  1. Today I spent money faster than I made it. Damn you Skirmshop!

  2. Huge change of heart. Have just placed an order for a TNT Studio S+ barrel, 60deg TR hop buckings and a prowler nub. Will try to resist the urge to install said upgrades until March (Baby due E.O Feb so banned from playing in March) but meh.... I'll have the parts in a few days lol.
  3. Just put an order into Skirmshop for some toys for the SRS. When I'm banned from playing in March I'll at least have stuff to tinker with.
  4. Just ordered an Mk23 suppressor from @Samurai's site.
  5. I too am weighing this up for my Glock. The TDC on my Mk23 works brilliantly but the glock is a totally different use case. I've used a maple i-key and autobot with a CJ barrel and it fires 28's without needing any hop applying as such. Not sure what a TDC will bring other than ticking it off the list.
  6. In reading and researching the SRS, it does feel like a more "drag and drop" mentality is used than some of the more "historical" VSR discussions where the rifle is treated with cotton gloves and is a delicate balance and each part is carefully inserted and confirmed. The SRS is still a relatively new platform and there are not a huge amount of online resources. Sniper Mechanics guide is so far one of the better ones but there isn't pages and pages of different people trying different things (yet). @sonofsammo is doing a very good job though working his way through most parts 😁
  7. @sonofsammo if it works for you then no need to worry about what John, Jim or Jack say.
  8. Ordered some WE M9 magazine feed lips to replace the ones I destroyed on my mk23 clone.
  9. Sounds more like a cruel balancing act! I'm getting the impression that a lot of the aftermarket parts are quite "stable" specific in that if you use a maple leaf barrel you need the hopup, rubber etc etc and likewise with the TNT fold as well. The FAST hops seem to be most peoples fall back option. Ideally I'd like to use a 70 deg rubber with the Silverback flat hop but there's no point in me spending on one seeing as I'm intending on going R-Hop soon anyway although would be nice to "keep it Silverback" to try and keep things simple.
  10. £250-300 if it was genuinely "good" and I was in the market for it specifically. I am extremely tight though.
  11. Had to swap scope rings to large ones. Been messing about without a facepro and once I put the lower mesh on I couldn't get my eye low enough down. Not looking too bad now.
  12. I agree. I just wanted to run it past the AFUK think tank as well. In other news my boredom has driven me to order a differently coloured mag to the 4 I already have....dunno why. Just felt like it 🤷‍♂️
  13. Just looking at barrels at the moment. Can't make my mind up between a 6.03 PDI or a 6.05 PDI. 6.05 as it would be "predictable", no FPS increase expected and it's the stock sizing so the gun is designed around that. 6.03 as all the popular aftermarkets seem to be a touch tighter than stock, slight increase in FPS expected but negative would be over voluming. Faceless does a 6.04 which is near enough identical to PDI and shares the same R-Hop patches but I'm unsure as there is no reviews on them other than that website.
  14. Who's in work today? I am 😞

  15. For anyone considering buying a Faceless spring guide to silence any "twang". I bought some heat shrink and applied to my current guide, made it too wide for the spring to fit over (what a waste that was). Second attempt I did a wrap of electrical tape with about a 1/3 overlap and cut the ends straight, has worked a charm, no spring twang at all.
  16. Mags come with a dog dick anyway dude but always worth having a couple spare I guess just in case. Where did you order from? My normal "go to" places to order from have been out of stock of replacement cocking handle knobs and suppressors for a while?
  17. Very nice @Immortal, I know you chrono'd in at 491 but I'd be really interested to know what you come in at using a 0.4 or heavier. Got a funny feeling you're going to get a huge amount of J creep.
  18. Quick one from when it got accessories.
  19. I'm in love! Sport plus the DTS suppressor looks awesome and the M150 with FAST chamber is giving perfect FPS & Joules. Even got a 100% seal first time!
  20. So impressed with the SRS. Sport plus an M150 spring actually gives a very comfortable 2.33J on a brand new spring! No messing.

  21. 2 bags of this https://www.military1st.co.uk/ac-ghf-pp-03-helikon-ghillie-fiber-yarns-us-woodland.html Yes I know burlap is cheaper and you cna dye your own for cheaper but when you've bought the burlap and taken hours to separate it and then bought different colour dyes and taken the time for that then this doesn't work out as badly as you'd think. Also as it is synthetic it is stated it won't go up in flames like real burlap would do (ideal incase pyro gets thrown on you).
  22. Not sure if you'd class it as too big or not but I run a Swiss Arms 3-9x50. About £60-70 from Amazon and I'v found it very clear for a cheap scope. Has held it's zero really well as well. Must have had a good 2-3 years trouble free use from it. It's sat waiting to go on the SRS now. Oh you're HPA'ing! Nice. Yep please do let me know. PDI with a faceless patch and FOW is most likely the path I'd go down, just trying to feel out all of the options.
  23. Super interested to know how that performs for you.
