  1. If I remember correctly the reviews I've seen have basically said the Ares is expensive for it is, especially considering Ares' notoriety for being unreliable and bad quality internally. On the other hand there are also TAR-21s by S&T, but they're very low quality and it will be bad externally as well (where at least the Ares construction should be much better given they are supposed to be good with externals) Finally the only other Tavors I can think exist are by Hephaestus, and also a 'Boys' model from Tokyo Marui. Can't say much else tbh, don't personally like the feel of the gun (seemed very wide?) so have not looked any further into them. Although that said I handled one years ago so can't say if I tried it again I'd still dislike it or not.
  2. The guy probably meant you can't go and buy any realistic looking gun, which you need to be over 18 and have a defence for. A non realistic looking airsoft gun (as in, a bright colour AKA two-tone) can be bought by anyone, but again you need to be over 18. Yes, you get a parent / guardian to buy one but you can basically borrow it off them and as far as I know you are actually then the owner.
  3. Yeah rules depend on individual sites, made one myself ages ago but never used it.
  4. Sounds like you want a CYMA. And yes TaiwanGun is good, order from there if you have a UKARA defence. Was looking at getting one myself (the CM045, an AKS-74U, was only about £80)
  5. Looks like PTS. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/magpul-pts-masada-acr-ris-gbb-dark-earth.html#.Ve09JRFVhBc

  7. Anyone know a good minimalist paracord bracelet guide? This looks very easy to make, can buy everything really cheap too. What's the knot called too? http://www.naimakka.com/neon-orange-slim-paracord-bracelet.html#.VeDd6_lVhBc

There's loads on YouTube mate. I made the same style bracelet but round my HPA remote line

  8. Would also recommend Nikko Stirling.
  9. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Outdoor-Hunting-activated-carbon-masks-dust-mask-Wind-mask-3-colors/32430049180.html Amongst other stuff not airsoft related, trying one of these things in the endless search for good face pro - if it works out then also buying another scrim scarf to go over it.
  10. I also have an SRC case, as well as a Swiss Arms double rifle bag. Both are great and would recommend both, although a case can be kind of unnecessary - and the latter you can probably pick up for a third of it's price.
  11. Regardless of brand (UTG / DE / EE and so on) you're getting the same gun, as Prof said. One exception (in terms of 'tri-shots') would be the new-ish CYMA ones which aren't the exact same design - yet still use the same shells. Tbf since they are simple guns without adjustable hop / same construction and so on there isn't a lot of stuff to know, at least I can't think of anything significant. Velocity is hard to measure because it's shooting three BBs at once, hence why you might find a lot of different FPS readings, plus the fact velocity will differ anyway on every gun.
  12. That's max, most stuff won't take that long...although admittedly it can be up to a month. I've ordered from Ali Express sellers 5-6 times and had things come in a week or two so it's not that bad.
  13. Why not? It's different to literally everyone who has either MTP or DPM. I think it looks okay sometimes. It's best when you're in shade / it has got dirty, then it is a lot more effective at concealment.
  14. Welcome to the forum mate Most guys on here seem to be from south so should be a fair few to help you out on local stuff
  15. TaiwanGun's / P&J's guns are A&Ks rebranded, AFAIK. At least their other M4s definitely are. Dunno if that helps...? But there's gotta be a decent number of reviews on them (as opposed to searching for P4J) From what I know they're obviously not going to be the best but alright quality as to be expected. Can't comment on the construction, I know the receiver is metal - I'd imagine it's just weak though (the kind which is more likely to break than polymer on a G&G for example) Pretty sure I saw they will take MAG magazines and are generally gonna work well with most brands. This is cos I was interested in getting one [a P4J CQB thing, not the CASV] myself a while back. Really can't give you that much more help than that, sorry.
  16. There won't be a pouch specifically for the MB01, but what about these? http://uktactical.com/search.aspx?SearchTerm=338 Or some kind of sniper rifle magazine pouch in general. Looks like if the magazines were just a bit smaller they could fit in pistol mag pouches like most other sniper rifle ones, which is a shame cos you can get them much cheaper.
  17. Next gun will be a CYMA CM351 (870 Breacher) They're £40 and will be good for CQC, not needing to worry about batteries and that. Then an AKS74U, a CYMA CM.045(A) I think if money was no option I'd probably be getting a GHK GBB one though. Finally, an AR platform for a P* / SMP or Daytona Gun, in which case I'd need a G&P WOC. Oh and pistol would be a TM S&W M&P but I'm happy with my WE Glock atm.
  18. I had one of those Emerson Neoprene things, it got a bit deformed during shipping so it was sorta bent to one side and looked a bit sh*t. Wouldn't fit very well anyway from what I remember, damaged or not. To this day I've never found a comfortable, reliable / easy to wear piece of lower face pro and none of them have ever fit properly with goggles or glasses either. The ATV mask looks like it'd work though, I've been looking for something like that.
  19. Yes another copy of Crye Multicam, but it looks a bit shit IMO (probably the worst out of all Multicam clones) Not very close to the genuine pattern either from what I have seen, but to be fair maybe it is better in person.
  20. A motor in a real steel grip? I doubt that is possible. I'd imagine it would be mounted to the receiver differently (for example you would need to drill out a hole for the motor shaft to go through as well) and it won't be hollow or be able to mount a motor plate onto it. Most manufacturers (of airsoft replicas) make their grips slightly bigger than real ones to accommodate the motor, although that said I'm sure I've heard RS on the other hand have grips which are more accurate to real dimensions. Don't ask me how though.
  21. Not sure about the features on the WE (I was gonna get one myself but everyone recommends to get an IMAX B6) I'm assuming you're talking about the model which is about £15? It's is obviously quite a simple smart charger compared to others - but nonetheless, the main feature is that it should cut off once a battery is fully charged at the very least.
  22. G&P? or a PTS ERG is my first thought
  23. Me, being an idiot as a beginner and buying two kinda shitty guns (the M4 definitely)
