquired from the builds I've done for myself and others . These are free for whomever needs what specific part for their own gun. Most of the thumb safety's and takedown levers have been matte black painted and baked so that they won't rub and wear away as fast or easy as the stock parts. Blowback housings have been polished to speed up slide and prevent hang with heavier optics. I don't want money to cross my palm, all I ask is that for whatever part/s you desire you arrange royal mail collection from my address. You can use the cheapest 2nd class stamp option as they're only free parts and 99% of the time that's fine. No need to add cost to a free item. Just let me know which you need and I'll let you arrange RM collection (30p ontop of stamp price online) Stock M18 barrel Optic plate cover + rear sights Thumb safety's Takedown levers Stock triggers Herrington arms comp (needs short thread barrel) or barrel with threads at the end of muzzle Scalloped tyrant style takedown lever P320 holster Other bits if there's something else just ask I may have it Take care guys

  10. Today I visited a new site: Northern Spectres Airsoft situated in the grounds of Sedbury Hall, Scotch Corner. This site has only been open (nearly) a year. This site has one of the best setup safe areas i've seen. Large solidly built coverings with plenty of picnic tables available and space in the middle to move around in. Outdoors electrical sockets if you need to charge anything are also available and a couple of log burners. To the end of the safe zone was a hut looking out onto their small firing range which was also used for chrono. The safe area also has private changing areas, actual toilet facilities with running hot water. The site also offers hot food for a extremely reasonable price. As for chrono, this site does not operate at the standard FPS limits. Most of the FPS limits are slightly higher than the standard but because I am dumb, I forgot to take a picture of the sheet detailing the limits they use for AEGs, DMRs and snipers. The site itself is a pretty standard woodland fare with plenty of man made cover from tyres, wood and drums etc. The site has a few different structures with a small CQB area too. I spoke to the owner and he was showing & telling me about the plans they have for the site plus the ideas they have for a modular CQB space with lots of rooms and corridors than can quickly be changed so it doesn't become stale between visits. The player count today was pretty low, about 10 people attending, which is not normal according to one of the more regular players I spoke to. This meant the games were pretty much 5v5 all day and were kept to small areas to keep the flow of the day going. Several game modes like attack/defend, capture the flag, domination were played plus a game where you had to capture tubes and deposit them in your teams bin - the team with the most tubes wins. I took the Ares RDB out for it's second running ever. It worked fantastically for an hour before crunching the gears/piston. I took the gun apart and cycled it and it looked like it was working fine. I tried to field it again and it began crunching again - this time I retired the gun. I think it may have killed the piston teeth so there's a job for the next few days. I borrowed a G&G CM16 from the guy I went with to get me back into the games but had a lot of luck running with the TM Goldmatch in the CQB area. This site has real potential and if the owner is serious about what he was describing to me, the site could be fantastic. The one thing that needs doing is advertising as they seem to rely on word of mouth a lot. They do have an instagram and facebook but there really aren't many photos or videos of the site or players on there.

  15. Mate they keep telling you this: you can't chrono Joules. If someone walks up to the chrono, says they're shooting .28s, then the fps is 240 the marshal chuckles and says, "it's running a bit low innit?" It's not like it's unheard of for a gun to shoot at 1J or even less. Not everyone has RIFs tuned to 0.00001J below the limit. You might pick the odd cheater out with this interrogation, but you'll "catch" 50 kids with two tone shitters for every actual cheater, and hold the chrono queue up for an hour.

