The Siege Project New Ownership
Galvatron and 2 others reacted to The Siege Project Official for a topic
Hello Everyone, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself as the new owner of The Siege Project. I officially took over in October 2024 and am now focused on taking the site forward with a fresh approach. My goal is to build a positive and welcoming community while ensuring The Siege Project continues to grow and provide the best experience for everyone involved. With this transition, I want to make it clear that The Siege Project has no affiliation with New Tech Airsoft LTD or its owner, Ian Duckworth (also known as SneakyDuck). Any posts, claims, or content suggesting a connection between our company and New Tech Airsoft LTD are false. We operate independently and have no association with their business, products, or services. Additionally, The Siege Project does not grant New Tech Airsoft LTD or Ian Duckworth permission to use, access, or distribute any data related to our members, customers, or affiliates. Any unauthorized use of our information by New Tech Airsoft LTD or its representatives is not endorsed or approved by us. Furthermore, we do not condone any comments previously made by Ian Duckworth. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have, and I look forward to meeting some of you at our site in the future! Thank you for your time and support. — Josh Frost Owner, The Siege Project Part of ITM Web Design And Events3 points -
Good luck with your new venture & welcome to afuk. I think I remember sneakyducks posts, he seemed to take constructive criticism badly lol. I hope you can appreciate that here free speech is embraced (within reason), & at the forums core are many experienced members, some of whom literally have more than 2 decades of playing experience under their belts, & will happily share their thoughts on the pros & cons of all aspects of sites & gamedays. if yours gets mentioned it's meant with the best intention to support or improve players experiences, which ultimately is what everyone wants. Thanks for posting. Mark🍻3 points

My Ali Exp addiction is continuing Been running an IdoGear belt for a while, and it’s actually pretty good The only drawback is the inner belt gives the “rigid” support and the weight bearing part is flexible until it’s Velcro’d on. Also the inner belt is the hook velcro component, that likes to chew on car upholstery or a hoody when wearing it without the outer fitted. So I ordered one of these clone Ferro Concepts Bison belts last week with some bits for it and it’s arrived. The inner belt is “loop” Velcro, which means I should experience less grabbing things when I’m not wearing the outer The outer is nicely rigid thanks to the faux Tigris material Buckles appear to be real nice clones of the original Cobra. All in, I’m happy for something that’s cost about £100 to put together Items fitted L>R Small carabiner for gloves Clone Agilite 9mm mag pouch (currently has a Leatherman in it, I’ll get another if a TM mag fits) Idogear mini dump pouch Taktical Reflex IFAK Tko grenade pouch (for reusable bang) Mid ride QLS mount3 points -

I try not to judge a man/woman/otherwise by immutable characteristics like their age, race, culture, lack of socio-economic status, skin pigmentation, physical/mental divergence, their (age appropriate) bedfellow(s) or their god(s). But turning up to a site with those is a choice, and you chose poorly....... Same with 2-toning something rare, dont care if you day-glo a common gat we all gotta work around the rules but you show up with a lime green ppsh and it's not a bit, well, that's a choice........2 points -

Maybe you should go back and read what he wrote; as described, the incident had nothing to do with trigger discipline. He was tracking players running across and the slow moving player was hit as he was ambling along the path, making no attempt to get out of the way. I am not sure how you manage to link trigger discipline to using an optic; that makes no sense whatever.2 points -

Another P90 user is always welcome. Which make did you get? The Perun P90 Mosfet completely transforms the performance and is pretty straightforward to install. You are a mere youngster!1 point -

Bolle just updated the X1000s so bought a new set of these to see whats changed, also managed to get the prescription insert which will make them even better :).1 point -
This is a good point. In 25 years playing I've seen bbs get in nonsealed or I'll fitted eye protection around 10 times at a game . 2 of those incidents leaded to lasting reduced vision which did improve with time. And I've only read about one other well documented case, although there has to be more. The worst ones are usually when there is a direct line to the eye like over the top of glasses when going prone.1 point

Nearly fell off my chair when I saw the price 🤣🤣1 point -
I unboxed mine but have yet to put any bb’s thought it as do not have a battery. A quick googly search had a few sites selling them, they aren’t cheap!! However one site had them in ‘sale’ so purchased 2, a mag holder and a few other items. I hadn’t had a receipt as such via email on checkout so I was a little concerned and googlyed the company to find it doesn’t have a great reputation on here 🤣. Anyhow I dropped them a polite email and they replied very quickly apologising for the lack of email receipt and informed me the items were being shipped out. The timeframe is not huge so I’m not concerned as yet. is it the one that looks like a ‘cross your heart bra’ (Doubt your old enough to remember those adverts 🤣🤣) with a dangly piece in the centre Crude description but it’s the best I could come up with 🤪1 point

Sell loadout or separately
Cannonfodder reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
You would probably get quicker sales, and ultimately make more if you were to list separately, or as a minimum bundle similar items (e.g. your M4 mags) into smaller bundles to sell. Very few potential customers are going to want everything in your complete bundle, so in order to make the purchase worthwhile to them, they would be looking to sell the unwanted items on at a profit. All of that adds up to less money for you if you don't separate it out.1 point -

Use the incident as an excuse to buy more optic related equipment. It would never have happened with an elaborate piggy back red dot set up.1 point

Nah, personally I'm not convinced to be honest. Situations like this are inevitable - getting hit on the way back to respawn is frequently par for the course. Anyone who mouths off to other players when the inevitable thing happens are bringing bad attitude and aggression into game - there is no place for this type of behaviour. The shooting was an accident - we can debate all the factors as to why it happened or shouldn't have happened, but ultimately it wasn't a deliberate act. The unacceptable reaction from the player that got (over) shot was a deliberate act.1 point -

I am we are unpaid, have full time jobs and do this for the love of it some ads will get by us but we will ask the seller to obey the rules we set out , just scanning the ads i don't see that many, maybe 2, don't over exaggerate we do this to try and help the buyer, it cant be a bad thing to try and help, so in future just whack your name & date on a bit of paper please if i see an advert with no paper, i delete it1 point -

I'll just leave this here for the next time it's advertised. so I can simply copy & paste. & I thought I was being constructive with my feedback. Ok, lets try another direction... Your cases are crap & apparently no one wants them, you're trying to sell boneyard rif's for too much (based on them not selling multiple times), by all means set the asking price at whatever you think is reasonable but don't be surprised if they're still in your bedroom this time next year.1 point -

Supply & demand, simple economics. I reckon sellers can ask any price they want, it's up to the buyer if they're willing to pay the asking price or for both/all of them to haggle.1 point -
