Lol, I was aiming at an age I havn't quite hit yet !
-
Oldest member of our group is in his 60's . For myself, once my normal style of play starts becoming an effort i'll just snipe more. Sitting alone in a bush not moving and occasionally screaming insults at some young'un not taking hits sounds ideal for a grumpy old git ! Maybe there should be a minimum age requirement for snipers , about 55 sounds right 😉 🤣

Out of the fire; the L119A1 Phoenix rises!
Nick G replied to SBoardley's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
It's a great looking build , and nice to see another 'long' 119 👍 -
is the fire selector one too big or too small ? just get yourself on ebay and order a couple of sizes up or down depending. They will almost certainly be metric so M3 M4 etc

Yep all made in Canada but yes the L119 designation is British use So it's an ExPat Canadian 🤣 -

Ah, but it's Canadian. So it's a polite M4 and much less likely to shoot it's own side than those brash gobby american M4s -
Yep it's a laser, I got it for my MP7 but just thought I'd try it on the 226. And yes, it's the WE version Laser went straight on with no issues, although it doesn't fit on my G18 rail very well. Airsoft tolerances I guess

Thank You 😀 Do it ! you know you want to ! 😈

The chap on the L119 owners club on facebook is Bruno Carvalho . Easiest option would be to drop him a PM . Forget how much the set I got cost . They arrived pretty quickly as I recall. He also does a few other 119 bits.

Thanks, it's a bit of a labour of love ! Taken plenty of time to get to that stage, I started from a blank reciever for mine and built from scratch. Yours is getting there, when you can , put some time into it and it'll soon be spot on. Not had any issues with the mag catch at all on the A2 on mine I did the upper mods with miliput and lots of careful sculpting , for the GBBR I'm doing at he moment we have a set of the 3d printed parts to try, it'll be interesting to compare. I didnt find doing it particularly problematic although years of model building may have helped. Had the machining done by LCs engineering. This is a picture they sent of the machined and engraved parts for the A2 GBBR showing the work done. I've pretty much only run my GBBR A1 this year ! take an AEG along on game day and it stays in the bag Lol. The gas guns are very imersive and loads of fun. My A1 is based on a WE M4 and uses quite a few real steel parts. The A2 is getting genuine stock, pistol grip, fore grip buffer tube and mag catch. I tend to run 5 single mags and one double mag for a game and re fill with BBs from a speed loader, get about 2.5 BB loads from a gas fill. Mine runs happily on red gas pretty much all year, certainly in temperatures as low as I'm prepared to go out in ! My gas A1, it's got a more accurate ACOG on it now and the sure fire flash hider as I often run it with the can on for the look of it. Buffer nut is incorrect in that picture but now has a proper one on it . Would love to get a genuine British SF spec KAC rail for it, but they are a bit 'hen's teeth' and hellish expensive when they come up.

My TTI was a boneyard purchase which had a very sloppy slide lock / take down pin. I just fitted a spare one I had in my spares draw (possibly TM but wouldnt swear to it) and all good . Very easy fix.

I've seen one start spewing smoke in the safe zone when someone yanked out of his gun by the balance lead. It got lobbed into a bucket pretty sharpish. And I've had an RC helicopter totalled when the lipo went up. I suspect the outrunner motor may have worn through the outer covering on the Lipo . My fault if so as the battery wasnt in quite the right position. That was 'interesting' when it started spewing smoke ! got it on the ground before it went up at least.

Fair enough, to be honest they tend to be ongoing builds ! Just when I thought my A2 was more or less done was when I found out that the buffer tube needs some of the threads removing and the buffer nut is different. My A1 GBBR is pretty damn close and I'm working on a GBBR A2 build for a mate which likewise is going to be very close, but I need to go back to my AEGs and add some extra details that I didn't know about at the time. My AEG A2 build, about to be revisited!
-
It's a great start for a 119 A2 build, however I'm going to ask if you intend to add the proper details ? pistol grip and stock are not correct for an A2 , needs the reciever mods on the upper etc. Not running it down , its a good looking gun but rather like the AI magazine build more an 'impression' of an A2 at the moment.

Fitting an AngryGun L119A2 9.5" handguard to a G&G GC16 13.5" Wildhog
Nick G replied to Sightren's topic in General Help
I've just checked my spare nut and it does look like it's about 31mm . It might be worth contacting Fire support (I'd ring them) to see if the alternative nut is smaller. Otherwise as suggested a few wraps of PTFE tape might do the job. As an aside , if you aren't already it's worth joining the L119 Owners club on FB . Its an extremely knowledgable group and someone may have had the same issue and know a fix. -

try this. I too have fitted a few with no issues . WE GBBR and a Cyma reciever. Who did you get the rail from ? I do know there is a different barrel nut available. Can't remember what platform it's for , poss TM . Yhere is a chance you've got the wrong nut. -
The 'What have you just bought' Thread

New steel hammer for my JW3 'cos the stock one is prone to breaking . Mine hasn't , just doing some preventative work. -
Got a 'Sureliar' silencer for my L119's I do have the Angry gun replica but find that it works loose sometimes as the locking collar isn't as good as it could be. This looks the part, has trades that are very close to the replica and is hollow to take a tracer or foam inserts. I'me going to foam it as my tracer already looks like a can. No flash hider it just screws on to the barrel thread. Made of metal and anodised, looks the part ! Fitted on my A1 GBBR and A2 AEG

The MWS M4 is always going to be a popular choice, but I cant fault my WE M4 . Used it as a base for L119 A1 build. I'ts been used at every game I've been to this year with absolutly no issues at all. Keep taking an AEG 'just in case' and it never leaves the safe zone ! I'm running a Maple leaf rubber, omega nub and crazy jet barrel in it and am more than happy with range and accuracy etc. I run 5 mags and a speed loader , one gas fill gives me about 2.5 loads of BBs .

Day went great, we narrowly lost 3 games then absolutly destroyed the other team in a CQB game. Lots of great play by both sides. Lost a pistol mag but got it back at the end of the day after someone handed it in. And once again the WE based L119 GBBR didn't miss a beat all day 😁
