  1. It is definitely possible, I have a C-08 with a 36k warhead black and 13:1 gears. Keep in mind that the warhead is a very particular motor and requires some considerations: You NEED to short stroke the gears, the thing cycles so fast that if you don't, you will either PME like crazy or have horrible timing issues, on my C-02 I short stroked by two, on my AK I had to knock 4 teeth off. Removing teeth from the piston isn't necessary, AOE correction isn't necessary on most setups (didn't do it on mine, but I generally don't believe in AOE correction unless it's a mega wanker 50+ RPS DSG setup); You NEED to trim the tappet plate fin, otherwise you'll run into timing issues where the piston is released when the nozzle is still moving. Don't overdo it or the gun will simply stop feeding. On mine I also reprofiled the whole fin to make the nozzle smooth in its travel, but this step is unnecessary in most cases. With this in mind, replace the nozzle with a POLYMER one with an o-ring, replace the piston head o-ring while you're at it to ensure proper air seal and maybe take a look at mosfets (Perun Hybrids are great and work really, really well with brushless motors). If you short stroke you will probably need a stiffer spring, but don't go overboard and order a M150, my guns do 0.99J on shortened M90s with the sole exception being my AK that runs on a M100. To achieve 1.13J I guess a M100/M110 is fine depending on your compression setup.

  2. The last gnu I bought new took about 5 fresh swabs of isopropyl to clean it out properly. I don’t believe that manufacturers have any real QC checks when assembling. The inner barrel was black with machine oil and grime! ABSOLUTELY & DEFINITELY clean the inner barrel as your first job

    Gaming Headset

no apology necessary, there's no mic on the akg's they're purely audio headphones. i get around this on pc with an external mike, afaik there are add-on mic's available but might not be so compatible with console.

    Gaming Headset

I've got a fairly big noggin (59cm) and I've had these... Razer Blackshark v2 Pro wireless (current headset) Logitech G533 wireless (didn't like it) HyperX Cloud 2 wired The Logitech was either a bit of a head clamper, or actually too loose, it's been a long time with it stuck in a box somewhere so that I can't remember which! I didn't like the audio too much though, and the mic wasn't so good either. The HyperX was comfortable and I really liked the sound quality. I very nearly bought the wireless version, but I fancied a headset with optional surround sound, so I bought Razer and the THX Spatial software for it. I wish I'd bought the Hyper X to be honest. Sorry I just noticed you're after a PS5 headset, I'm on PC and not sure if they're compatible, but maybe the info will help anyway.

  5. Everything is possible as long as you've got money and free time. Just buy the gun and have a feel for it first. It already has a mosfet so you can put an 11.1v lipo on it. Trigger response can't be that bad. If you open your GB you will void your warranty straight away just keep in mind. You don't have to spend that much money just on a motor to be honest. I bet a proper 22tpa SHS and a 13:1 gear set could be already a good base for trigger response. Also, precocking is needed for snappy builds. If you use your gun as a DMR, I wouldn't worry about precocking. If you use it indoor, precock could mean a huge difference between two shots.

  6. It really hurts that you're decimalising an imperial measurement!!!! Infairness though, doubt you'll get a half an inch as the threads alone are probably that long.

    M4 handguards

Indeed that would! Thanks for the spot I've just had some financial bad news though, so as it's not essential it's getting added to my future shopping list.

  10. The only thing I'd do to the gun is clean the barrel with some isopropyl alcohol on a swab - hopefully you got a cleaning/unjamming rod with it.

  11. I went this way with mine, a mate is going to recess some Ruger grip medallions into another set of wooden grips to finish the build for me

  12. It was extremely hard to keep it compressed when I put the gearbox back together, so the spring was definitely compressed. This makes me feel a bit better since I am not super eager about taking it apart again lol Okay I’ll give this a shot! I’ve noticed it’s a bit finicky to put the upper back on the lower because of the battery wire (front wired). I finally got it to fit right without the wire being compressed too much. After replacing the bucking, I’m having a slightly better result, but still inconsistency with fire rate and inevitable jamming. I think my next step may be bringing it into a shop and having an actual professional work it

  13. Heh, this one is not secure enough to hold any valuable since it doesn't have any closure system (not that it can't be DIY'd or engineered huh). I just use it for navigation equipment (pencil, map, 10cm metal ruler and plastic protractor). I keep my car keys/phone in my backpack that I always have on my back, dummy corded so there's no way of losing them. The harness was chosen because I also have their flatpack straps (called PackStraps, many creativity, such wow) and they're very, very comfortable compared to HSP/clone stock straps, if anything a little too expensive to import (they were about €80 after customs and import fees, I got 50% off the straps themselves so you are looking at well over 100 for full price) but worth it. As per the other thread, I won't be overloading it with pouches, wings, danglers and all that crap unless absolutely necessary, I'm keeping this one ultra slim. If I need to carry my kitchen sink I'll just wear my Mayflower or belt kit

    Gun picture thread

Bought an old Limcat H-bar from someone. Had it and the frame cerakoted to breathe some new life into it. I’m in awe of this colour 👌🏽 I also absolutely wrecked the paintwork on my AA G19. The same guys did a clean camo job on it to make it look new again! Inspired by the hillbilly cerakote that RWA are doing on their latest batches of AA slides.

  16. If you have an AEG, a battery, some ammo, eye protection and a legal place to use it in, you're good to go. * I'd always recommend a sling ** You may want extra magazines *** A battery charger is quite important too

  17. The rifle after I added a sling and scope cover to finish it off. Also since have put a piece of tape over that “CE” mark for now haha.
