  1. This is a project my team has been building since may 2024, you can follow it's progress on Instagram @K42Killhouse We originally visited the site as they offered a 100m range you can book in lanes and just plink and dial in your rifle ect which was perfect for our team to just have a shoot and a catch up When the owner approached me and asked what additions he could add to the site in terms of airsoft I jokingly said "Build a killhouse" and then he said "OK" Shit, now we have to build a killhouse ? So since june/July 2024 we have been designing and chatting and gathering materials and on our weekends free have been building this between the 5 of us with some help from others occasionally We ran out beta test yesterday which involved Metal Ops and Titan Group who really enjoyed the day I need to add, this is Not a typical airsoft skirmish site nor is it a CQB arena, you CANNOT book a walk on spot The killhouse is a hire only facility where your team can hire it out in 3 hour slots or an all day slot to practice running drills, clearing rooms and scenarios, we say it's best to book in 10/12 people and you plan what you do with your time but we found it best to hone in your skills with your own team then the next ttine you rock up to a site you easily flow through buildings communicating with your team We also aim to also put on events in the future for companies to put on training days The costs are £150 for 3 hours for a team up to 10/12 people (£15 each) £400 for an 8 hour all day slot for a team of up to 10/12 people (£40 each) Please check out the Instagram page for build media and recent photos The site will progress, I aim to fill it with random furniture, build a kitchen, beedroms ect lv_0_20250427154537.mp4

  8. My AEP is in its component pieces, awaiting yet another Quixotic attempt to make it usable. As stock, they're all about 0.4J / 200fps with 0.2g, maybe a fraction more. As noted, the semi auto trigger response is poor, even when running them on lipo. The cheaper ones that come with nimh batteries have truly dreadful semi response, and given that they're only really usable in CQB due to the low energy, you'll always be at a big disadvantage in any snap-shot duel. They do work, after a fashion, but you'll always be disappointed with them.

  10. Oh absolutely, and that's why i have many and always carry one in games, but the choice between spending £60 on a crap one and going without, i'd save the money.
    2 points
  11. Well that's not true. AEP has ongoing costs in needing to charge batteries and the fact that rechargable batteries have finite charging cycles so they will need to be replaced in time. Consumables are part of play, some are just more overt than others. I don't even think AEP is worth it as a stop-gap "solution" because they're barely better than when I used one 20+ years ago. If anything, I'd say the gap between AEP and GBBP is greater now than it was back then. The other ongoing cost you perhaps haven't considered is depreciation. AEP is undesirable on the brand new market, even more so in the used market as the battery may be in poor charging health and getting spares may be a pain. If I can be so bold to speak for the other respondents, we're saying this because all of these criticisms of AEP are like cases where we've seen no shortage of people who despite advice given to them, they went ahead anyway and bought something they went on to really dislike and became more frustrated trying to resell it.

  14. Sunday was spent at Finmere, which happened to the the first site I ever played at, at the site's first ever airsoft games, donkeys years ago when I was a spotty teenager. Games only run monthly so I've been waiting for the a pass from the wife on a game weekend to go. Turns out one of the other OG's is now running the place - we recognised each other - he's clearly super passionate about it ... and it certainly shows! Safe to say the place is expertly run with plenty of marshals who are in constant communication, and is attended by a decent bunch of very honest players. There were 1-2 bulletproof betties as there always are but they're very much the exception not the rule. It's a pretty big site but the game design on the day - basically a big control point affair - was such that you could get into a scrap without too much walking about. They used a 2 armband medic rule where players waiting to be medic'd can talk and call out intel to teammates which actually works surprisingly well and means your epic last stand against overwhelming odds gets an audience. I had a fantastic firefight holding off a village area with a couple of teammates against what felt like half the enemy team, it was a great 360 affair with them flanking us on all sides, a well timed pyro had a bunch of them waiting to be medic'd and calling out our positions so we had to keep shifting about, and eventually we got picked off and ran out of medic armbands. Lots of "good shot mate" and "ohh lucky there' from the half dead spectators on both sides. It was proper fun. Downsides... the terrain is a bit basic & everyone is limited semi auto only (pathetic!) but safe to say I'll be joining what looks like a large band of regulars down there whenever I get a free pass for a sunday & recommend anyone who can make it go check it out

  15. Nightmare. I got an email from them on Friday telling me they had them and they had posted mine out. I received it on Saturday. I just assumed they had received a bunch and had sent them out, but they must have only got a couple in. I’m guessing they’re sending them out in order of who ordered first. Just waiting on my steel slide and barrel being delivered. They’re on there way from Sixmm, hopefully arriving in the next week or so.

  18. I heard a rumour from IWA at the G45 & G45 MOS sales were outstripping every other model and glock were considering reducing all the models that competed with the G45 MOS. Did put much weight in it as it was pub talk. Sounds like my friend might have been speaking some truth. In other news (with the help of Facebook translate) it sounds like the new batch of G17.5s might ship in Japan soon. Maybe on 2nd May?in

  19. I'll say its better to get an extra magazine for your rifle than go for an AEP. I used to carry a pistol too but only used it a couple of times at all and the hassle of prepping it and clearing after a game was almost not worth it. Only snipers and DMR truly need a secondary. I still think the Raven is good enough to get a feel for their use without breaking the bank but if you can't even afford gas then best forget the idea until you have more money collected.

