It was dry this weekend so the rattle cans came out!

I marshalled at two sites over a few years; it nearly put me off airsoft so I went back to playing.

Hi, been playing around a year now after a 12 year break! unfortunately due to a health condition I can’t play as much as I like but I get out when I can! My favourite site too play is Ambush airsoft in Cobham and second is gunman airsoft’s camp bravo…. I'm here too learn, socialise and occasionally buy/ sell gear…. I have a few different Rifs at the moment but I’m trying to find “the one” main gun atm! It’s proving to be an elusive search! 😂 all the best, Matt

'Cyber Ninja' loadout complete and tested 😁. It got a bit warm, but folks seemed to enjoy it. I'm glad to report the extra Heroshark eye pro wasn't needed as the mask held up to some intense CQB action. I'm still not gambling, but it was surprising it didn't shatter.

Finally got inspired to remove the magazine cover from my Secutor Velites GII M870. Turns out it was really easy and just needed a squeeze to unhook - not the strip-down I imagined. This has allowed me to repurpose an electric drum magazine I had on an old springer. It's a stocky little thing now but should get a lot more use, as I won't need to reload every 5 shots. 😁

On my quest to have a British icon on my hip, I have purchased a welrod 3d printed kit for my surplus to requirements AAP01 from @VonGrimm. Have to say, it's bloody well made and some thought has gone into it. Needed a little adapter and a bit of a tweak (bolt release) and I'm 80% there. Just need to make the trigger housing disappear and make the trigger look like a water pistol now...😁 (Mag base is a lesson in "what colour filament do I have in the printer" for me! Lol. 🤣)

To those saying I should get my ankle checked, I am. Going to a&e. Will let you know where they amputate. I'm expecting just below the chin.

I've done it a few times and run some themed days. Marshalls deserve a bloody medal ! As a group airsofters have the attention span and memory retention of an average 1 year old , and organising them is like hearding cats. Playing is much more fun

My beloved long time airsoft site must have been well impressed by that sick flank I did (by accident cos I got lost) on Sunday, because they pulled me over and asked if I would be interested in becoming a marshal. I was incredibly flattered. I am seriously considering taking them up on the offer, but I'm nervous that any initial keenness on my part will wane, and I'll end up letting them down by not being available more and more until I disappear for good (out of laziness or whatever). Putting that to one side, however, I'd love to hear the forum's take on what makes a good marshal. I don't think the topic of marshalling as a concept in it's own right comes up very often. Any tips, advice, pleasant tales or horror stories, let me have them. Is it spelt with one "L" or two?

Yeah, i had a phone call yesterday to ask for my email address to send a RIF declaration form. Filled it out and photographed the form (as I don't have a scanner) and sent it back to the address it was sent from. As I had also ordered a stock, set of mags and box mag end plate along with the CO2 box mag, I clarified that the parts were to repair and upgrade the RIF in my possession. (I have a mag that seem to be temperamental with feeding, the end plate on my green gas box mag has split and I want to swap the stock for the para one) Sent with an email saying "I hope this meets your requirements and I hope to recieve the parcel promptly" (rough translation "I have jumped through your hoop, now give me my stuff") Got an email back earlier this afternoon asking "so this will be repaired in the UK then sent back to the shipper, correct?" Just replied with a blunt "NO, it will be repaired and used for airsoft in the UK. I am a registered UKARA player" then gave them my UKARA number. I'm honestly considering driving to Castle Donnington to demand the parcel in person if this kind of smooth brain behaviour continues

I've been building a Lone Survivor style RRV and it's currently nestled in an Eagle 152/MBITR pouch. Old school for the win!

I've commented on hearing protection threads before, so I'm sure it'll be no surprise that I'll say save your money for something good. Don't waste your time and money on sub £100 options. Every time this type of things comes up, people say stuff like, "my earmors are great", then 6 games later the same people are looking for new options cause their earmors failed, they seem to be little better than rebranded z tactical ones. There will then be the people that are like, "well I've had mine for 15 games" and that's great, but they're the exception, not the rule. I'd also suggest that they have been used in 15 good weather games etc. Howard leights are good for shooting and robust, but not good enough with their directional sound for them to not be a massive impediment in an Airsoft game. If you're concerned about your hearing (and if you attend any sites that allow tags you should be) then the cheaper in ear surefire plugs are the way until you have a bigger budget. I went for sordins and even then, after the sweat, discomfort etc they still aren't regular use items for me.

Yep, fire can cause smoke to block one's vision, firing an unmoderated rifle 10 feet from a horse rider for example also clearly would be a serious matter too. Shotgun beside a motorway would be unnoticeable, but I wouldn't like to be in the dock arguing it these days.

Went out to RIFT the battery yesterday, and had another awesome day, despite the heat and humidity, so I was grateful for the short games with breaks in between. As I had finally got the spare mags that were on back order arrive a few weeks ago, I decided to run my Krytac Kriss Vector as my main weapon, with my TM Lycoris Recoil as a sidearm, with my KWA Beretta 93r coming out briefly for a game too. Got to site and got set up pretty quickly so I could have a go at setting the hop on the vector before chrono opened. Initially I started on red team, but got moved over to blue team in the afternoon along with a few others to rebalanced the teams after a few people dropped out, presumably due to the heat. Hit taking was excellent from what I saw, and there was plenty of good sportsmanship from both sides in calling trades and fist bumping or congratulating players for good shots etc. Ran into a couple of snags with my equipment on the day which now need sorting.. The first was my smoke generator suppressor. I noticed that the muzzle flash was inconsistent and the smoke generator was no longer producing smoke, despite the fan triggering, so I think it's now officially dead, which is annoying as it looked amazing on my other guns loke the VFC M249... so it was retired and I salvaged the Acetech Brighter-C tracer unit I had fitted into it to give it tracer function so that I could continue using tracer bbs (desperately needed in the dimly lit areas) And finally, I had a red dot I borrowed from another gun to put on the vector shot out, leaving me unable to see much through the broken glass. As I didn't have an allen key on me to remove it, I was forced to guestimate my shots from the tracers for most of a game before I was able to remove it during a break in the safe zone and resorting to iron sights for the rest of the day... so now I need a new red dot. All in all, it was a great day, and i hope to get to this site many more times before it gets redeveloped in a couple of years time.

Resurrecting an old thread here. I picked up a P-10C today. Feels great in the hand and is very comfortable thanks to the additional back straps. I haven't had a chance to test it properly but it's very snappy when dry firing. I messaged ASG about future green gas mags. They said to expect them eventually but not anytime soon.

Ah, welcome to "dad tech"-ing. Its a proud moment when the little snot monster you raised, runs head on into a hail of plastic in the daftness we call airsoft. I've mentioned on your other thread about the m4 mag doodad. P90's are great little pews and can, if played with correctly, show up a lot of the big heavy lumps that I/we carry around. Ours was a boneyard and was shot to hell n back. However now, it absolutely screams plastic death. If thats a thing. If not, i just invented it. And want it on a patch. EDIT: and the only daft queston is one you dont ask.
