Joined the club this week. Feedback using green gas is surprisingly crisp. Legitimately tempted to pick up another box and not worry about HPAing it. Very light, almost uncomfortably so, especially compared to my EBR, might pick up some dNA parts eventually. only plan to slap an EOtech and a railed hand guard and call it a day. overall though, love it so far.4 points -

Thanks both. I still Pew a bit using a golf cart type mobility scooter, but its not exactly stealthy! 🙃 but even with that I'm heading to ~90% chairsofter now. The pics above were just to give a rough idea of the scale of the problem - most of the boxes are ~60cm x 40cm, a few smaller and one much larger. Couldn't get them all in one shot hence the composite pic. I will need to spread out the contents of each one for actual selling type pics, plus the rule 5 bit of paper of course! 😁 I really don't want to have to fuss about with many individual bits, ~14 boxes plus about a dozen RIF's in various states to pack and post will be more than enough of a hassle for me to cope with as it is 😶. I'm not looking to get anyway near the true value out of this either (though contributing to my latest 'I shouldn't...' would be nice 😁), its more about moving the stuff on to people who can use it or even sell it on for themselves, and getting it out of my way.3 points

How should I move on multiple Boxes of used Rif's and Parts?
ButcherBill and 2 others reacted to Tackle for a topic
Agree, bundle by platform type, with an all in price, tip each bundle out on to a white sheet for a couple of decent spread out pics of each bundle, & post a separate thread for each platform/bundle. Be prepared for questions, & offers on individual items, but then you can use a photo editor to cross out anything you split, adjusting the price accordingly. & don't forget rule 5 😱 Good luck PS. Sorry to hear about your health issues, there's a few of us on here in a similar situation, just keep your chin up & remember there's always a way to keep pew pewing, just gotta be prepared to adapt your mindset & style of play sometimes. 🍻3 points -

Galvatron and 2 others reacted to ButcherBill for a topic
There's bound to be stuff in each box to interest people, my suggestion would be to split the boxes up into smaller bundles by type (AK, AR etc) as you've already done & be realistic with your pricing. Try and display each bundle in the pics so the items are easily seen by buyers, you'll prob get messages for bit's n bob's so be prepared to sell off individual items & recalculate your price as things sell. Is there anyone you can rely on to take bundles to game days to sell? a captive audience of airsofters are more likely to offer £10 here & £10 there just to get one item out of a smaller bundle. Good luck.3 points -

Looking for some advice re selling off a load of bits and pieces, mostly by the boxful. A bit of background - When the Tech at my local site decided he'd had enough I already had vague plans to start a sideline tech-ing, as I have experience with electromechanical stuff as well as electronics and had done a bit for others as well as my own kit. So I bought most of his 'stock', including hire RIF's in various states of repair, spare parts, gearbox parts and complete, frames, mag's, broken or incomplete RIF's, et multiple cetra! There was quite a lot of stuff! Unfortunately my vague plans never came to pass, primarily due to ongoing health issues, and almost certainly never will for the same reason. So, I still have rather a lot of the stuff I bought, and with that and my own ever increasing collection, and never throw anything away habits :-), its got to the point that I literally cannot move in my shed without knocking stuff over, or going over myself! so I finally realized a lot of it has just got to go. So I'm selling off most of it. Some as complete RIF's, some incomplete, most as boxes of bits and some as individual bits. All used or parts only. The boxes are roughly sorted by type, AK, M4, G36, MP5, Pistols, MP7 AEP's, Bolt action and misc. bits. 14 boxes so far. Some example pics added below (I hope). But the question is where & how to sell it? Can't do a stand at eg the Gaol car boot/ arms fair because of the health problems. eBay seems obvious for parts, until some lowlife decides to report the listing for some petty online vandalism (happened twice). In the Classified's? I don't know how much interest there would be in boxes of mostly generic parts, or six ex hire ex two tone S&T G36's or two faulty MP7 AEP's. The list goes on PreFired or similar? haven't looked at any of them for quite a while, so I don't know which are good/bad/just don't go there. I'm not looking for silly prices for any of it, silly low maybe 🙂 , but do need it gone. Idea's and advice anyone? please?2 points

