  1. 100% "At just 19 years old, this aspiring YouTuber has explored numerous airsoft sites across the country, immersing themselves in the thrill of the game and connecting with fellow enthusiasts. However, to truly share these experiences and elevate their channel, they are in need of essential recording equipment such as GoPros and scope cameras." Well get a fucking job then like the rest of us. Why should anyone else give him £500 towards his own hobby. Get fucked. At just 19 years old he's decided he doesn't want to work, he wants to solely persue his hobby and thinks everyone else should pay for it.

  4. Oh, he's posted it again further inflating the price. It's a V2 WE GBB which is now end of life, you can buy the V3 Scar H with 3 extra mags brand new for around £420 after shipping and import charges are taken into account from KIC. Has 'semi locked' it because its running at 420fps, but also claims it has a RATech Aluminium NPAS nozzle in it - so I wouldn't trust it to be actually semi locked if he can't even figure out how to twiddle a screw to reduce said fps. Aluminium Nozzle and the TNT hop unit only belong in one place anyway, the bin, as they're significantly worse than the original parts, so they do not add value at all. He's also irreperably damaged the bolt to make the charging handle non-reciprocating, as it is not possible to make that reversible. So, even if you discount the things he will let you option out, he's asking for an £100 premium over new for a fucked Scar H.

I can't believe you wasted a perfectly good Mr Kipling apple pie. This might be a worse crime than picking up someone else's pyro to be honest. But to talk about the topic at hand... there's nothing wrong with throwing a not-grenade into a room to try and clear it, but nobody should take a hit because of it. My favourite is pine cones, but I'd never expect anyone to take a hit as if it was actually a grenade. The whole idea of fake grenades is to get people to run out of the room or clear the area because they think it's a grenade. If someone obviously called a hit from it, I'd tell them they're not dead and it was a cheeky pine cone to try and get them to displace. However, the guy picking up your grenade and tossing it back is a big no-no. Never touch anyone else's reusable grenades, because that's how they go missing. The person who has spent the money on that reusable pyro is 100% going to head into the room at some point to pick it up ad not just forget about it, because they're not cheap!

  6. A nonce is a sex offender, typically a pedophile. It's an acronym for not on normal courtyard exercise, ie a prisoner who can't be allowed in the open with other prisoners for their own safety. So yeah, a little excessive for someone who's overcharging for airsoft guns. ?

  9. The older I get, the more I understand why older people in my youth were so irritable. Does this kid have no concept of humility? I'm curious why he needs a GoPro or a Scope Cam. Granted, the image quality is better with them but he can find himself a generic action cam (and a suitable mount) for a small fraction of the price that will give him a much larger fraction of the video and sound quality. If he was good or prolific enough for a donation or sponsorship of a GoPro, he wouldn't need to set up a Just Giving page to mooch for one. He strikes me as the choosing beggar who would spit in the face of someone offering him a free Happy Meal because he wanted a fillet mignon.

There is a level of legal implication. The instant you appropriate someone else's property after having been told not to touch it, you lose the Theft Act 1968 section 2 (1) (b) dishonesty defence to theft, and have to rely on intent. Of course, everyone who finds and appropriates property will claim that their intent was to throw it back, or put it somewhere safe, or hand it to a marshal, or ask around the safe zone, or ask on the Facebook group when they find it in their dump pouch later. Most people will even claim that honestly. But someone sticky-fingering a BFG or mag will claim it twice as vehemently if caught. This is why I'm wary about picking up anything on site, for any reason, as opposed to standing over it until the owner or a marshal shows up, or moving it carefully aside with a foot. I know I'm not going to steal your stuff, but there's no way that you can know that, any more than I can know that you weren't intending to steal mine. On a pragmatic note, well meaning people who pick up items from the floor and put them somewhere "visible": please, please don't. Nudge them to the side, sure, but I'm always going to be searching for them on the ground. I've lost count of the times that I've walked right past grenades that have been put up on a ledge or barrel.

Added a grip to the magpull MOE handguard and a qd sling point so I don't have to lug it all day. Next up a new red dot as the last one was a bit too cheap but not nearly cheerful enough. Also a tan mag as it just looks better on AKs.

Genuinely thought people used nonce as the most exaggerated, blasé, broad insult for anything that's remotely strange or aggravating regardless of it's actual meaning. Must just be a local or generational thing. Apologies if that's ruffled some feathers with the guys in here, not the intention.