    Cyma M14 stock removal

Nope. It's literally just the trigger guard that holds it all in. You'll need to slide the upper forward to clear the front end of the stock from the end plate by the front sight then angle it all upwards to clear the motor. The battery wires WILL snag inside the stock but that's all part of the joy of owning a Cyma M14! I am assuming of course that you have one like this: and not one like this: Because that's a whole other ball game!

  21. I use a variety of DMRs - AEG, and gas. I have the SSX303 - out the box I quickly found it totally uplayable due to wild inconsistency and rapid drop off in power with cool-down of the mags. Now I have an Airtac shotgun shell HPA adapter in it+ a tridos hop arm to tighten up the accuracy, and it is really superb. Almost silent with a silencer on it too. But - I have just as much fun with an AEG DMR. With the Cyma SR25 it is extremely easy to mechanically semi lock it by adding a large washer between the gearbox and the receiver, held in place by sliding the rear body pin through it. it works by restricting the movement of the selector plate, and is 100% reversible too. Its a long heavy beast though....

  22. "AEP's" with the Tokyo Marui "CMG" gearbox in them, so the MP7's / MAC 10's, can have work done on them to make them damned good (Kingdom of Airsoft in Scotland can do this / sell parts, but is it worth buying a £200 AEP and spending another £200 or so on it?). My son's has a CYMA AEP with a MOSFET in it and my God the trigger response was still terrible, it was the first airsoft item he ever sold on. @Twist under very specific circumstances an AEP can be used in a skirmish, if you're well hidden so see the enemy first and they can't see you, but the real downside is the awful trigger response so you'll never win in a one to one firefight (the AEP trigger delay is enough for a good GBBP player to fire and duck a little).

  23. I would warn against Raven pistols. I have never heard a good review on them that wasn't paid for in Airsoft International If you want a cheap pistol, I will echo @EDcase on the second one though. An ASG or STTI mk23 with a hop rubber upgrade (I like 4uantum or Flamingo rubbers) and a hadron h-arm goes incredibly hard for about £80 all in, but my experience with them just out of the box is pretty lacklustre; my STTI mk23 barely hit 30m out of the box, but a hop rubber and h-arm or h-plate solved that immediately and they're not expensive upgrades. For a GBB, the Action Army AAP-01 is really good for the price too and will be fine out of the box and even have full auto, though without upgrades I'd caution against using the full auto as the sears tend to shatter if you use full auto too much. Plus all consistency goes out of the window when you flick the brrrrttt switch. AEPs are usually not worth it, and that's coming from someone who owns a TM mp7 and an ASG scorpion, both of which are built like AEPs but a little bit bigger. When it comes to pistols, even the more expensive Cyma mosfet ones are underwhelming, and they're probably the best ones available. You won't get much more than 0.5J out of it, it won't hop anything heavier than a .25 and you'll probably get about 30m range, maybe 40m for a higher end one. My TM mp7 is larger than a regular AEP and costs about £250 new and that just about floats .28s out to 45m. I don't think I'd ever buy an AEP pistol; even my little AEP SMGs barely get any use.

  24. Out of interest, which G&G model caught your eye? I wouldn't avoid the brand though depending on the model you buy, can can get more out of your hard-earned. Have you looked at the Double Eagle M904/M906 series? The former looks like it's being phased out for the latter to replace it and it is much less expensive but the M904 was regarded was an AEG that gave (and still gives) really good value for money.

  29. Given he mentions the forend costing £100+ so it would stand to reason if he'd dropped quadruple that on the optic it'd be worth mentioning in the ad? The paint job as always is a marmite thing, regardless of how much it cost to get done for many buyers it may well be value subtracting as something they'd immediately want to remove.

Seller wants £200 where the only photo is an M4 being used at Skirmish Wycombe but nothing to hint the listing itself is legitimate. Bank transfer only because he's allegedly been scammed. 33. I didn't get out of the safe zone today at Worthing Airsoft. The rifle that I let my friend borrow was... really dirty as it turns out. Took it on the range and my shots were going everywhere, so I had to take it apart, give the hop rubber and barrel a good clean and make sure the grub screws that held the barrel in were nice and tight as they were loose and the barrel was moving. Once I did all of that, got it properly set up and chrono'd, it was basically lunch time and I couldn't be bothered to get all my kit out to go and play for the afternoon, however it was shooting really nicely again once I did all that; though it was hard to properly zero because it was quite breezy today. Also, my newly upgraded, but very old Bell 1911 worked really well with the new upgrades, though with how cold it was this morning it struggled to get through a magazine with that tiny gas reservoir...

  38. First thing I thought was it's a scam, who in their right mind would present an ad in the belief it was worth that money, & then rely on that text, even if English wasn't your first language you'd find a way to describe it accurately , even if you just copy & pasted the descriptions from the various retailers websites it all originated from ?

  39. He wants nearly £700 and can't write his own description with concrete specs? Are the mags possibly leaking? Is the eye protection possibly only rated for dust and not Z87/EN166 safety? Is the tactical vest possibly one of those cheap Amazon jobbies?

  48. Going rate is more like £400 with that many WE mags, if and only if, its had all the things done to it (Steel FCG, but not the WELL crap, replaced hop rubber/inner barrel, NPAS'ed etc). As this seemingly has none of that, its probably worth more like £200-250.
