  1. Care to share which retailer it is ? I'd be up for a pre order on one even with a long wait. Kind of get on the pre order waiting list sort of thing .
  2. What state is the inner barrel in ? If the fps was consistant but the shots were 'scattering' I'd suspect that. Might need a good clean.
  3. Just ordered an airseal nozzle and basic Gate mosfet for the Specna 249. Gate nano jobbie, no bells or whistles , just protection for the micro switch.
  4. Bone yard Specna M249 MK1 from patrol Base. Other than the snapped carrying handle (the reason it was a bone yard) , which I'm not remotly bothered about it all seems good and un marked. It's the polymer body but has the 'standard' LMG box and hop unit . I suspect the internals are A&K . Box mag works as it should etc. Acording to the box it's upgraded, does look to have a prommy purple hop rubber . What other 'upgrades' are in there are anyones guess tbh. Fitted a spare heat shield cover to it.
  5. The Sig is very nice (as all your work is) but needs the grips doing with the correct SIG SAUER and P226 markings to really finish it off.
  6. Did you also lube the lever on the trigger box that lifts the valve knocker when the mag is empty ?
  7. I'd get it and try it first before worrying about changing anything. Give the inner barrel a good clean before using it . Use a decent weight of BB (I use .30's in my GBBRs) put a few mags through it to start bedding in and set the hop and see how it does.
  8. My usual with my GBBR's is to fit a Maple leaf hop rubber , omega nub and Crazy jet barrel. A mate has the 417 and it seems pretty accurate , exactly what issues are you having ?
  9. As above, leaking from the router is usually down to the knocker valve not sealing properly. You might get away with just tigtening it up (they do work loose) or it may need removing and the O rings looking at.
  10. I paid £30 for mine as a wall hanger thinking it was an aeg untill I opened it up ! Spent a couple of hundred on spares and mags and now I have a fully functioning GBB L85 , it's great for gaming too and of course uses the same mags as my L119's I replaced the trigger box , bolt including nozzle and a few other odds and ends. It had been converted to some sort of laser based training platform so the trigger box had been butchered.
  11. I'm like that with guns, 'I don't need any more' closely followed by 'Yeah , but it's a ......' willpower is over rated
  12. In picture 2 the slide isnt all the way forward so something is catching. Have you had it apart ? have you lubed the slide ? If you rack the slide without the mag in does the slide return fully forward ?
  13. My 226 has a Maple leaf rubber, crazy jet barrel and i key and hop wheel in it, although tbf I do that with all my pistols. It's a good platform , mine is my go to side arm
  14. Hi and welcome, if you don't mind a bit of a drive Survival in Torrington is good. Woodland site , friendly bunch and we don't take ourselves too seriously ! We have a few guys who come up from Exeter to play . They have a facebook group if you want to check them out. There are usually a few of us Old Gits at most games , you're always welcome to tag along with us if you wanted to get a feel for the place. Think there are 3 game days before Christmas from memory'
  15. Had a great day on Sunday, my Frankenstein M249 build performed well , emptied a 1200 round box mag in 1 game ?. Our team's assault on the village was epic, the sheer quantity of smoke and pyro being dumped on the other side had to be seen to be believed ! all that and exploding pumpkins, what's not to enjoy
  16. That'll work. Good call on 5 mags, I find that 5 mags and a speedloader last me an hours game easily. I tend to run my L119 most of the time but my G36 mags give about the same 2.5 BB fills to 1 gas fill . Encourages tactical play and single / double shots which I find very satisfying.
  17. welcome to GBBR's , heavy mags are part of the fun !
  18. My WE G3 does that occasionally, what seems to happen is that the valve knocker hasn't popped back into the firing position . Try cocking the bolt back then slap the mag in and give it a good thump before releasing the bolt.

I love my GBBR's , always take an aeg along and it usually stays in the safe zone as the GBBR's are just so much fun ! Only switch to aeg's when it gets down to single figure temperatures , even then I can use the GBBR's down to about 6 or 7 degrees with good mag disciplin.

I'd go with Nuprol Red now that the temperature has dropped a bit. That's what I'll be using in mine next weekend.
  21. A mate had his L42 turn up today. seems very nice, bolt pull is smooth , first tests suggest it shoots well, the scope is very clear. Externals are great , feels very robust. The mate in question used one back when he was in and said it feels very familiar.
  22. BB feed now in place, by opting for a side feed I can use my existing Classic Army box mag, which handily has a quick release for the feed. Sits behind the bullet belt nicely. Tried it today in a mate's orchard and it feeds fine and was hopping .25's with plenty of adjustment stil available. Now it's feeding I'll play with the nozzle and find the longest length that will still feed. At the moment it's set at a conservative length. It's getting there.
  23. A build in progress. Transplanting an AUG hop unit into my S&T M249. I've had feeding issues and low power in it right from day one so decided to try this before I retire and replace it. More work to do yet, but as of today I've got it feeding and the power level is up. I fitted an adjustable nozzle which I'll need to dial in fully yet. Planning to give it a shake down at the next game day to see how it performs.
  24. I do my own (and a few for mates) gas guns are generally pretty easy to work on. Honestly your best bet it to watch some videos and get stuck in. Learning to tech your own is worthwhile and satisfying.
  25. Something like that I think , got to admire WE it's certainly destinctive !
