  1. TaiwanGun's / P&J's guns are A&Ks rebranded, AFAIK. At least their other M4s definitely are. Dunno if that helps...? But there's gotta be a decent number of reviews on them (as opposed to searching for P4J) From what I know they're obviously not going to be the best but alright quality as to be expected. Can't comment on the construction, I know the receiver is metal - I'd imagine it's just weak though (the kind which is more likely to break than polymer on a G&G for example) Pretty sure I saw they will take MAG magazines and are generally gonna work well with most brands. This is cos I was interested in getting one [a P4J CQB thing, not the CASV] myself a while back. Really can't give you that much more help than that, sorry.
  2. There won't be a pouch specifically for the MB01, but what about these? http://uktactical.com/search.aspx?SearchTerm=338 Or some kind of sniper rifle magazine pouch in general. Looks like if the magazines were just a bit smaller they could fit in pistol mag pouches like most other sniper rifle ones, which is a shame cos you can get them much cheaper.
  3. Next gun will be a CYMA CM351 (870 Breacher) They're £40 and will be good for CQC, not needing to worry about batteries and that. Then an AKS74U, a CYMA CM.045(A) I think if money was no option I'd probably be getting a GHK GBB one though. Finally, an AR platform for a P* / SMP or Daytona Gun, in which case I'd need a G&P WOC. Oh and pistol would be a TM S&W M&P but I'm happy with my WE Glock atm.
  4. I had one of those Emerson Neoprene things, it got a bit deformed during shipping so it was sorta bent to one side and looked a bit sh*t. Wouldn't fit very well anyway from what I remember, damaged or not. To this day I've never found a comfortable, reliable / easy to wear piece of lower face pro and none of them have ever fit properly with goggles or glasses either. The ATV mask looks like it'd work though, I've been looking for something like that.
  5. Yes another copy of Crye Multicam, but it looks a bit shit IMO (probably the worst out of all Multicam clones) Not very close to the genuine pattern either from what I have seen, but to be fair maybe it is better in person.
  6. A motor in a real steel grip? I doubt that is possible. I'd imagine it would be mounted to the receiver differently (for example you would need to drill out a hole for the motor shaft to go through as well) and it won't be hollow or be able to mount a motor plate onto it. Most manufacturers (of airsoft replicas) make their grips slightly bigger than real ones to accommodate the motor, although that said I'm sure I've heard RS on the other hand have grips which are more accurate to real dimensions. Don't ask me how though.
  7. Not sure about the features on the WE (I was gonna get one myself but everyone recommends to get an IMAX B6) I'm assuming you're talking about the model which is about £15? It's is obviously quite a simple smart charger compared to others - but nonetheless, the main feature is that it should cut off once a battery is fully charged at the very least.
  8. G&P? or a PTS ERG is my first thought
  9. Me, being an idiot as a beginner and buying two kinda shitty guns (the M4 definitely)
  10. 'Stitch Me Up' on FB
  11. What pistol do you have? A hard moulded holster would be best but they are not available for every gun, and replicas like WEs are usually off compared to the real dimensions. Also, you are supposed to have magazines on your left (as a right handed shooter) rather than reaching across to reload. I personally don't see why you'd want magazines where your holster is.
  12. Hey, I'm looking to switch my guns to Deans and -in short- was wondering which are actually the best to buy? (EDIT: I SHOULD ADD THAT I'LL PROBABLY GET A TECH TO DO THIS FOR ME as if it isn't too expensive there's no point me buying a better soldering iron etc to do it myself and not to the same standard I guess the store will have their own already, but maybe not) I saw a pair, as in male and female piece, on AirsoftPeak (for $1.69) but then noticed eBay and Amazon sellers actually offer them at a better price. eBay: 10 Pairs (from HK) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Pairs-T-Plug-Male-and-Female-Connectors-For-Deans-RC-Car-Helicopter-/261970515464?hash=item3cfea8d608 10 Pairs + Heat Shrink (UK) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T-Plug-Deans-connectors-10-pairs-with-FREE-Heat-Shrink-/131553504737?hash=item1ea1332de1 Amazon: 10 Pairs - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pairs-Plated-Connectors-Female-Deans/dp/B009HK1OZO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438339397&sr=8-1&keywords=deans+connectors Noticed a review of the latter says they require 'tinning' I've not heard this term before when any airsofters have talked about using Deans. I was wondering if some of the connectors come 'pre-tinned' or something? Which would explain the higher price. Regardless of that, if anybody you could suggest a place to buy some from that would be great. Cheers, J
  13. TaiwanGun, no mags in stock but the gun is. Mags are restocked, gun sells out :\

Ah I've always wanted a vector! Very expensive though, maybe one day...

What M4 do you usually use?

