  1. Only goggles I know will fit glasses underneath are Bolle PILOT / PILOPSI goggles. My dad has to wear em and hasn't found any others which fit. They're from the safety range though so don't look very tactical and are bright orange underneath.
  2. I wouldn't bother with a lot of upgrades unless you really need em! Range and accuracy is always good to improve though. Yeah new hop up unit and bucking / rubber whatever you call it. Prometheus, G&G Green, TM are good for the latter. If you're upgrading the barrel, quality is more important than length - but it's an expensive part to replace, £30+ at least and double that for one of the better ones and probably has less of an affect compared to the hop. Doing regular maintenance, using quality and the optimum weight BBs makes a lot of difference so not even any need to spend money swapping out parts. AFAIK piston / cylinder etc is just improving reliability / life span. Not much of an effect on performance. That said if it's lighter (DIY known as 'swiss-cheesing') could help for a high ROF build etc but that's about it
  3. Search g3 body pins...
  4. $140?! Add shipping and import tax etc you're probably looking at £100+ at least. For that kind of money you could get a mil-spec quality chest rig or plate carrier! TMC is decent but about what you'd expect for Chinese clone stuff (from their other products) Same kind of quality as Emerson I'd guess. But not as good as Flyye / Helikon etc.
  5. Goes well with woodland patterns but not so great with arid camouflage like Multicam IMO I was gonna buy ranger green as well but I've already got coyote brown gear so there's no point
  6. Yes, the hop up unit and/or bucking / and a new barrel should help. The barrel quality is more important than length is. Firstly make sure you're using quality BBs, preferred optimum weight should be 0.25s rather than 0.20s. It helps a lot. Also doing regular general maintenance like cleaning the barrel will help improve range and accuracy so you may not actually need to invest in internal upgrades. It is possible changing those parts will increase your velocity anyway, also whilst doing the maintenance reassembly / lubrication may result in a tighter airseal, thus increasing FPS. If it's still not as high as you'd like simply installing another spring would do it. The number of the spring (for example 100) refers to the velocity you should get in metres per second. If it turned out to be firing too hot with the new spring you can cut it down a coil or two to reduce power closer to desired level. EDIT - Yeah I was gonna say a Prometheus, G&G Green or Tokyo Marui bucking. Good quality barrels Prometheus / PDI / Laylax I believe? Madbull is a common brand which is more affordable and should still yield decent results to make it a worthwhile upgrade. The former are a lot more expensive AFAIK (easily £60+)
  7. Could be higher demand / price of raw materials or they just think they can get away with charging more as in enough people will still buy them. I've always thought that though unless you specifically need a chest rig I'd rather buy the plate carrier, since there's not much difference in price between them.
  8. I like how everything you bought is on 'Customers who also bought this...' Seems like it's showing you're the only person who bought em
  9. Can you narrow it down a bit more, like at all? At least to ones you just like the look of...or: Since you already have an M4, do you want another AR platform? Should your new gun be able to use AR magazines? Do you want it for CQB, or woodland? Would you plan to do a DMR set up, high ROF gun etc etc Do you want a lot of external customisability? If so an M4 would be great but an AUG, SG55x and so on won't have that many options TM Recoil rifles are ~ £415+ You could get a Tippmann M4 for £400 but would be £50 for the air tank, you should factor in the cost of batteries / ammo etc depending on the gun if you don't have any already. There's also a loadout thread and gun picture thread for inspiration as well - and 'Places to Buy' for store recommendations. In terms of making a gun more effective isn't always worth the time or necessary. For example, like the TM Recoils shouldn't need any upgrades -besides maybe a slightly higher power spring as they only shoot about 250 OOTB AFAIK- Just do general maintenance and use quality BBs, that is the easiest way to get good performance from any airsoft gun.
  10. Could get a Gen 1 Flyye Fast Action PC for £70 + WAS pouches A WAS DCS will be around £100 for the base PC itself but again cheap pouches though
  11. Only Halo Mill AFAIK and maybe the Skirmish place in Sheffield, can't remember the area / full name of it

They've been selling that pattern for a while now. I used to really want a set but saw it in the flesh and don't like it anymore lol.

    2. Chopper92

      Chopper92

    3. Mack
  12. It's an airsoft forum, take a wild guess.
  13. Hmm dunno what to think about the new FO4 info...doesn't seem Fallout-y enough. Reminds me more of rage? Hope it doesn't detract too far from the lore, anyone else know what I mean?

the largely unconfirmed multiplayer element is the only thing that concerns me in terms of atmosphere. Will quickly seem less apocalyptic if theres thousands of people running around meta-gaming the shite out of same maps.

I think the only way multiplayer would be suitable is if it had a system like SWTOR did for dialogue where you basically roll against each other as to who's choice wins. That said it's kinda unecessary and would work better as a sideline doing missions for various factions IMO

I've always wanted it to be multiplayer before, but after playing Elder Scrolls online I hope its not. a Co-op drop in and out feature would possibly be good though.

  14. Am I right in thinking WBB aren't even sold over here? And they're pretty expensive anyway. Get a 6.03. The closest correct length barrel should be sold as a 300mm or 267mm (usually 267mm is for used for 10.5" outer barrel M4s but in reality they're longer, closer to 300)
  15. What do you call those storage / divider pack things? Like the Snugpak Pakbox? Looking for some maybe that are better or cheaper

I think they are called packing cubes.

That's what I was looking for, cheers man :)

  16. Can't remember where I first found out about airsoft, although I think like most people the interest started with 'bb guns' cheap plinkers. Had a spring 1911 type thing, a GSG M9 which was actually quality, and a DE M56 at first. Then found a GroupOn deal so we could hire for £20 / £25 rather than like £45 so had to give it a go, that was at the old F&O Hey Wood site near Huddersfield. Shame they don't do it there anymore afaik, was close and seemed like a very good site too.
  17. and a compact first aid kit off Amazon
  18. Swiss Arms / UTG / Nikko Stirling etc would work but the majority of airsoft replicas don't work with guns that have a recoil feature.
  19. As with any airsoft gun you hear the difference between when there is / is not anything being fired.
  20. The S-Thunder launcher doesn't look like a gun so you don't need a defence.
  21. What about a stubby 4" RIS M4 like this? http://www.taiwangun.com/en/pj4-cqb-navy-p-j?from=listing&campaign-id=14 Similarly there's also the G&G Firehawk but I wouldn't get the newer model which is a full auto only one. They're under £200, under weight requirement, are AR platform so will accept M4 magazines and A&K / G&G are TM style so plenty of manufacturers making replacement internal and external parts. I know G&Gs will work with PTS PMAGs, not sure if you mean EMAGs / EPMs? Can't think if PTS has made any non-Magpul magazines yet or not. Don't know about the A&K (P&J) Can of course have a sling plate on the buffer tube (e.g. a Magpul clone ASAP is £4 off Ali Express)
  22. 7.4V = No upgrades really needed 11.1V = Lots of upgrades needed
  23. Not justifiable at all. What is the point? There are loads of eBay based airsoft retailers as well this is gonna harm. Start a petition or summut get em to remove it
  24. Don't be a dick for fucks sake. You could've just waited a bit and got it legitimately. It is not hard nor does it take a long time to be able to acquire a valid defence. You can't just 'borrow' a UKARA number anyway which nobody is willing to do because you're clearly being a nob about it.
