    AK2M4

Another massive thumbs up for @ak2m4 Small parts order placed Saturday AM was received Monday AM! Only small parts but good choice and not a rip off on postage like most others.
  2. Tonight I rebuild the AM-008. It will either work or it will be in the garden in pieces.

  3. Mk23 Vs SSX23 ?? However I already have an STTi which is a pile of a$$ but I have hadron & CJ parts for it.

Upgrade the STTi, end result will be the same as SSX23

Why would you pay over €100 for what's essentially a blingy pile of shit?

I have one and got extremely lucky, mine only had a shit outer barrel that got promptly replaced by Nov's CS with a slightly less shit one (still not aligned, but it's workable now). Again I got lucky with CS, others got told to fuck off.

Doesn't even come with a suppressor.

Get a genuine TM or another STTI, since you already have the important upgrades.

      Trust me.

P.S. the main selling point of the SSX, the SUPADUPA Alu slide, is off spec by a fucking nautical mile.

It seems that some of the shite performance of my STTi may be that I'm using a Fang rather than a H-plate. am going to try that before I start obsessing over a sticky trigger and crap feeding mags.

Thanks for the opinions though guys. I just wanted to throw money at it for a complete solution but I think I "know" the answer is to pour more love into the STTi.

  4. @proffrink Sorry to tag you again, did you manage to send those patches at all? Been 6 weeks since ordering ?
  5. Dammit I don't check the forum for maybe 6 hours and miss the most exciting thing to happen this week ?
  6. Taken like a champ ?
  7. Nobody warned me how bad propane smelled ?

      You never smelled petrol?

@Stoker love petrol smell. Propane was like acrid ass.

Petrol is the greatest smell in the world..... especially when it has fuel additive in it!! Then again I have been sniffing that stuff most of my adult life so it may have had an effect!

  8. It did cross my mind, as did putting a couple of ribs out of electrical tape but the heat shrink is incredibly supple stuff. It's almost like heatshrink velvet because it's so thin.
  9. OK so thin wall heatshrink v1 didn't work, it turns out that its not got glue internally like the thicker stuff has so after a few bolt pulls it started sliding up the spring guide. Installation v2 is going to involve the use of a pritt stick.
  10. If it's been done professionally then I'd be tempted to offer up the standard 60% retail, even then that's being very generous. If it's an OP who says they've done it then 2 categories: Good paint job:- 60% of the price of the paint, time doing it is value added for the buyer. Bad paint job:- Negative value as the new owner will need to put it right
  11. Is this the bit where I get offended because you won't treat me as special as I think I should be treated?
  12. Eh? I'm being nice and posting as regularly as I can so that WHEN I try and rip people off you'll ignore it ? Some people have so much front. £320 new or £450 used and no warranty? Hmmmmm tough choice.
  13. Just skip the first bit as nobody on here will buy your overpriced tat. We're not all dicks, we're looking out for other members who may not be price aware, you're just salty as you're on the sharp end.
  14. @Faceless barrel made me love wee a bit ?

  15. Just cut a piece off, probably got enough to do 10 spring guides on 1 order of this stuff. Fit's perfectly, used a heat gun rather than a lighter. As it's thin it doesn't try to hold shape so pulled tight one side before the other but has evened out well. Silverback spring fits over it with little to no resistance at all although will give it a think layer of grease before installing. For £3.29 I'm happy. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thin-Wall-2-1-Heatshrink-Tubing-Black-Heat-Shrink-Ultra-Thin-Tubing-Per-1-Metre/273904251393?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=573754623689&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  16. Just got home to find a parcel from Magya Posta; Faceless 509mm barrel Faceless R-Hop patch Faceless 100% seal Got to say the finish on the inside of the barrel is immense! Looks out of this world and that's before I've run it through with 99% alcohol. >Also got some heat shrink to test on the spring guide. The original one I bought was too thick to get the spring over but have found a "thin wall" version which should be better than electrical tape. Will link if it works. >Aaaaaaand my order of 19mmx2.5mm O-rings has arrived so I can fix my Mk23 mags hooray!
  17. At best it's worth 60% of retail price if it's lightly used, working and if all the original parts are included. The fact that it's in bits, missing a part with no guarantee it will work means I'll be amazed if anyone sane offers half your asking price.
  18. Courtesy of a marshall on site with a mobile phone. This is the "current" setup. Still need to get the headwear sorted out but pretty happy with everything else.
  19. Didn't imply it was a scam. Just a bit overpriced. If you prefer to have genuine fakes then of course that's your opinion also.
  20. Not particularly. My point was if the chap is selling fake sights for £17+fees+postage, why bother? Just buy fake ones for a £5r. If they are genuine then of course my initial point is null and void.
  21. Why have a marking if it isn't real anyway? Looking at eBay some of the Magpul ones don't even have markings other than a "bit of a grippy bit".
  22. 23. Or less than £5 new from eBay which have about as much chance as being genuine Magpul.
  24. Thank you for letting us know. Hope you've enjoyed your break.
  25. @proffrink Sorry to tag you. Any idea when the next patch delivery is going out?
