In picture 2 the slide isnt all the way forward so something is catching. Have you had it apart ? have you lubed the slide ? If you rack the slide without the mag in does the slide return fully forward ?

My 226 has a Maple leaf rubber, crazy jet barrel and i key and hop wheel in it, although tbf I do that with all my pistols. It's a good platform , mine is my go to side arm

Hi and welcome, if you don't mind a bit of a drive Survival in Torrington is good. Woodland site , friendly bunch and we don't take ourselves too seriously ! We have a few guys who come up from Exeter to play . They have a facebook group if you want to check them out. There are usually a few of us Old Gits at most games , you're always welcome to tag along with us if you wanted to get a feel for the place. Think there are 3 game days before Christmas from memory'

Had a great day on Sunday, my Frankenstein M249 build performed well , emptied a 1200 round box mag in 1 game ?. Our team's assault on the village was epic, the sheer quantity of smoke and pyro being dumped on the other side had to be seen to be believed ! all that and exploding pumpkins, what's not to enjoy

That'll work. Good call on 5 mags, I find that 5 mags and a speedloader last me an hours game easily. I tend to run my L119 most of the time but my G36 mags give about the same 2.5 BB fills to 1 gas fill . Encourages tactical play and single / double shots which I find very satisfying.

welcome to GBBR's , heavy mags are part of the fun !
-
My WE G3 does that occasionally, what seems to happen is that the valve knocker hasn't popped back into the firing position . Try cocking the bolt back then slap the mag in and give it a good thump before releasing the bolt.

I love my GBBR's , always take an aeg along and it usually stays in the safe zone as the GBBR's are just so much fun ! Only switch to aeg's when it gets down to single figure temperatures , even then I can use the GBBR's down to about 6 or 7 degrees with good mag disciplin.

I'd go with Nuprol Red now that the temperature has dropped a bit. That's what I'll be using in mine next weekend.

A mate had his L42 turn up today. seems very nice, bolt pull is smooth , first tests suggest it shoots well, the scope is very clear. Externals are great , feels very robust. The mate in question used one back when he was in and said it feels very familiar.

BB feed now in place, by opting for a side feed I can use my existing Classic Army box mag, which handily has a quick release for the feed. Sits behind the bullet belt nicely. Tried it today in a mate's orchard and it feeds fine and was hopping .25's with plenty of adjustment stil available. Now it's feeding I'll play with the nozzle and find the longest length that will still feed. At the moment it's set at a conservative length. It's getting there.

A build in progress. Transplanting an AUG hop unit into my S&T M249. I've had feeding issues and low power in it right from day one so decided to try this before I retire and replace it. More work to do yet, but as of today I've got it feeding and the power level is up. I fitted an adjustable nozzle which I'll need to dial in fully yet. Planning to give it a shake down at the next game day to see how it performs.

I do my own (and a few for mates) gas guns are generally pretty easy to work on. Honestly your best bet it to watch some videos and get stuck in. Learning to tech your own is worthwhile and satisfying.

Something like that I think , got to admire WE it's certainly destinctive !

Supplied speed loader , first thing I saw when I opened the box ! ?

I've got 2 WE M4 based builds , which is fundamaentally the same platform. I've had no failures with either despite a huge number of rounds through them. As a general rule I replace the barrel with a Maple leaf crazy jet and the rubber with a M/L 50 degree one. The rubber is more important than the barrel tbh. You'll need an NPAS or restrictor disk to get the power level down to site limits, I've got both and am happy with them both, mine hated the adjustable power nozzle thats available . On one of them I've got RAtec parts in the trigger nbox, but that's just 'cos I had them (they'd been sat in the draw for well over a year ) rather than because I had any issues. The boly lock can sometimes be tempremental, although I've never had any issues with mine. Basically I'd just replace the rubber and fit an Omega nub, maybe do the barrel if you want, then just use it until something breaks. Mine happily run Nuprol Red all year round unless the weather gets very hot like this summer then I switch to green. For games I run 5 mags and a speedloader, i can easily get two BB loads from one gas fill so that gives me about 300 rounds which easily last me an hour game.

I took firearms to be armed police , in which case a G36 works. Or you could go for an MP5 . I've goy 2 JG ones and they are so much better than they have any right to be at the price they are. Mine get used in a woodland site and I never feel outgunned, also ideal for CQB.

My L119 absolutly hated the mpa nozzle, had all sorts of feeding issues with it. Reverted to stock nozzle and NPAS

I did some running yesterday, took out a sniper by just running at him firing (semi auto not hozing) once I was inside his MED he was toast ? Then in the next game I scored a bang kill with my 249 by spinting around some cover to take out a lad who had us pinned down, spotted his mate a bit further away and lit him up . Some of my Old Git mates aren't talking to me now 'cos of the running thing ??

I believe they are the same mags. The RIF's are pretty much idenicle apart from slide design
-
Same as I paid for mine from them. Got a very snarky reply when I posted on Dave's custom facebook page that the price of his current batch was quite a bit more than I had just paid !
