Well we could take off and nuke the entire site from orbit 😁 But since I am very easily led and have no will power to resist, a pulse rifle it will be then 😂
-
No worries, completely disregard the whole 1.3j limit thing lol. If the BB is jamming in the hop unit it might be that you have too much hop wound on , I had exactly that issue with an M249 yesterday, try taking some hop off and see if that helps. Otherwise it could be an issue with the BB's themselves , some are much better than others . Just to clarify was it shooting fine with the new barrel and hop rubber before the spring change ? When firing without a mag in can you see the nozzle moving backwards and forwards if you look down the magwell ?
-
So, Pulse rifle then ? 🤣

New project, been gifted a broken WE GBBR Thompson. Upper reciever is cracked so I've ordered a new one, now do I get some decent wood (fnar fnar) and rebuild it as a Thompson ........ Or do I use this, Snow wolf M41 A body kit ? GBBR Pulse rifle anyone ?
-
Lol I miss stuff all the time 🤣Very true, and if the OP is in the USA then not an issue (state dependant probably)
-
I took it from the answer that he is in the UK

Doesn't matter if you play at sites or just in your garden. If you have a RIF capable of full auto firing that is producing over 1.3j you are technically in posession of a section 5 firearm. Whilst plod is unlikely to come knocking and do checks It can happen. You don't need a a charge of a firearms offence, and neither tbh does the sport. Stick an M100 spring in that will get you to a decent power level and should keep you legal. Will also put less stress on the gearbox and battery. You might try it on a lipo to see if that improves the locking up, does it do it with different mags ? Define underpowered ? these usually come out of the box at about 1j which is plenty for the garden tbh. If it's lacking range have you adjusted the hop ? I know you replaced the rubber.

Just going to ask where in the world you are based ? 'cos an M120 spring will take you way over UK power limits for a gun capable of full auto . What battery are you using ?
-
I'd check out AK2M4, he is on here but has a site to look up. Does a good range of springs that do seem very good, I've used a few of his.
-
Yep that'll be the spring and is over 1.4 jouls so it is indeed hot. You will ned to try a weaker spring , probably M100 , or you could lop a couple of coils off the one thats in there.

First game this year for me today, waited for it to warm up just a touch ! Great day, 50 plus players which is a decent turn out for our site. Good comunication and tactical play by both teams , we won the 3 games I played. No aggro, aparantly there was a bit of non hit taking in one game but the marshalls had a word and that was that, no one screaming 'call your fucking hits' Fun day all round, my boneyard Specna 249 performed very well once I realised it was jamming 'cos I had too much hop on 🤣 and the GBBR L119 A2 got any number of nice kills , there by proving again that WE make good GBBR's and that you can use them in the winter ! It was the first run out for the Specna and the L119 so very pleased with them both.

As above, no idea what psi ratings are for them, I always thought red awsa closer to MAP gas as opposed to 'normal' propane. I certainly find power level goes up with Red and it is better in colder weather

Can you just run the mags without the bases ? been awhile since I looked at my Combat master so can't remember (although mine runs green gas mags)
-
Have you taken off the slide and had a look at the nozzle to check for damage ? otherwise is the mag sitting fully home ?
-
You need to post this in the apropriate section
-
Awesome result ! Enjoy using it 😀

That an ambidextrous mag catch , so you can also release the mag with your left hand , they do tend to sit at a bit of an angle. However it should be adjustabe. It looks like there is a grub screw at the right of your picture and it looks to be wound all the way out. You should be able to screw that in slightly which will alow some movement in the actual 'catch' part . Try that, I think you may have found your problem.
-
Have you tried comparing the mag catch lug to the slot in a mag whilst out of the gun ? I wonder if the catch is dragging in the slot slightly. I'm thinking width of lug on the catch rather than hight which you have alreads worked on.
-
Just had a quick try of both of mine. Mine are WE rather than TM but both have real steel mag catches fitted. I can comfortably drop the mag by pressing the catch with my index finger, no need to change my grip. Obviously the catch is lighter with the bolt locked back , but not massivly so. Does the catch operate easily without a mag in ? If it's still stiff like that then you might be able to fit a lighter spring. If it isn't then it definitly needs comparing to another gun
-
I think it would be worth trying to find someone with a GBBR M4 to compare . My WE mag catches are 'stifer' than my aeg ones but not unreasonably so . A gentle tap isn't going to drop the mags though, if you think about the bolt shooting backwards and forwards over the mag and the shaking it takes then the catch does need to be quite secure.

Sorry, only just seen this, but as others have already answered, not Hi cappa mags just double stack 1911 mags. They will struggle in colder weather.
-
Ok just watched a quick video on it and it looks like it takes the slim 1911 mags not the chunky Hi Cappa ones . If that's the case it's less of a suprise , 1911 mags have a very small gas reservoire compared to Hi Cappa mags or Glock ones. I've got 3 ( I think) 1911 's and whilst they all shoot well i tend to never game them because of the limited gas issue. Fun for a garden plink though. Can you post a picture of the mag ? Use will help a bit as things move easier.
-
Take a bottle of gas out with you if you've got a pouch it'll fit in. Having 5 mags just means I dont have to re gas in a game. Just refill when there is a lull in playing or while respawning.. Can't comment on the mags I'm afraid

Sounds like it's performing well so far. A mate of mine has the 417 and it's a beast ! BB weight wise I tend to use .30's in my GBBRs , although they will lift heavier I dont find the benefit out weighs the extra cost. Game play with them is great fun, work in close to the otrher team then pick your shots. It's very satisfying, ofcourse the other side will know where you are as soon as you open up just from the noise , and that can also be a factor in if you take a shot or not. 5 mags and a speedloader work for me and gives me ample ammo for an hours game, getting about 2.5 BB loads from a gas fill (on my WE mags) Have fun with it !

I/ve used a tracer on one of my GBBR's with a crazy jet in it without any issues. Not used the tracer on any of my pistols but cant imagine the results would be different.
