  4. A good evening game at Driver wood last night - £15 for 4 hours of quite closely packed game play which i thought was very reasonable. We used one of the paintball fields, so more open terrain, small buildings and towers and artificial cover interspersed with trees. A good choice, as the dense packed undergrowth of the rest of the site would have led to boring and uneventful game play, as well as a significant amount of blue on blue. Aside for one particular game where flashing pucks needed to be collected from around the field by our team - and where the opposing team hadn't heard the Marshalls whistle to start the game (!) culminating in them leaving their spawn 5 minutes in, it went off smoothly. It was nice that there was some flood lighting dotted around the field, randomly changing colour every now and then to add spice. Still plenty of dark corners to hide in, but it was just enough so that players weren't forced into the tedious dilemma of using a torch to try to spot the enemy whilst simultaneously giving away your position. At least, not all of the time. The games were chosen to work well on the field, and meant that it was generally fairly predictable which rough areas of the field the friendlies and the enemy were in, reducing the annoyance of constant blue on blue. Reaffirmed my view that tracer units - whilst undeniably fun - have more negatives than positives in the dark, literally highlighting your location to all around. A decently dialled in red dot did me proud last night, atop my L119a1ish. Oh, and, following on from the (rather accurate) posts earlier in this thread about the green team always winning - nice to see the Orange team winning each game last night!

Can't beat a classic; will probably run this combo this weekend, especially since one of my m14s needs converting to deans connectors before I can use it. I've found myself moving away from gucci rifle wraps and adopting a more realistic approach to camo. Elastic bands for natural veg on the day and making sure nothing interferes with the operating parts of the weapon (my expensive wrap has a tendency to obscure the scope picture, leading to me having to manually move parts out of the way). I could paint it, but I don't want to because I love how it looks and don't want to potentially ruin the aesthetic of the mk12. Literally some donor scrim net I got for free held on by cable ties and elastic bands that I will pair with either a £25 uncrafted cobra hood, or my £60 ghillie cape. Don't need to spend out masses to be a bush!

Been working on this. Still a work in progress. It's a close representation of the actual minimi's used by the ill fated "Bravo two zero" (as pictured) It's a basic Mk1 minimi, but was fitted with a gpmg flash hider. Mine started as a TOP M249, but has external upgrades, Replica flash hider Guarder steel gas block Guarder steel centre block Guarder steel cocking lever Guarder steel body parts. G&P steel bipod ANGS top cover, This is being worked on to actually have a working round indicator. Genuine rear sight Genuine box mag (period correct) Genuine stock (not fitted yet)

  10. Here’s hoping. The vented can and mini fan on the commutator should work nicely seeing as the Eagle has that vented motor plate for airflow. And if it doesn’t I’ll have a nice hand warmer for winter skirmishes.

  11. Few upgrades from AK2M4, delivered next day as promised. Perun and XT 22TPA for the boy's G36. Another XT 22TPA, plus a ZCI hop unit and ML bucking for my Double Eagle. . Had a few mins spare tonight, so out with the old motor from the Double Eagle... ...and in with the new Not a night and day difference over the stock motor, I stupidly didn't do a direct before and after comparison but the trigger response is a bit quicker. Suspect they are both in the same ballpark windings wise. Magnets on the stock motor are no match for the new XT though. Expect it will prove itself when I run it on 3S instead of my current 2S.

The netting doesn't show; it's like when you put a killflash on a scope. And yes, I don't want to paint it since the MWS is really nicely done and cerakoted, so I don't want to ruin anything there!

  19. In my experience all the airsofters I've met loved dogs and when I take my labrador into the safe zone everyone wants to stroke him, so I don't think anyone would hurt the dog deliberately. But in my experience many airsofers have little idea of gun safety and anyway in game all bets are off as it's spray and pray in any case, there's a high chance of the dog getting hit accidentally. Even assuming the dog is wearing actual dog eyepro as opposed to ill fitting human ones, there's still the chance of the dog's highly sensitive nose getting hit. It's not cruel per se to do this but it is neglect and frankly the marshall should have more common sense, not to say empathy. As to the horse riders, that is very stupid indeed. The thing is that, as we are a much richer society than ever, while at the same time having a predominantly urban/suburban mentality, there are more clueless people with horses than ever, hence also their not apparently understanding the basic rural concept of rights of way. Anyhoo I'm tempted to say that's likely to get sorted out via a Darwin Award situation as equestrianism is a super risky activity at the best of times, add in the aforementioned loud bangs and... Well Dobbin doesn't like sudden, noisy surprises and doesn't react well.

  24. Two elderly southern widows are sitting on one of their porches talking about how good their husbands had been to them. The first woman says, “On my first wedding anniversary, my husband bought me a gold ring.” The second woman says (with a southern drawl), “That’s niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.” The first woman says, “On my tenth wedding anniversary, my husband bought me a diamond necklace.” The second woman says, “That’s niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.” The first woman says, “And on my twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, my husband bought me a trip around the world.” The second woman says, “That’s niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.” The first woman says, “And what did your husband ever buy for you?” The second woman says, “Well, on my first wedding anniversary, my husband bought me lessons at a school of etiquette.” The first woman says, “Lessons at a school of etiquette? Well, why in the world would he buy you something like that?” The second woman says, “So I’d learn how to say that’s nice instead of who the fuck cares.”

  25. Had an amazing day at Red Alert last weekend. Great marshalling team and a really well put-together site. Everytime I’ve played RA there’s been a good atmosphere and a distinct lack of poor sportsmanship, very happy to say this was the case for this game too. Got snapped a few times as we were attacking the “embassy”. Cheeky sidearm kills are always 10x more satisfying than primary kills Ran a HPA tapped WA Salient Arms AR and WE MP5k for the day, made a lot of noise and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Work in progress, BRT CAR15-SD 300 blk replica. This gun encompasses all the best bits of various guns imo; Its a sub-gun / PDW - my fave size. MP5SD vibes - just love MP5s. Retractable stock - again MP5. AR controls - ergonomics. 20rd mags - easy to shoot when prone. 300 subsonics - cool as F in real steel.

  28. Well I had a blast at Players of War near Falkirk, it's my local site & I'm finally getting used to the layout, not a huge turnout but more than enough to be a good day, My L85 Carbine performed well. (last time the motor screw unscrewed mid game(locktite FTW)) but I deffo felt the extra weight. My Polymer Scar-L was as reliable as ever. Took my P90 too as I've finally got enough mags to field it properly but it stayed in my gun bag all day (truth be known it's only been re-racked in the past hour or so). Tried a rotation of mid caps in one game, then hi caps in the next & pretty sure I prefer the hi caps, not so much spray & pray as in earlier game days but certainly used plenty of BB's. I'm a big unfit chap so usually prefer to creap forward until I'm in range of actually hitting some 'enemy' but noticed a lot more forward progress in my last attacking game... (must try harder in future). I have noticed I seem to lose my motivation in the 4th game in the past few game days so I'm going to focus on staying hydrated & getting shot less as the walk to & from the spawn point is doing my head in.

    NAF ‘23

You didn't post that though did you, all your post stated was that several times you were shot in the face. As usual you're changing what your complaining about when pulled up on it. Also the NAF is renowned for shitty play so expecting anything else is naive at best