  18. Another good day out at UCAP Vanquish here. Met up with an assortment of players from other sites, this forum and people who I've run into previously (the Ranger Green mob). We ended up with a makeshift bunch of about 10 of us, which is decent numbers to make a difference, and I had for once actually brought comms along. Not always needed in urban sites, but handy with people dying off at different times and coordinating when trying to regroup. The numbers meant we could have a few people on left/middle/right of objectives and fill in as needed. As ever, marshalling and briefing was solid. First games were attacking/defense clearing through the site with the ultimate objective to capture the top most Factory building. Wasn't necessary to clear everything, but clearing a building pushed up the respawn, so it was a trade off between going straight for the objective and bypassing the other structures or systematic clearing with a closer respawn. I think we mostly went for the latter. Attackers had unlimited lives with defenders on a team cap. This game was subsequently reversed and after initially being knocked back a bit, we rallied and pushed forward into the attackers, slowing their advance. I was pleased to get some shoots in under barricades (whilst shooting "you're getting shot in the boots and it still counts!) and a couple with the pistol. There was no official timer/score on this one (or any of the subsequent games) but I felt we had had the better of the two rounds as we headed back for a tea break. I *think* the next game was capturing the objectives. We had to find a locked door and then breach it with bolt cutters. Having done this, we would locate a map giving us the two objectives we needed - detonators and uranium. We then had to set these off and I *think* then move another objective on the the final destination (Petrol Station). My memory is a bit hazy on this as either I have forgotten because I wasn't involved in the last part, or because of breacher syndrome from when the explosives were set off. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We set off from spawn and had some solid fights through the Office building (clearing up staircases is a challenge), through the Hospital where we located the locked door and location of the last two objectives, before finally getting down to the Hotel. From there we made entry via the side and then headed up and along the top floor to secure the detonators/plutonium. Highlight here was a standoff behind glass doors to a couple of reds in the corridor. We knew some of our team was trying to get in behind them, and that we didn't need to go get them because we had secured the objective room. All that was necessary was to keep them locked down. Still, various door opening/shutting and hails of gunfire ensued before I took advantage of them repositioning to lob a grenade down the corridor. Surprisingly I actually got it in the right place and got a kill. I can only imagine it was the lack of any trees to hit that contributed to my success. The detonator was then brought to the plutonium and a very large explosion in a very small space followed. The sort of "fingers in ears, open your mouth, get smacked in the chest with the shock wave" thing. Many lols were had and it'll undoubtedly turn up on video sometime. Lunch followed, sitting out in the sun watching the sea. Very civilised. After lunch a reverse of the above and then into the final game of the day which was essentially a british bulldog type affair with both teams being split in half and having half their team attacking, half defending. Both teams attackers couldn't attack each other, only the building they had been assigned to clear. As a teams defenders were hit, they went and joined their attackers. First team to clear the enemy building wins. It works fairly well. And that, I think, is about it. I ran the NGRS MP5, TM Glock 17 gen 5 and a borrowed Warrior DCS plate carrier. 10/10, would definitely be exploded again.

