  1. For me, saying it's "only" been used once or twice for before will always be measured against my friend I skirmished with 20 years ago - he could have described his M4 as only having been skirmished twice, which was technically true but he broke the stock the second time he fielded it.

  3. Welcome to the Forum. You joined and put up a sales post without introducing yourself first. You have also not included a piece of paper with your username and the date in the photos. Maybe also give a bit more information about the pistol. How much has it been used? Are there any issues? Any modifications? How much is postage? How do you take payment? As it is, why would we give you money?

    Crusty little M14 SOCOM

My buddy bought this with the intent of turning it into a DMR project but decided to give it to me after he impulse bought a springer rifle. After having it for a few minutes I can see why. To briefly sum it up: It works and is competent. Its probably stock internally and is totally usable as a full-auto only backup or for tinkering with on a future project if you're brave enough to tech an m14 (unlike me), however its a bit jank and crusty around the edges. It likes to stick after every shot when on semi however it has no issues working on full auto. Overall range is decent, I believe from where I was standing to the end of my garden was somewhere around 20m-25m away and I could the target at the end accurately enough with a nice and flat trajectory each time. It even hits a few of the trees beyond my end wall (don't tell the council that though) without any noticeable dip or lift when the hop-up is dialled in right My friend was told it was about 340fps but I can't verify that as I have no chrono to test at home. I'd say its a bit lower and closer to 300fps based on the scientific method of using my eyes and having a guess. The stock is plastic with a faux wood effect and it likes to try wiggle a few millimetres back, but it holds steady. The end cap around the barrel that overlaps the two parts of the stock down at the muzzle end has snapped off as shown in the pics and might be responsible for some of this stock shifting. There's a little piece behind the trigger that is missing but serves no purpose really other than to stop bits of debris getting in and around the gearbox inside. Don't throw it into a pile of sawdust and you'll probably be fine. The mock charging handle is sadly not very satisfying to use, is very crunchy and has a habit of getting jammed. It serves absolutely no purpose other than a fun novelty anyway as the rotary dial hop-up is accessed underneath in the front of the mag well. Wired to Tamiya. Comes with 1 high cap mag. Collection is welcome, happy to answer any questions, entertain offers and send videos of it working. I usually post between Wednesday - Friday each week.

  5. Not THE Clumsy Phillipe? They still talk of him in hushed tones in the bars of Aubagne.

    Made a stupid mistake!

I have always followed the manufacturers guidance and never the varied opinions of often uninformed airsofters. Quite a few lipo manufacturers recommend fully balance charging lipos straight after use. Charge to 4.2v per cell with no more than .2 variation between cells. Storage charge is for long term storage. Long term is generally more than 3 months between use. I have fully charged batteries that are still holding 4.18/4.19V per cell after 9 moths plus of storage. Remember it is cycles that degrade batteries, so lowering to storage charge after every use, is in effect complete a single storage and doing this regularly will reduce the effective life of the battery maybe by as much as half of its expected life. However I am just another uninformed airsofter in reality, and my opinion is not better than the next mans- so read what they manufacturer says- they probably know best

    Made a stupid mistake!

I never 'storage charge' any of my LiPo's not the airsoft ones or the ones for R/C . I just balance charge them after use and pop them in my storage box (ammo tin) Then top them off the night before I use them. I've had some of them for years and never had any issues doing it that way.

  14. Update: I 3d printed a barrel holder that has done the job beautiful. For reference if anybody else runs into the issue I used: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5961232 You just have to modify the lower half, it needs to be about 1” shorter.

  19. I did some testing with my primary gat for Sunday's game, gave me a chance to experiment with my slingster. I haven't got a proper spare sling attachment on stock end of the gun at the moment, but I threaded it through a built-in loop on my PTS stock, and had it sitting on the outside. And then I tried the 'proper' method, and damn, yes, the gun hangs much tighter to the body (especially when it's basically vertical), it's much easier to get it tucked under the left arm to completely free up the pistol hand too... I'll definitely train myself to stick to it now. (And I'll order a QD sling attachment for my stock)

    THE TM MWS thread

Is there any damage to the front of the nozzle? Sometimes the square bit at the front of the bolt bends upwards which causes jams. You can gently heat it and bend it back down if this has happened.
