Rifs are banned from being sold on the UK Ebay site4 points -

As has been said, rifs are banned on eBay, I've seen numerous attempts by people to sneak them on, pics of gun bags with cryptic hints at the contents & various other dodgy descriptions obviously meant to confuse who or whatever checks listing's, I've yet to see a listing make it to the end of auction or obvious sale, they always disappear in their entirety. Gotta wonder, why go to all that trouble when there's a few forums, as well as numerous selling sites that will accommodate all manner of rifs.2 points

Fogging and glasses
Ian Bru reacted to Dogsbody100 for a topic
In what seems to be a right of passage in the airsoft world, I have grown to hate with a passion the spectre of fogging. Being a little unfit, quite fat and therefore prone to producing vast quantities of heat and moisture, it has driven me to try and find my own solution much as I imagine many others have too. My somewhat unique difference is that I wear glasses as in ESS ICE ballistic glasses and not goggles as many others do, this has meant that all the solutions that I've seen are tailored to those and not glasses. I also don't run a helmet of any kind just a DPM bucket hat so I found myself even farther from convention. Many things got an audition, from the 50p antifog wipes in the shop at AP (not terrible but very short lasting) to buying a battery powered fish tank pump and some tubing (chinesium crap and failed badly). Now, many will no doubt recognise Novritsch as a marmite figure but I noticed he had the catchily named 'anti fog unit' available, this seemed to offfer an attachment that was usually placed on goggles and magnetically snapped into the tube allowing the hat to come off but the eye pro stays on. It was at that moment I had a bit of an A-TEAM moment, if this piece could be bonded in the right place maybe it could be adapted for glasses? The pictures below will hopefully demonstrate where I went with this, the velcro is simply stapled and double sided taped into place while the adapter got bonded onto the glasses with a smidge of 2 part 3M Scotchweld that definitely didn't come from work at all. Ever. The upshot is that as I place the hat on my head the tubes and the adaptor 'finds' the one on the glasses and very satisfyingly snaps into them. It looked and felt ok but did it work? Yes, surprisingly, my recent visit to Apocalypse with their marathons games was a good test and the battery lasted all day even though the indicator light showed red it kept going. Even if it didn't I could have used a power bank to top it up. Just a little bit of hopefully useful info for you all if you use glasses like me. Cheers!1 point -
Cheers Tommikka, Think the batteries are built in on the RunCam Scope Cam 2 4K, In theory, looking them, they should be OK for 2 games on a half day, with a quick top up during the break, found some 10000mah at 220g on offer at £10. I've got 7x batteries between our 2x action cams (more budget friendly than GoPro, but footage is good), so no problems there.1 point

To keep cameras running for a longer day, I’d personally go for spare batteries rather than power banks. With a power bank you to expand a cameras battery life you’re adding some weight and a cable to get tangled, or the alternative option is to keep plugging into a power bank to top up the battery charge Far easier and more convenient to swap batteries to be fully charged again. ………… I do however have a few power banks and solar panels as I have an iPhone and am always connected doing something. Power banks are flexible in that sense, so if it was more days such as a weekend in the woods then power banks plus solar panels allow topping up / recharging along the way Nowadays my main camping session is whilst on a trade pitch with mains hookup to the van, so power packs only get used during the day for pocket access to power - and spare in case the power goes down ….. My power pack purchases have always been based on £ vs mwh at a convenient size, and my solar panels on discounted prices1 point

Screeching motor....tm
Mr Dellski reacted to gavinkempsell for a topic
Sounds like the motor isn't engaging the gears, I'd check to see if the shaft is free spinning, easy to check too... remove the motor and check the cog/gear (whatever the correct name is) is securely attached to the motor shaft.1 point -

Replacing the piston head O ring would be a good idea if the new one does not come with one.1 point -

-
O rings are built into the nozzle. You can get single or double o rings but single work just as good. You will need to measure the length of the nozzle to get the right one.1 point
-
I mention MR since I do all my testing on them and the hop window on the XT inner barrel is enlarged for the larger patch of the MR. It really doesn't matter too much, both will work.1 point
-
Yeah I think it would be good to check if that nozzle has an o ring. Plus you can check the rest of the compression side of things. V2 boxes aren't that scary.👍1 point