  19. Today I was at Airsoft Plantation along with about 160 other eager players. My first task on arriving was to set the hops and check the power on two new guns, an MPi-KMS and a WellPro We06 PPK-20; the former dialed in at 1.04J and the latter at 1.09J, both with excellent range and flight. In the first game, we (the red team) started at Swaziland; we had to obtain a crate containing six smoke bombs from the DEA Base and take the crate to each target in turn and set the smoke bombs off. The targets were the hill fort and the Bedford on that side of the firebreak and the well, the Cock Inn, the casino and any of the border bridges on the other side. We had infinite regens on a marshal, while the defenders had two lives on each side of the firebreak. The defenders put up a good fight for the DEA base but we overran them and grabbed the crate from the Cessna; the hill fort was soon bombed and, after a short delay, a couple of us ran the crate up to the Bedford and smoked it out. There was then a delay so that the blue team could set up their defences on the other side of the firebreak. Once we were unleashed, I followed my usual approach of attacking the village from the far end; advancing through the woods, I took out a few enemy players before meeting up with colleagues; the enemy put up a hard fight for the village but we eventually bombed the well and the Cock Inn. As the enemy had lost so many lives defending the village, there were very few of them left to defend the casino and the border, which were bombed very rapidly. Following the usual short break to mag up, the game was reversed; we did not know what the targets were. At the DEA base, I took up a position behind the wrecked biplane, from where I was able to shoot some of the attackers from their flank, before eventually being taken out. I fell back to the mortar pits and scored a few hits before receiving a little present from either a sniper rifle or a DMR. Eventually, the first two targets were bombed and we reset on the other side of the firebreak; learning from the blue team's error, we divided our forces to cover both the village and the border area. The enemy pushed hard, but timed out in the village. Luncheon was then taken, after which we played Ambush Alley. As the attackers, we had to march up the main street of the village en masse, being unable to shoot until we were fired on by the defenders, We had infinite regens at our start point, while the defenders had two lives. Our objective was to get a live player into the building at the far end of the street. Once shooting had started, we could go anywhere. I assumed my usual tactical (ahem!) position at the rear of the column; as we marched (shambled?) forward, the marshals threw a large number of smoke bombs to add to the atmosphere. An enemy player opened fire early, before quite a few of us had even entered the village, which meant that we could quickly spread out to the sides while about 60% of the team regened. The fight through the village and the scrubland to the right was epic, with great play from both sides. Eventually, one of our players made it into the target building. In the reverse, we made sure that everyone knew not to open fire until the head of the enemy's column had reached the half way point, as that would give us a great opportunity to send them all back to regen. Unfortunately, somebody either did not get the memo or lost track of where the enemy were amid the thick smoke and opened fire early despite my repeated shouts of "Hold". Realising that the enemy were likely to try to flank us, a group of us moved to the left to prevent any of them pushing through the scrubland; we had a great set of fights between the bushes and along the little paths, trading hits with the blue team. Having taken one hit, I was hit again and wandered back into the safezone. The game ended soon after, with the blue team taking 27 seconds longer that we had, which was amazingly close for such a long game. It was now 16:00 and a fair number of players left. Those of us who stayed set off to play domination/capture the flag in the woods. Our flag was at the border end of the woods, while the blue team's was at the wobbly bridge. The twist in the game was that both sides started in the middle. At a count of three, we had to start moving towards our flag and, after a time known only to him, the site owner would start the game. Everyone had two lives. A group of us decided to run back to defend our flag while other team members moved back more slowly so that they would be further forward when the game started. Having taken up a defensive position, I spotted a blue player sneaking around our right flank; he had either skilfully worked his way around our forward players or had hit a few of them and pushed through. Either way, he had done really well. I shot him; he looked disappointed as he turned to trudge back to regen. As no other blue players appeared, most of us decided to move up and reinforce our colleagues; as we did so, we met increasing numbers of dead blue players heading back to the safe zone. Our arrival helped our colleagues to push forward and capture the blue flag. Hurrah! It was a typical AP day; the games were well designed, hit taking was excellent, play was good and the marshalling was unobtrusive but effective. I suspect that mrfoxhound would have enjoyed it. I cannot play next Sunday as we are in the studio working on songs for our first festival gig of the year and for the fifth album, so my next game will be at either Splatoon or Dragon's Lair the following weekend. 20. I just got back from... not Worthing for once. A couple of us decided to head to Southdown / Allsorts Airsoft today for a bit of a shoot and all in all it went pretty well. It's been literally years since I've visited, and I've only ever been once before so it was basically like playing at a new site. Thought I'd give myself a handicap and decided to use my Kar98k, which means I have 4x 10rd magazines, though I couldn't go with no camo because my OD trousers have a massive tear along the crotch and it was just way too obvious / hard to hide, so I had my m81 trousers to go with my OD top. Anyway, first game was a three base domination, marked with flags. I took it slow to try and get a feel for how the gameplay would flow and I think I got a good idea pretty quickly. There was a very shallow trench with a bunch of ferns growing along the side, so I ducked into that and posted up around a tree with a pretty good line of sight on the area we were playing. There was a lot of reloading my mags in between action, so while the 40rds maximum was very low, I didn't get into any situations where I was out of ammo and needed to shoot as I managed to keep on top of my ammo management and got some lovely shots in the meantime. We then swapped sides and I posted up on one of the flanks to make sure they couldn't sneak around us. It was uneventful, but someone had to do it! Next game we had to find some small silver goblets that were scattered around the next gameplay area. We were at the top of a hill for this and it caught the wind something fierce. What made it worse was that the wind was blowing against us, so I was finding myself getting ranged by 1.1J AEGs even though my 2.3J Kar98k shoots really well; shooting against a strong breeze vs shooting with a strong breeze makes a hell of a difference. Managed to make it work, including some strong tilting of the rifle to try and counter some of the crosswind, but when we swapped sides it was a lot easier, though I did notice that my rifle was shooting a bit funny, so I sat the final game before lunch out to work out what was causing my rifle to shoot weird every so often. I think I've solved the mystery, and basically it boils down to my PPS Kar98k not liking my Tanaka Kar98k magazine. I think it's shooting a lot lighter than the PPS mags. Anyway, after lunch we played the same game as before lunch but swapped sides. We had to get a bomb into the castle structure and then hold it (we were defending in the game I sat out before lunch, now we were attacking). I actually swapped to my SRS after lunch as I was getting tired of reloading those 10rd magazines in game so much, and being effectively down to 3x 10rd magazines was a bit more of a faff than I wanted to deal with. 5x 30rd magazines was... substantially more pew pew and I was able to try more extreme shots. This game I didn't use too many BBs anyway, though the following game where we had to arm a bomb in the middle of a different area I got a lot of 70-80m shots, curving it with the wind to hit people and it was insanely satisfying. This kind of game is why I enjoy my long range stuff. The final game of the day was a survival game. Everyone was grouped onto one team with a few people on the other team with infinite respawns. The (initially) large defending team had to join the attacking team when they were hit, and with the attacking team starting with a bunch of my friends, I knew they'd have it in for me because they know I can hide well. I hunkered down in some ferns with eyes on the flank, draping my scrim net over my head, shoulders and part of my rifle, but as I saw one of my friends coming up that side there was ONE GODDAMN FERN IN THE WAY AND IT KEPT DEFLECTING MY SHOTS! He started shooting in my general direction, as he thought he saw me (he did), but I stayed perfectly still and he soon gave up on that and started shooting other people as he just assumed I was part of the bush when I didn't react to his shots whizzing past me. I decided to just give up and went to ground, holding my pistol just in case someone got up close to me and spotted me. As the defending team started to dwindle heavily, I heard some of my friends shouting at me with the "where are you hiding?" and "come on out!" lines. However, I stayed perfectly still in my spot, only shifting to look behind me when nobody was looking in my direction as that's where a bunch of my friends were who were looking for me. Fortunately, they didn't, and the game ended. There were about 3 of us left at the end who managed to stay hidden for the whole game. All in all, it was a really fun day of airsoft. It was nice that there weren't any real problematic egos on site; everyone was pretty chill and there weren't any of the typical milsim-taking-it-too-seriously players either. It was just a really pleasant, friendly vibe. Staff were friendly and marshalls were active in game, making sure that anyone doing anything against the rules, and I heard them tell some players off for going out of bounds, and others for trying to move an objective. Hit taking was also pretty good, with only one or two players being a bit bulletproof that I could see. It was also nice to go to a site where there were areas where my 2.3J rifle could do its best work as when I play at Worthing it is waaaaaaaaaay too overgrown there and it's hard to really take shots over that 30m MED outside of a few areas. I love my long range shooting, so it was a welcome change of pace being able to actually shoot long distance, as I missed Shift Your RIFT last weekend which would've been my long distance shooting fix.