Philbucknall and one other reacted to Lyndication for a topic
VFC tends to do either licensed releases, or unlicensed. When they do licensed releases, like an official KAC L403A1 replica, they tend to make sure everything is above board. They get the rights to MLOK via KAC, for example, as they're reproducing KAC's design that in turn includes Magpul's MLOK IP. When VFC wants to do something completely unlicensed, they go to one of their shell companies, like Maruyama, APFG, or Star Arms. That way they can do B&T or Sig products without incurring the relevant costs or design oversight. For example, VFC P320s via Stark Arms or Parabellum run much better overall than the officially licensed Sigair P320s because Sig demanded they be designed for CO2 first and foremost as military/law enforcement training aids and Airsoft toys distant second. Generally KAC is not gunna want its officially licensed replica to have stolen IP from other companies, so you tend to get basic A2 grips and the like on them. Overall it tends to be pretty all-or-nothing in terms of replicas. That's before you get into companies that just hold licenses and outsource to companies like VFC, such as Umarex or Cybergun.2 points -

Spent the afternoon rebuilding my Cyma SVD to see if I could get its FPS consistent. Shooting 319 fps on a .3g BB with 2 fps variation on average through 50 shots so quite happy with it now. However as I'm now a super sneaky sniper an all black rifle wasn't going to cut it. Just need an idea on how to cover the PSO-1 so it blends in with nature more without permanent modification as it gets moved around a bit 🤔 I was thinking this: https://www.empireairsoft.co.uk/classic-sniper-rifle-3d-camo-cover.html?id=269271424 as it's in ATACS FG but no idea if it would fit my SVD?!2 points

Shotguns

I've got one of the sawn off ones with the goose neck grip and they're great fun to use. In fact for a while it was my first choice for cqb games. For maximum fun you do need to change your playing style though as the lower rate of fire means you need to pick your shots and avoid getting into drawn out firefights. The only downside I found was that the gas reservoir for mine is quite small so I had to carry a can of green gas to refill it1 point -

OMinCheshire reacted to MrTea for a topic
The guns themselves are pretty good to be honest but the only viable scenario i've used them in is CQB sites. I used to use one at my CQB site and on 3 shot mode, it never had an issue sailing the BBs across the 35m-ish length of the site. Personally, I had the GE 8878 and the adjustable stock made it very comfortable to use. The shells are fine to use but a lot of people opt for the adapter that allows use of a M4 magazine instead but, IIRC, you had to remove the loading door to make it fit. If you're going to use one at a CQB site, getting a tracer is a great idea. 5KU makes a tracer that fits over the end of the barrel and is secured by three grub screws.1 point -

They only really bother with licenses for guns tbh. Where manufacturers have accessories they replicate those, but they don't really seem to go in for repros of tactical accessories. Based on the Armourer's Bench video it looks like the L403 is used a lot with Magpul SLK stocks. They probably just don't have a repro license for that and slapped the basic not-B5 stock they use on their AEGs/GBBs.1 point -