https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/electric-powered/krytac-warsport-gpr-cc-assault-rifle_i62502 Sorry, that replica PEQ box won't keep a two-tone Krytac at 75% of its retail price, nor will the RDS do much either. Someone watched too many YouTube videos before getting a UKARA defence sorted out, didn't they?1 point
-
Ok so it works pretty good that's a start. How about that air nozzle. It looks like an old plastic one and some of the plastic air nozzles didn't have an o ring. Could be loosing some pressure there. I'm guessing you have checked the hop up bucking for holes?1 point
-
@Yashy you need to make sure it is a 363mm defaintely that you need. I can't tell you this for sure, I'm only going on the link you provided above. So before you order it's work taking the inner barrel out and just measuring it to be sure. You have to take it apart anyway so worth doing now.1 point
-
That SA AEG uses a 363mm inner barrel which I don't have any left in stock, maybe a few arriving on Monday. Factory is currently working on the 6.03mm samples right now so they're kinda pushed.1 point

Novritsch Aug
Cannonfodder reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
I hope not - otherwise i've been doing it wrong these past few years - i thought the trick was to fire a few shots in semi at the end of every game to ensure the spring was not under tension....1 point -
Another vote for XT barrels (6.02mm by default) and Maple Leaf hop rubbers and nubs (60 degree, yellow). Outdoors, I run 0.28g, or 0.32g, depending on what's in the bag. Replacing the barrel, bucking and nub on an M4 is a quick, simple job, I'd never pay anyone to do it. For one thing, if they put it in wrong (it's possible to get them slightly skewed), you'll have to re-do it yourself anyway. YouTube is replete with how-to guides.1 point

Hey I'm wanting to go for these options for an upgrade.
Hudson reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
If you're playing a mixture of cqb and outdoors then I'd leave the spring alone as higher fps doesn't automatically equal more range. I'd change the hop rubber for a Maple Leaf macroon and, if you're not already, use heavier ammo. 100% this. Getting as close as possible to the site limits puts you at risk of being over on the site chrono1 point -
How "low" energy are your BBs firing that you think chasing the site limit will make you shoot better? Is your chrono test different from the last time you asked about "more fps" without being able to qualify how it would benefit you? Energy/FPS limits are just that, not a target. Like Adolf Hamster said, unless you're comically low, skill and experience will do you more good than getting a hard-on for more FPS and doing arbitrary "upgrades" in that pursuit. It's actually beneficial to have a little buffer below the site limit because you may chase that limit only to find you have 2 out of 5 shots (for argument's sake) going above it during chrono testing, in which case a decent marshal will either not allow you to play at all with that gun or ask you to modify it to shoot lower an retest it. The Maple Leaf bucking is a good choice. I did have to trim it to fit my pew as it would have otherwise prevented BBs feeding from mid-cap magazines in my case. I use the 6.02mm XT barrel myself and the accuracy past 30m is much better now.1 point

Rogerborg reacted to Colin Allen for a topic
Either of the barrels would be an upgrade; the 6.02 is probably the best option. The yellow Macaron or MR Hop with AK2M4's red nub would be good options: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/hop-up-buckings-nubs1 point -

Rogerborg reacted to Colin Allen for a topic
I would ditch the ZCI barrel and go for an XT one from @ak2m4; they are much better quality. I don't know much about the Friction Pro, so I am not sure how it compares with the Maple Leaf range.1 point -

VFC 416 GBBR
Rollade reacted to PhantomNate for an advert
This advert is COMPLETED!
- For sale
- Used
VFC 416GBBR TNT hop chamber and barrel upgrade with adjustable npas, shoots like a frickin laser beam, brand new bolt carrier group, only selling as I’ve got a VFC MCMR on the way. It has one issue with the bolt lock not working, still shoots and cycles perfectly but doesn’t lock on empty, this is due to a missing spring I dropped in the field 🤦🏻♂️ the new spring is however on the way from Taiwan so will post to buyer if it sells prior, or this issue will be fixed if it arrives before sale. It does only include the one mag as I need the rest of em for my new GBBR, I can sell extras at full price(they’re all brand new) as I’d just have to replace em anyway. Comes with the grip but not the PEQ or red dot. Located Edinburgh and willing to drive up to 50 miles for fuel, or can post at buyers expense. £330£330

Two lies in the advert - "rare now", "300 fps". Should there be some sort of sanction for trying to rip off buyers?1 point -
There was a guy asking yesterday if there was a welrod pistol available, so i posted a pic of it. I mean, other than 3d printing or that japanese guy that hand makes stuff for a small mortgage, theres nothing out there. It felt a bit mean cutting off the trigger guard... 🪚1 point