  16. He's made it very easy by not knowing how to mount a scope in rings for a start. The markings are backwards. It's not an iphone flipped photo problem, as the scope is pointed the same direction as most marketing material, ocular lens to the left, objective to the right. If ocular lens is in front of you, and the objective away from you, the "crossfire ii" markings should be on the left hand side with a vortex logo on the left side opposite where the windage turret is, in this example its reversed and is missing very obvious markings across the top of the ocular housing.

The flip side of this... Several times I have had a teammate on a barricade or something in a much better position to throw a smoke grenade than me. I have called "oi mate", clearly showed him the smoke grenade and gently thrown it underarm so they can pop the smoke. Free pyro! Great right? Smoke out and we all advance across the bridge or open area. No... They promptly run away and get shot thinking I had somehow got behind them covered them for fun and decided to taunt them with the means in which I would end them.

  18. G&P MP5 flashlight handguard - only to realise it's not a direct fit on G&G MP5s so I had to do a bit of scuffed DIY. Put it on my current MP5 as the other one is currently in pieces to replace the cocking handle. It looks like it's pitched at an angle in the picture but it's not something I noticed when fitting it. When the other MP5 is back together, i'll have a look at shimming it so it's level but i'm just happy that I managed to get it to fit. @WompRat This may be of interest to you. The problem with the G&P handguard is that it's missing the little 'hook' that latches onto the receiver to stop it being pulled off. You can buy the CYMA triple railed handguard and it also has this little hook piece as seen below: This little piece is just screwed into the bottom of the rail. I took that out and had to dremel a screwhole into the G&P handguard and attach the hook on the inside. It's a bit awkward to measure and I got it wrong the first time so there's an extra hole in the bottom of the handguard now - oops. When you get it right, it hooks right in and is rock solid on the gun. If you need me to measure where the screwhole is, let me know.

When you chucked the grenade did it fail to go off? And when you say "dummy grenade" do you mean a typical airsoft pyro or something that looks like a grenade but is inert? To me (uninitiated newbie) if a "grenade" lands near me and doesn't go off it may as well be a tennis ball or an apple and i wouldn't think of it as a kill. In the same way if you aim at a player and pull the trigger but your gun's empty and no BB comes out the barrel then you haven't hit them. If they then aim and fire at you, and their BB does hit you, you're dead. I may be completely wrong, but that's my take. What do you do if an Irishman throws a grenade at you? Pull the pin out and throw it back. ??‍♂️

  31. Bottom line - you called yourself out Adding a knife kill because you were grumpy makes you the dickhead of your own story Once you have called yourself out then you are out until you - exit the game & re-enter, respawn, get healed or an authorised person such as a Marshall declares you a live player Grenade elimination rules can vary widely, indoors the trend is that within a confined space (AKA not a giant room) all are eliminated unless they get out or get behind hard cover (in some rules soft cover could be defined as hard cover - such as herris fencing with a tarp over it if that is defined a wall etc) So without further information it is fair that you failed to get a grenade kill (they went to cover) and that a grenade kill succeeded against you (confined space) He may have been laughing that he was making a distraction throw but you called yourself out on a non-detonation (of your own grenade) Many things can be used as a distraction, eg if he threw a thing to distract you then run in and shoot you It’s still down to you that you misinterpreted the noise and called yourself out (The solution to misinterpreted noise of a heavy impact grenade on a hard surface is to not use them, but to use general disposable pyro with flag & bang) The other matter is that it is the general standard to leave other players gear alone - reusable grenades, discarded magazines, guns etc - I often put down my gun if I want to make a directed throw around a corner etc There is a level of common sense, in that if the object is in the way, could be a lost object etc - in which case you put it aside to a safer spot, to a marshal etc, bring it back to the safe zone etc I normally carry my empties but may stack them up, and one magazine alone may look lost, or I may have actually dropped it He was in the wrong to throw back your grenade, but an educational experience was ruined by the dead man’s knife kill

Hi again, In the nicest possible way is there someone that can actually help me with my ACTUAL question. I made clear in the original post my previous setup was run for 4 years. Could it be equipment for range loss? Yes. But that’s also not the question I’m asking. Ive already bought the other radio and I’m asking for recommendations about what PTT and downlead combo would be best to use around the setup. I know how to setup the frequency already, I just want recommendations on what I’ve asked lol.

  39. Agree, I don't condone such terms within the parameters of "banter", it's connotations far outweigh any possible attempt at humour. I could have deleted it, or issued a warning, but I think there's more benefit in other members correcting the person who bandied it about than me policing every hurty word, there's only so many hours in the day lol. Plus, my comment you've just quoted wasn't in reference to the N word, but rather the comments on the guys actual sales threads.

