  1. I have mechanix and some oakley assault gloves, both tend to stay in my kitbag at home. Gloves are nice when crawling through a brush, but just get in the way when shooting IMO. Yes finger hits are pains full, but it's not that bad, all things considered.
  2. There is a big medicalised push to improve shrapnel injury survival rates, plates have been great for torso injuries, developments with CATs Gucci bandages, quick clot, TXA ect for limbs as exanguating haemorrhages, but the biggest weakness are still the Neck and groin with the carotid and femoral arteries respectively.
  3. Although I'm not arguing the point that dressing up as the SS is a good idea, it's not. End of. Any millitary uniform has also been used to kill many people the world over. If we are going to take such a moral high ground to say SS is bad taste should we also stop wearing multi glam or dpm for fear of cultural sensitivities?
  4. Aside from my slightly facetious comment earlier, it's also worth noting that lighting someone up with full auto at pistol range is a pretty twatish thing to do. You wouldn't with an aeg so why with a pistol?. I have been on the other end and it's not fun. What is fun for me is bedroom training to drop my primary and get three quick, accurate shots off. Makes me feel all super l33t operator inside. I also have heard from a reliable tech that they have seen a few tm18s crack themselves to death with 50 round mags, especially in winter.
  5. Try tesco optician for lenses, very cheap tests and very competitive lense prices. I got three different sets of trial lenses for my £15 consultation fee. Toric lenses for astigmatism are a thing and are much much cheaper and better than they were 10 years ago.
  6. I'm still holding a safe level of cynicism, it all sounds a bit too good to be true. It's also interesting to note that most of the praise is coming out of polished and biased sources. It just stinks of a very successful marketing campaign IMO. Has anyone actually seen any in the flesh yet? The fact land warrior sold out so quick makes me think they didn't invest a huge amount into stocking any quantity of them.
  7. Can't you just send them back and get the right size? Or better yet get the TMC Crye copies from Ali express for £40
  8. Don't bother, if you can get it apart without breaking it, you sure as he'll won't get it back together without breaking it. It's a cheep gun enjoy it for what it is, regardless if colour.
  9. If it's just for plinking and not for airsoft, you could consider getting a co2 air pistol. Less hassle, no need for UKARA and powerful enough to plink with.
  10. Still a valid and recurrent topic though.
  11. http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-bbs/0-28g-bb-bastard-6mm-2000.htm#.VZQKf_lVhBc FTW
  12. Why not just put the shells in your pockets? Left for loaded, right for dead. I use this method for shotty and pistols in winter.
  13. It's a terrible gun for £5. The gas valves are just awful.
  14. It's alright, but its not £90 worth of alright. also the force recon looks a bit .... sh*t. bulky clumpy and sweaty. i wouldn't be spending my own cash on it, but its your cash if that's the style you are after. Consider the Warrior Ricas, much much better for a similar style. or if you want cheep, the ebay £40 unbranded jobbies will be the same quality and finish as the TMC for more than half the price. all of these are better value imho: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/26646-warrior-plate-carrier-od/ http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/26612-tactical-vest-3-mag-pouches-utility-pouch-knee-pads/ http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/26837-tmc-6094-in-multicam-extras/
  15. Pop over to Trojan in stockport, Ben and his posse are a good bunch and will give you all the info you need. They skirmish in the evening wednesday and thursday and all day on a sunday. They also have a woodland site.
  16. Its all just snake oil ....... Wanna buy some?
  17. if its anything like the TM, which it should be: remove slide, remove front slide rail and triger spring, pull hammer assembly out a little, enough to unhook the trigger bar that runs from trigger to hammer by rotating the hammer forward towards the muzzle ( be carefull of the small spring and loose bit of the hammer) and then it should all just pull out with the trigger bar attached to the trigger, the safety may need presing so it fits. The trigger bar can then be removed. its just a small pin. i seem to remember a you tube vid called La Zouch? [edit] https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLgX2Vln1T55u-45t4yFGwd14dxp1gBB4K