    MWS pricing

I would say £850 is your ballpark. The return spring, hop bucking & nub along with the furniture will only add so much value as they're replacing rather than adding to the stock items. Especially with the stock and grip, if you had the originals, you could boost the value by at least £50 as they'd be listed as an addition instead of a swap. I'd say the sling and handstop (as you said it was cheap) would be where people may try to haggle on the price so I didn't factor them into my valuation.

Used but in good, fully working condition. From my research, I believe this LCT started life as an AIM Carbine NV. It has however gone through quite a face-lift. Comes with everything pictured including: - LCT AK RIF - 2 High-Capacity Magazines - Suppressor - Muzzle Brake - LCT TX-1 Rail Handguard - LCT TX-4 Side Mount Rail - Repro (I believe) Magpul ZHUKOV-S Folding Stock - Handgrip - Laser - Foregrip - Case (repurposed tool case) -(if wanted) - A brand new 7.4v LiPo Battery -(if wanted) - I can also throw in a brand new LCT PK-218 rear rail (pictured) for an additional £10. This fits where the rear sights would normally go and is standard picatinny/RIS so most red dots/sights will fit. I bought this from the forums a long time ago, intended as a gift for a friend. I don't know much about the work that's been done to it. All I do know is that it all works and functions exactly as it should, and has some cool extras with it. Whilst the house was being redecorated, this rifle (along with all my other RIFs, gear, etc) was boxed up and put in the loft for a year or so. I have since moved house 2 years ago and my collection still hasn't seen the light of day. It's gutting to see them all go but I'd rather someone else made good use of them and enjoyed them like I once did. Open to offers & negotiation. Can post at buyers expense. Please take a look at my other listings (more to come over the next few days) if you want any accessories, bundle deals, etc too.

The best option would be to take it to a reputable tech near you or find someone trust worthy (and who knows what they're doing) and let them have a run at it. Some, if not most, techs will let you post your gun to them if you don't want to travel. The ARP9 is a good gun, i'd suggest getting it fixed rather than selling it. If you bought it online using paypal G&S, you could try pushing for a refund from the seller as it's not functional and I assume it was advertised as working.

  44. its combination joules and weighing bbs, joules is the constant if the site limit for full auto aeg is 1.2 j and someone Chronos 1.2 j but the fps is 240 and they said the bb weight is 0.28 they lying cos a 0.28 at 1.2 j would chrono at 300/310 fps at 1.20 j , you would need to then weight to confirm , so technically they have passed chrono but have lied about the bb weight ,if there lying about bb weight what else are they being dishonest about?
