Urgh, the typical mess. The finding is that they are readily convertible, and they are being actively converted and used for murder-death-kills, so I see no reason why possession would (or should) be lawful right now. My interpretation is that it's a Home Office policy to not prosecute over them yet. But the police - as a core Peelian principle - should operate on what the law says, independent of policy. You might not get prosecuted, but that doesn't mean that you won't get arrested and have your home turned upside down: the process is the punishment. So I'd agree with destroy-and-retain now, or go and talk to your local cop shop and see if they'll take it now and issue a receipt, given that you might be asked to prove your innocence later.3 points

Certain Blank Firing Guns are now illegal in the UK.

What do you expect from a government who's leader was overlooking the cps case against a certain Jimmy Saville, & said there were no grounds for prosecution ? Next it'll be certain pcp air rifles, after that, who knows ?3 points -

Cannonfodder and one other reacted to novioman for a topic
Had the same with air cartridge guns, no compensation and hand them in unless you want to put them on FAC, what happened, 60-80 thousand went underground according to Home Office figures. Same will happen here. The majority of owners who aren’t on forums or buy newspapers won’t even know about the amnesty unless they put out a lot of TV & radio messages to warn owners.2 points -

TM hi capa factory parts
Tackle reacted to emilianoksa for a topic
These aren't always as easy to get hold of as you might think. Which is strange when you consider that the TM hi capa is probably the most customised airsoft pistol there is. I know Ebog Designs sell off parts left over after builds, as did Elite Shooting Centre, but Hi Capa Hub doesn't appear to, and there are very few oem parts on second had forums. Can anybody recommend a site I may not have come across?1 point -

IF YOU OWN ANY BLANK FIRERS READ THIS.. As of now the UK Government as banned the ownership of Blank Fire Guns deemed easy to convert to live fire. This affects Retay, Ekol, Ceonic, ISSC and Blow. If you have any of these sorry but you need to get rid of it, either cut it up with and angle grinder or hand it in to the Police during the amnesty which is due to run from the 3rd to the 28th of February. Not sure of legal standing between now and them so I could cut em up if you can. Then hand the bits in as they may know. you have them. DO NOT TRY TO BE CLEVER AND HIDE THEM, IF YOU ARE CAUGHT YOU FACE PROSECUTION FOR POSSESSION OF A FIREARM AND 10 YEARS IN PRISON. https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/amnesty-for-blank-firing-guns-announced-for-early-next-year/1 point

Lidl sometimes have multipacks of things like these I got a pack a few years ago of assorted sizes, if your local one doesn’t have any in, try this place for a definite once you have the size but postage will make it super expensive https://www.accu.co.uk/shop/precision-components/circlips-retaining-rings1 point -

Yes, but Sudoku sounds funnier and catches people off guard Here we call it Harakiri I suppose you don't have access to a stock G&G mosfet unit to swap the ETU++ for and rule out any possible faults on that side eh? How are the various connectors? Solid? Wonky? Have you tried a different battery? (even better would be to try with a different motor as well)1 point

By Perun mosfet I assume you have something that plugs into the G&G trigger board, ETU++ or the older ETU Upgrade Kit. Can you confirm? For how long have you owned the RIF? G&G ETU trigger boards are notoriously flimsy and their microswitches (they have three, one for the trigger, one for the cutoff lever and one for the selector plate) tend to commit sudoku pretty frequently. Another option would be a semi-loose motor connector. Worst case the motor is getting tired1 point

The annoying thing about LMGs in the UK is that the majority of sites do not have rules where they benefit over your typical assault rifle. I know Rift allow a little increase in joule limit and a longer full auto when mounted but it also introduces an engagement range. You also have to carry a sidearm due to most sites having semi auto only areas and under 10 metres.1 point -

Is that the same one that is a team up with DCA? On paper it would be good as Lambda externals with anyone else doing internals would be great. But not at the silly price point. But even that has gone silent for a long time.1 point

I have listed the illegal ones, if unsure check with someone who knows more. Though amnesty is not till Feb they are going so may as well get em gone, then if police turn up and give you grief you can just give em a bag of bits, stop them using them for training purposes too. Afterall you're not getting any compensation, which amounts to state organised theft of property legally bought.1 point

postage for selling a rif
Rogerborg reacted to Matt Gordon for a topic
Here are the requesirements when sending a RIF through ParcelForce48 Low-powered air weapons as defined by the act (air rifles, air guns and air pistols), together with lead pellets and other airgun and airsoft projectiles, can be sent but are subject to the following conditions: These items must be sent on an express48 service only They must be sent via the Post Office only They must be presented at the counter and enhanced compensation is not available. I belive the limit for low powered air is 700fps1 point -

Ok - I get it now. Slapped into one of my guns (ICS M4, Stock 18:1 gears, Perun Hybrid with AB disabled). No modifications needed - straight drop-in. Impressive. Most Impressive. Been spamming the trigger fairly hard on an 11.1v for giggles and the motor is cold, as is the wiring and the battery. Performance on 7.4 and 11.1 is fairly similar in Semi. Can't comment on long term reliability (obvs), but as a drop-in upgrade for a bone stock gun, it certainly seems to give a trigger responsiveness and ROF performance that will keep 95% of players very happy.1 point -

Sounds like a decent plan, have you calculated the run time with the 2032’s? I get about 3 hours with a 9v1 point

I’ve done a load of these and I always wire to a separate battery, it is just easier and I am fairly convinced that by have the led lit all the time energises the bb’s a bit better. I used to do 2 LEDs each side of the hop but the last one I did was just two on one side, it was easier to wire and should last a bit longer on the 9v battery I pair them with. worth noting that there is a new tracer hop recently released that only costs about £30 and should fit most m4 receivers Some examples IMG_2999.mov IMG_2643.mov1 point

ParcelForce48 is the only postage service that officially take RIFs https://send.parcelforce.com/ Typically its around £12 for a boxed rifle1 point
