I pretty much only run GBBRs so I play accordingly. Work my way in close before I open up . My L119's are 30 roung mags so the 40 in the MP7 are a luxuary Lol. But regardless picking shots and making alowance for conditions still means I can take the drum mag boys on at range .

My boxmag has arrived , that beast will hold alot of gas ! I can kind of see how the customs monkeys broke the cover of Spartan's getting it off though I had to resort to a large screwdriver in the end.

I find range and accuracy are on a par with any other gun. Never feel out gunned put it that way

Did a bit of a proper trial with gas capacity. Fully charged stanag and I got 200 rounds out of it which I'm impressed with. Lots of short bursts , did the first 100 then gave the mag time to warm up a bit. Then the second 100 . Nothing left in the gas mag at the end but it did it. Probably 150 reliably in a game . The second 100 were tracers , that was a scream !

When did it last have a good strip and clean ? but yes a new hop rubber will likely help, be a good chance to check for wear in the hop unit too. I generally run Maple leaf rubbers in my GBBR's and pistols. But I cant remember if the mp7 uses standard GBB / VSR rubbers or not , it's been a while since I had mine apart.

It's bloody awesome ! not playing today but have been up to the site to try the 249 on the range. I've not done any scientific testing of gas fill to bb count with the supplied stanag , but I didn't seem to be refilling much . I suspect the box mag (on its way) might last a game if the gun is used in a sensible way. I was firing bursts and it just kept going. Bot over 150 BB's into a mag , dont think I'd bother trying to ram the max 175 in tbh. Range and accuracy were on a par with anything else that was being run up there today ( it is a game day I'm just not playing) . Actually the acuracy surprised me tbh. Tried it on .25's but may well go up to my usual GBBR weight of .30 will see how many BBs I am going through. Chrono'd it as well. Using green gas it was right on the edge of limits so won't be using red in it. I can see taking 4 BB mags and a bottle of gas into a game will give me plenty of ammo for my play style. And god the sound of it ! it'll keep heads down just from that alone ?

So far I've only put about one mag through it. But first impressions are very good. I plan to get the box mag for it but I'll order that from one of the the hong kong or Taiwan suppliers . Will do some tests at the weekend to see hom many bbs the stanag gas reservoir will fire before a refill. I suspect 10 or so round bursts will be optimal. Will try and get some video at the weekend. Selection of pictures, everything has trades, even the bolt by the look of it. Weighs alot less than you might expect, which will be down to the all Ali construction .

I appear ot have just 'accidentally' ordered one from Airsoft world ?

I have 5 WE GBBR's G36 , 2 M4 based L119's , L85 and G3 and cant say I've had any issues with any of them. The 119's in particular get used pretty much every game day and all year round. I also have the Umarex MP7 which a cracking little beast and unlike the tm one actual size. They all get properly serviced after games , the WE's have NPAS fitted along with maple leaf rubbers and Omega nubs . As others have said play style is different. I love the sneaking up and picking my shots style of play. Generally I run 4 or 5 mags and a speed loader for a game.

Looks a bit like a raven to me. What does the mag look like and what is wrong with the mag ?

Had a fun day today at Survival airsoft. Hard faught games with fair play all round. 50 odd players and no agro, although one lad did ask his mate if I was his grandad ! Although his mate answering 'I wish' took the sting out ? GBBR L119 perfomed faultlesly as ever a mate ran my GBB MP7 but the box mag on my aeg 249 jamed . Bloody electric airsoft guns !

Ive got the Umarex (VFC?) MP7 and its awesome. I regularly run it in the woods it's got plenty of range . Also have a WE L85 which is fun , but tbh I find the bulpup thing a bit awkward as I'm used to mags being furyher forward.

It's something only you can answer. If you are going to worry to the extent that it spoils your day then leave the expensive toys at home and run something cheeper. For myself I run my GBBR l119s pretty much every game day now and those probably owe me close to 4 figurs each and I don't worry about them. If they do happen to get damaged I built them so I'll fix them.

Not sure about the raven 1911's but their glocks are compatable with WE parts so you may find a WE hammer will fit. Milspec or socom will probably have them.

I usually play GBBRs, only rarely use any aeg's these days, and also never feel out gunned . As you say , you adlust your play style to suit. I usually run 5 mags and a speed loader which gives me about 300 rounds for a game and I've generally got some left at game over.

Latest purchase, Zoxna V2 mini launcher. The barrel diameter is pretty much spot on for the pulse rifle underslung. I'll need to mount the front part of the underslung differently as at the moment it opens to allow battery fitting. Then mount the Zoxna . Will require some faffing about but will be worth it to have the pulse rifle launcher working.

Pretty sure thats a R/S rail, looks the same as the one I have for my WE , in which case the adapter wont fit .
