Then trying to justify it's a classic. Well I've still got my original TM XM177 springer...... To you, a mere $1m dollars. It has a sleek design. That old classic TM creak, that gets all the old players sweaty with dread. Was that creak or crack, my back or the gun. It's features more plastic than cher. It even features a drop down handle, which has you biting your lip, not in excitement. But in stiffness and the thought of breaking it if pulling too hard....

I was comparing felt recoil on my VFCs this afternoon and took the opportunity for a family photo.

Cut my kit down to the bare minimum, no belt, just this thing. Looking at something slicker, more comfy but this is pretty spot on for what I need.

Popped down to dirty dog to try out some alterations I'd made to my kit. First running a 6sh117 vest was much nicer than sweltering in an over loaded plate carrier and definitely allowed me to enjoy myself for longer. Second after making some cosmetic changes to my cyma ak104, swapped the Magpul m lok handguard for a 5ku B10 rail and a nicer foregrip, it was the most comfortable to use replica in my collection. Stock performance has been great since I got it and hasn't needed any tinkering thus far. My usual group all had to pull out last minute for different reasons so I decided to not be a mopey bugger and pop down on my own and have the best time possible. As usual all the usual crowd were fantastic and I managed to get out me shell and socialise out of my comfort zone a bit. The afternoon game required the teams reorganising a bit so I managed to spend both full field games attacking up hill while we moved a mannequin "casualty" from one side of the site to another. First time we managed to get really organised as a team and complete the objective in good time. Second time after the team rejig the enemy resistance was far more effective and we timed out but had my favourite moment of the day. Me and a few other players launched a diversionary attack on the flank giving the dummy carrying group a easier time in getting the dummy near to the objective for a really closely contested game. On a bit of a self congratulatory note after using discovering Airsoft last November as motivation to lose 6 stone it is definitely a lot easier to sprint round a field and have a great time and meet some good people.

Maybe though I want to give him some benefit of the doubt that he can eat some humble pie and ask about something not so niche and esoteric then find out for himself how helpful this community is.

I bought an Aliexpress repro D3CRM and some inserts so I can carry either 3x 5.56, 2x .308 or 4x SMG mags, so that's generally how I carry SMG mags. My plate carrier has placards that I swap between 3x 5.56, 3x .308 or 6x SMG mags, so that's what I use in CQB. I have two rifle mag pouches on my belt kit as well, but no SMG mag pouches so whatever's on the torso rig is all I get. I could replace the rifle mag pouches with some SMG mag pouches on my belt if I wanted to, but I don't use SMGs enough to warrant it. The only setup that doesn't let me carry any SMG mags at all are my LBE setups, but why would I want to use an SMG with an LBE setup? That's designed for long range reconnaissance style loadouts with a long rifle and often some sort of viper hood, not an SMG 😂 However, I very rarely use SMGs. I predominantly use sniper rifles and DMRs, or long-barreled 1.1J builds, and even in CQB I tend to go with an SBR like my mk18 MWS instead.

The limited edition Tokyo Marui rifles are quite collectable. The XM177 isn't one of them as it was a normal run AEG back in the day. Have a look at the GOLGO 13, Burns M653, AK Spetsnaz or any of the resident evil pistols. The Burns rifle is an interesting one. It came in 2 flavours, fixed or sliding stock and the story goes it was released after the movie Platoon and was meant to be the main character "Barnes" rifle but somewhere along the line someone messed up the translation. The AK is just a AK Beta Spetsnaz without a stock but this was released at a time when there wasn't 500 Chinese clones.

Saw an Osprey mk4 Hip Belt (large of course) on fleabay & decided to buy it, 1. it adds to my Osprey mk4 collection 2. it has slightly more molle rows 8/6/8 compared to my 'battle belt' set up of 6/7/6 They look very similar but the Osprey presents the first mag on each side further forward & as a fat lad that means I can reach the mag pouches easier. The Osprey (top) is set up as a sharpshooter belt for my GBB Scar-H & the Battle Belt is set up for 5.56 stanags. You can tell the Osprey is a little longer but I do need to get another belt for it to go round my roundness. I've stripped down my Osprey mk4 Body Armour to a basic set-up with just a couple of utility pouches & a placard on the front, so in theory I could wear both in game but lets face it... the damned thing weighs a tonne even without pouches, so that's unlikely. 2nd pic is the sellers pic from fleabay.

I've got both the Burns rifles as well but never bought the Golgo when it was first released and seeing the price of them now makes we wish I had. Sadly only got the 1 resident evil pistol which is the chrome sig 226 with the extended mag

I'm guessing you use a rifle with your current plate carrier. If you're happy with that why not just swap out the rifle mag pouches with smg ones?

I usually run a chest rig, but you could try one of the placard-style rigs that take different inserts for different mags. Do you have a pic of the plate carrier?

if it helps i bought mine a couple months back for around 640 with 3 mags and similar internal upgrades. mine did come with a sig red dot and suppressor tho.

I assume you'd posted that also on Used Airsoft. At that price, you should get interest quickly as the MK18 URGI has shot up in retail price over the past few months. It's usually between £650 and £700 brand new.

Sorry, but do old Airsoft guns hold any value like that? For £800 I'd want more than an old, bland rifle ngl, especially when I could just get one that looks the same for like <£100 I mean, I collect RIFs as well as skirmish, but I don't specifically try to get older models, just the platforms I like the look of. RIFs just don't strike me as that kind of collectible (if you get what i mean).

Off for a game tomorrow and decided to cobble together an irregular/militia kit. Think the mix of Russian camos and a fila jacket has achieved reasonable levels of gopnik. Krink with the stendo mag adds ten points to practicality of course.

Irrespective of whether members have been happy with their deals with him, many, me included, have questioned the validity of his ads. Such as claims the goods are new, but no warranty is given, & according to the forum rules, retailers/dealers aren't allowed, & all items are to be considered secondhand. As for his prices,they've often been shown to be equal to, or even higher than rrp, even though he'll try to claim otherwise.

I've had both mws and vfc rifles among other gbb platforms. I've since sold all my mws rifles and kept buying vfc . I've not had an issue with accuracy and certainly nothing that couldn't be solved by a new hop rubber if I couldn't be bothered to wear in the stock hop
