  1. A good place to start is by popping into the shop at Trojan Airsoft in stockport. The guys there are pretty knowledgable and they have a great selection of every style of gun across all ranges on the wall. Alternatively jump over the pennines to Patrol Base, in Huddersfield. The best way to make any gun more effective is to make yourself more effective, the best way to get better is to put boots on the ground and play more and play better. It is that simple. Tighter barrels, stronger motors, cnc gears, mosfets, short stroking, 349fps and high voltage batteries ect , won't make you any better on the field. The only exception being good quality, weighty BBs.
  2. "The north" is a fairly large area you may want to narrow it down a bit.
  3. It's not cod that makes someone an idiot.
  4. Not really a troll at all, he has asked for upgrades that are non specific. Switching from .2 to .25 will improve the accuracy and stability of the bb And as a byproduct may increase range. Changing the standard nimh to a decent 7.4v lipo will increase trigger response rof and decrease weight. And unless your gun is made of cheese won't cause any significant undue wear. Two very simple, non specific things to do to improve your guns performance. Hardly trolling.
  5. Nimh > lipo .20 > .25+
  6. I was in a rush one afternoon and needed a torch for an indoor game in the pich black so popped into Wilkos to get one of those cheap rubber £3 jobbies. While there I found this: http://www.wilko.com/bike-parts+accessories/wilko-bike-light-front-cree-led-high-intensity-black/invt/0342373 The torch is metal with a three mode click (and momentary) switch base cap, bright, less bright and strobe, takes x3AAA batteries. Its amazingly bright! in comparison to my Surefire clone its a much better light source, a bit bigger and batteries don't last as long but are cheaper to replace. In all honesty for the price, the availability on the highstreet and its output this is the only airsoft torch I would buy again, it really is that good. I cable tied it onto my rail the first time, some players tape them on, now I have it mounted to one of these on my shotty.
  7. Or you could learn to aim and only fire what you know is going to hit and not just spam full auto.
  8. I'm sorry, but this is absolutely ridiculous.
  9. I think you need to get over it. People come to play they way they want, not the way you want them to.
  10. "Will trade for mint tm recoil or sell for £460."
  11. EFA, it's a massive improvement to a normal v2, but still needs the gearbox and motor to be completely removed from the receiver.
  12. Isnt that also a tri shot with an eotech and a 5.56 magwell?
  13. I'm not sure if I mentioned it but http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/airsoft-innovations-oil-pump-kit-silicone-oil-tornado-oil-magazine-416-226-17-/201149129454?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2ed56c22ee is a really good deal!
  14. 1) Negligible 2) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/airsoft-innovations-oil-pump-kit-silicone-oil-tornado-oil-magazine-416-226-17-/201149129454?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2ed56c22ee 3) So long as it is straight up Propane, some are trying MAPP but i'm not sure on the performance difference. 4) Things will break regardless of what gas you use. if you shoot it half as much it will last twice as long! 5) Yes, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/airsoft-innovations-oil-pump-kit-silicone-oil-tornado-oil-magazine-416-226-17-/201149129454?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2ed56c22ee

they only do the standard mag pouches though don't they? I cant see the new elastic or fast mags, the GHK don't work with the standard pouches and because they are plastic lined don't stretch out.

    3. Mack

      Mack

Flyye are clones of EI stuff yeah.

    4. Spatch

Not sure where you got your info from but warrior normal open top M4 pouches do work with ghk mags, I know as I used to run them myself dude

  16. Yes they are very good. If you are in the market for a new hop up than this should be at the top of the shortlist. If your hop up isn't underperforming then there is almost no reason to upgrade a working hopup for a prowin. They are essentially mechanically the same, just tighter tolerance due to the cnc manufacture, although that is not exclusive to prowin, bulkier build to brace against the receiver which has negligible real world effect: And have the dial system which IME isn't as good as people jism about it, mine is very loose and has to be readjusted more frequently than any lever arms I have had. What i will say for it is that my old hp up was propper pants. FUBAR i believe is the correct term. A simple drop in Prowin for £23 and FPS shot up by 40fps with the same bucking, and trajectory and consistency was astounding. However the tight tolerances may cause a few issues, they my need a little fettling to fit into some receivers, I had to take a few passes over a rasp to fit it in my G&P receiver, which obviously removed the iconic blue. and be careful with very soft buckings, my maple leaf 65 tore trying to remove it, and forget trying to seal the rubber with ptfe tape, it simply wont fit in. but the machining seems to give a very good natural seal anyway. TLDR: I would certainly buy another one, but I wouldn't replace a working hop up with one.
  17. Using 5.56 is the entire reason the term DMRs exist, if your going to use a 7.62 accurately out past 400m you may as well just take a bolt action rifle. a soldiers 5.56 weapon will do everything else up and possibly past, that range. In close built up areas such as Iraq, a full length "long" rifle is rarely an efficient weapon. The mk12 replaces both the BAR and and gives a sniper ranged shots as well as the ability to clear building, suppress with full auto and generally operate as a forward infantry member without having to lug multiple guns.
  18. I am going to have to respectfully contradict almost everything Tacmaster has said. In the Airsoft world a DMR is entirely about the aesthetics of the gun, and it's real world emulation. Other than breaking 350fps there is no internal upgrade you can do to a DMR that cannot also be done to any other v2 based gun such as a 10inch mk18. A real world DMR is a semi auto rifle that has a minimum of an 18inch match grade barrel and a free floating rail. An m4 with a scope isn't a DMR, an M4 with a scope is a very usable gun for Airsoft, but it's not strictly a DMR. If you really do want to go down that route the US m4 derived DMR is the Mk12, google it and go from there. The mk12 uses the NATO 5.56 round. The SR25 uses a 7.62 round, and is not an M4 and the Russian SVD is also a DMR. Having spent a lot of money and time building a mk12 impression I can honestly say it's more of a hindrance to have a DMR than it is to just have a good aeg with a scope. It's heavy, it's long, it's temperamental, the loss of full auto for suppression isn't worth the extra few FPS and at the end of it all, it shoots just as accurately wether it has the 480mm barrel or a 250mm barrel. Just my 2c
  19. Bit harsh, yes it's a bummer for us, but at the end of the day it IS H&K's intellectual property so why shouldn't they want to control who should be profiting from it, the same as every other industry does. See Samsung vs apple for an example. Glock did the same to 'Murica years ago to the point they had to cut up the trades on the box externals for any that were imported.
  20. There are two types of airsofters .....
  21. He is the only person who can truly answer that question, will he have the stamina to hold and play over the course of the day? Even if he doesn't for the full game, there is always the safe zone he can go back to and chill for a bit. There should be no restrictions from an organiser point of view, so long as he is not wheel chair bound as obviously that could cause complications for woodland, (but not entirely excludatory) We have a few members with chronic muscular pains who may be in a better position to advise, but he should go for it, give it a game on a rental gun and see how he feels. It's his condition, so he should be the one that decides his own limitations not the organiser.