  14. Good question, I can't say what the difference in terms of most of the internal parts and their durability - but I would expect similar performance from the HC to the rest of modern TM guns, as they will use the same hop unit / bucking.
  15. I'd start with cleaning the barrel, I think you should probably polish it too. Silicone is commonly used but I've heard rubbing alcohol is preferable, except I don't know how to go about cleaning a barrel with the latter. Similarly you could also clean the existing hop bucking / rubber, with warm and soapy water (no silicone oil!) I also know snipers wash their BBs the same way, I guess you could do the same for a DM and again, that should help a bit towards accuracy. You could upgrade the barrel (prioritise quality over length & diameter) although buying a replacement hop unit and/or hop bucking will probably improve performance the most and may be cheaper than a new barrel as well. Look for quality manufacturers like Prometheus, G&G (Specifically the Green) and Tokyo Marui for the bucking. In terms of the former, ProWin CNC hop-ups are great.
  16. Wouldn't recommend buying from any 'bb gun' retailers. Besides, 'Mystery Boxes' over here aren't worth it, the US retailers seem to do good ones whereas the few companies offering them in the UK had more expensive packages / lower value of contents / lower chance of getting a better prize if I remember correctly.
  17. Hmm I'd want to see this plate carrier deal, cos you can get a Warrior Assault Systems DCS in genuine Multicam for £110 - and £160 with 5 mag pouches and two general purpose / utility pouches. In fact...they had a sale on but I think it ended today! could have bought one with mag pouches for ~ £90 To me Bulldog MTC looks a lot more like Multicam than MTP, judging by this: http://www.ukmcpro.co.uk/Bulldog-Sky-Ops-Rucksack-42L-MTC-Bags/p/4/8/6582/ BUT on the other hand the PC I just looked at looks more like MTP I don't think the quality will be as good as the Warrior DCS as it doesn't use printed / jacquard (woven) Multicam webbing, instead it's like the MOLLE found on brands like Condor
  18. 350 fps is the velocity limit for guns at most places in the UK (unless bolt action or semi automatic only) It is definitely not weak at all but I'm gonna assume you want to use this for shooting stuff in the garden ('plinking') and not a skirmish? Airsoft guns cannot shoot paintball ammo, they are completely different calibres. Electric...uses battery obviously, powers motor which spins gears, spring pushes piston and air into cylinder to propel BB Gas...green gas / propane is put into magazine, hammer / striker is pressed, releases gas to fire BB basically Gas is not recommended for beginners as they generally need more maintenance They are also more expensive to run and extra magazines are £35+ each Plus the performance is affected a lot more by the temperature Hope this helps
  19. Got an interview for new job, but means working weekends :| and to make it worse new place I live no yard or anything to plink in :0 but still have an obsession with buying airsoft things that are gonna be even more useless

      Sitting Duck

fingers crossed for the interview sir - nowt wrong working odd hours. But I would say that as I am very very odd myself

  20. I don't like the foregrip / flashlight combos personally, would recommend something like an Element Surefire replica / Nextorch flashlight. Also if you don't know already Tactical Gear Trade is NOT a UK retailer, in fact based in HK. I would guess you can probably find one a bit cheaper on Ali Express but I don't know.
  21. Good mag pouches for 5.45 (AK74) mags? I like HSGI Tacos but don't want to pay so much (£100 w/ clips)

      AUGs just look funny.

I find them better in pretty much every way over a conventional mag pouch, just remember to cut of the excess cord. It's worth rooting some through the PALS for a bit more security too

Good shout M_P and yeah I'm definitely gonna get a CM045 over JG AUG A1 now :)

  22. At least we've got it easy compared to some countries, it's not even hard to get yourself registered and get a defence. we can say the VCR Act is stupid / doesn't work etc but doubt the gov would amend it anyway
  23. UK Tactical should still sell Propper BDUs in A-TACS FG (The genuine pattern not MFH copy?) And they do ACU cut as well Also Military 1st and Flecktarn.co.uk and The Grange might do it too, shouldn't be that hard to find
  24. Can you be any more specific? There are so many it would be good to narrow it down. Stock, Tokyo Marui will probably be the most accurate. G&G are good and their Combat Machine range of M4s can be bought for ~ £110+ Or you could buy something like a CYMA AK -with UKARA, get one off TaiwanGun- and possibly upgrade the hop unit / bucking & barrel (also general cleaning and maintenance does a lot for improving performance and consistency) In terms of power most guns should fire around 350 FPS, if you want something really powerful it could be too hot to meet the requirement for most sites. If a gun is under or over the velocity limit you could simply change the spring through which is pretty simple and can be done for next to nowt if you do it yourself.
  25. Heywood was good, first place I played but closed down years ago. Haven't been to it yet, but Alpha One is supposed to be a great site.