  40. Yup, it's a common issue. Airsoft "STANAG" mags can have significant differences in dimensions, particularly the location of the feed. For example, one of my Specna mags vs the 'Nam style shortie mags that I use when I'm DMRing. Knowing this, I determined that I needed to add 1mm on the front of the shortie mag with tape/velcro, and as a consequence, shave 0.5mm off the back. Notice that the Specna also has a conical feed lip, while the shortie has a vertical one, so I also gave mine a slight bevel with a dremel. Observe, measure, and modify.

  47. Hey guys, I've had 3 reports regarding respect & bullying, while I think some members bring it on themselves with their absurd prices, the forum rules are fairly specific about respect & perceived bullying, something that can't be tolerated. There is only one thread where sales threads from anywhere can be discussed, & if needed, the piss ripped out of them, WITHIN REASON, & that thread is here, on Macks. On this occasion I'm not going to issue warnings to anyone, but I will ask you all to familiarise yourselves with the rules, especially the snippets below which seem especially relevant here. I will also speak to the reportee, who needs to be aware there is generally "no smoke without fire", & he's definitely fanning the flames lol. Be nice to other forum users Treat others as you would like to be treated to yourself. There is absolutely no need to be abusive on these forums. If you are then your posts / topics will be edited or deleted, you may be given a warning, you may get your account suspended, and persistent offenders will be banned. Be Constructive If you don't have something constructive to add to a thread then don't post at all. This applies especially in the "Classifieds" section, if you have something to say, PM it to the seller. Comments like "good luck with the sale" or "nice gun" are also not appreciated. Thread bashing/trolling There will be some posts or threads in the forum that you may not like. If you dislike somebody's thread or some of the people participating in the discussion simply don't bother reading or replying to it. Posting/trolling in it with the sole purpose of having it closed (bashing) will not be tolerated.

There was a guy in the room playing the VIP (who was part of the organisation team) who saw the whole thing. He seemed entirely disinterested by it - in fact when I tried to bring him into the conversation, he remained resolute in his silence. I spoke to one of the proper marshals later, who agreed touching other pyro a no-no and was quick to point out he'd mentioned it in the brief but by this time I'd forgotten what the player who did it looked like. 49. I had a bit of a scorcher yesterday playing at RIFT's reopening of the Ridge (until it truly closes again). The booking page was open about there being no hot food available on the day so we were advised to bring our own food along - the cooking facilities were reserved for Redcon. Bottled water along with canned and hot drinks were available along with some snacks. The host also ran the White Sphere Tactical pop-up shop with a Specna Arms replica of an HK 416 being the prize for the Sunday raffle. The land owner had removed the portaloo so we had to make do with a single chemical camping toilet in a tipi tent. There were no feral players so nobody made a crime scene of the toilet and didn't clean up behind themselves. With the lack of rain recently, the ground was mostly dry with some clay dust being blown about by the wind. There were still a few spots where there was deep wet clay you could lose your boots in if they weren't laced up properly. A couple of rentals got a gentle reminder to limit their full auto shooting to a 2 second burst and there was one player who rightly got two bollockings and a final warning for taking off his eye pro in the gaming area. About 70 players were split into Blue and Red teams. The morning "Total War" session had Blue vs Red team dropping their opponent's flag and keeping theirs raised/raising theirs at the bases across the site. Blue was able to gain an advantage early both through strategy and an imbalance of players as several Red players returned to the safe zone early to hydrate so they could pin Red team to its starting and forward respawns within the first hour. In the interest of keeping the game alive, Blue team agreed to fall back to allow Red team to push again but Blue team was more organised and had a sizeable group of players who maintained a strong strategy and communications. Some players were switched in an effort to offer some balance ahead of the afternoon session, also forced by some players sitting out either entirely for the afternoon or for the final game as the heat took its toll on some of the players. The afternoon was two 50 minute games. First, Red team were attacking with the objective of recovering gold bricks from 3 locations and returning to their HQ (different area from their respawn) where after 25 minutes, Blue were allowed to attack Red's HQ and drop their flag. Red team could raise their flag again provided they weren't hit in the process but if they failed to do that by the end of the 50 minutes, their score would be nullified - the flag was kept up at as the whistle blew. For the second 50 minute game, the roles were reversed so Blue team attacked and outscored Red with the gold bricks collected and returned to HQ within the first half so Red team was forced to attack Blue team's HQ and drop and keep down the flag by the end of the game to nullify Blue team's collection. I didn't actually catch if Blue successfully defended their HQ or not but I'm under the impression they did and thus won the afternoon session. It was a very hot but good day of play without much (that I could see or hear) bickering between opposing sides. I fielded a Specna Arms SA-G12 EBB as my primary with a WE Hi-Capa 4.3 as my sidearm.