@Chai. The real answer for full face goggles is to try them on All full face paintball goggles (from real suppliers - not AliExpress & Temu) meet the same safety standards such as a foam surrounded eye zone, and they all have vent holes on top to aid sweat / hot head venting and around the mouth to vent hot breath I would not think that BBs would penetrate the vents of any (compliant) paintball goggles. You could take a BB and push it through a vent, but a flying BB will have to be flying at a perfect angle and still have to have high energy to push through The safety design standard is for .68” / 17mm, paintballs which are designed to break, but nowadays paintballs go down to .50” and .43” but goggle designers know at least in the back of their mind that they have a potential slice of the 6mm bb airsoft market - they are not going to knowingly increase the chance of BBs going straight into the mouth when trying to add airflow In the price ranges starter / rental goggles have a tough plastic then the mid and premium ranges go softer which can help head fit but especially for airsoft ‘real style guns’ allows for some give on leaning your cheek in Top of the range gets the newest feature designs, and they filter down the range over the years In my original days lens changing on entry levels (and also mid range) was a major technical task, easy quick change lenses arrived and should be across the ranges these days (I have not looked at a current entry level lens change) (Talking of lenses - avoid the prettiest reflective coatings etc, they will scratch just being looked at - I made the mistake of buying new lenses to play the next weeks game but fitted them while photographing an event and scratched them to hell in minutes) Different brands and models fit heads differently Dye tend for minimum physical coverage to minimise the air held for fogging which is fine for small heads or big heads that don’t mind exposing chins and mouth I could get on with the Dye i3, exposing my mouth when shouting but the i4 was far too little My perfect head fit was the Angel Eyes prototype, but that will never be sold and the large design is marmite, love it or hate it I have tried on the CMD among a few new releases when they came out, but my go to favorite that fits me for all my needs is the VForce Grills range If someone has goggles ask nicely to try them on, otherwise get yourself to one of the retail shops dotted around, or at larger events there are often trade stands Up north BZ paintball, in the Midlands get to a CPPS tournament weekend, down south It’s Super5ives and further over to the South West it’s On Target Supplies The CPPS tournament in the Midlands would have traders with their complete ranges at the start of the season, though will still bring most out at this time of year, as the season comes to an end there may be bargains to be had If you’re more to the South of the country, Martello of On Target down near Plymouth is the man with the full knowledge - he is the one behind Paintball magazine having personally reviewed every goggle on the market and has decades of experience playing, event organising and site running in both paintball and airsoft Chris of Super5ives around Portsmouth began in the paintball world, but played/plays both airsoft and paintball. He was the man behind the build up and merger of the paintball & airsoft societies in Southampton University, and ran his own tournament I think that all his staff at Super5ives are players1 point

In my research I found a couple of upgraded hop up options but they are very limited. I still have the standard LCT rotary one in my gun with the nub, rubber and barrel change it shoots very consistently so I haven't spent a lot of time looking into the options as I don't think it needs it (for now). The Gearbox is a standard type 2 and is available for around £130 new (in the UK). The newer V2 LCT gearbox has a quick change spring which is different to the earlier gearbox in my gun. They take long shaft motors. I changed mine to the brushless Warhead base motor as the standard one was getting very warm with the M130 spring. It also gives it a snappier trigger response, I might go to a Gate Aster at some point in the future as the optical trigger is so quick and adjustable. If you get the fixed stock they have plenty of battery space and can run on 7.4 or 11.1 Lipo/Lion batteries. As standard I did OK with the 7.4 but the bigger spring really needs the 11.1. Only other things to add are It's very long and heavy I know I said this before but don't underestimate it. I wanted a chunky DMR so it works for me but a few others I have spoken to bought them to use a 1.3J automatic rifle and you really have to want one to carry the thing, try and handle one before you buy. Picture attached to compare it to my MP5 and MP5K. The mid cap mags don't feed well, there are guides to modify them but I went straight to high caps which work perfectly (apart from the battle rattle) Make sure you insert the mag properly into the gun, they are like the AK where you need to clip the front in and rock it back into the mag well. I've thought I got the mag in a couple of times but its dropped out when I started running.1 point

Because there are no "shady practices". I don't run business that way. The "patch" aka this kit, which I ran for about 6 years with no issues either in person or online until HRC, weird. I only put that together because I found the K98K. You can complain about anyone in the Frontlines Airsoft Discord too who also do historical kits, who are a great bunch of guys. Yeah I made some comments about that too, look at the rules about the server and how militant and childlike they are. Never had any issues anywhere before, or since, and certainly not related to the way in which I conduct business ? HRC has its own reputation, and its not just coming from me. I'll leave it at that, as this has far detracted from the original point of this thread.1 point
