  1. I’m aware it’s colloquially convenient, but ohh boy do I get unreasonably irked by the words ‘fully upgraded’.

  2. Depends if the insurance covers it. Given the style of Zed I doubt that catering to ickle kids is on their radar (more likely to get a themed experience more akin to the zombie/post apocalypse stuff they did before).

  3. If there is enough interest, wonder if they could do de-tuned rentals (or rentals with easy change springs) or nerf or gel blasters? Growing the sport and footfall among "outsiders" would only be a good thing if parents can see that it isnt about turning over post offices given half the chance.

  4. Not "think of the children" in a bad way, more "oooo something for the kids to do" types. Fair few asking if their 8 year olds can do it etc, plus the obligatory "Why can't we have a decent clothes shop" and "could of put in a bowling alley". Pretty sure there's a good few of the non specific "boys birthdays?" questions to spouses are also going to be the ones thinking it's soft play with camo.

  5. It's all about the reach and the percentages. The Kennet Shopping Centre page has a wider audience that is interested in the general use of the site. They would be more likely to want retail opportunities because that has a wider appeal and as a result has a bigger audience. The Zed page most likely has a smaller audience but far more of them will be in favour of it hence all the likes. If you actually read some of the comments on the Kennet page you'll see that there's a lot of people who don't understand what it's about to become (all the "ooo something for the kids to do" and "can my 12 yr old come" posts) and the ones that want it to be another retail venture. I do have concerns over just how long it'll take for the complaints to start coming in about the area being awash with camo and "all that noise". Add to that just how long we'll need to wait for some nob to forget he's got a holstered pistol on and the ARU to rock up and it could get a bit tricky.

  8. Joined the SRS club, immediately pulled it apart to paint it (along with a suppressor cover). Scope mount also showed up today, looking forward to the scope arriving along with some parts for the SRS.

  9. True, everyone who tries it is a potential keeper. And there are plenty of "didn't feel it, mate" God Moders among the 3-deep-mag-stack cammers. One consideration though is that casual and one-off players are more likely to leave a bad review if they're not treated with kid gloves, so once you start down that path, it might be hard to get serious about dealing with overkill-and-teflon types.

  10. We'll see what their booking system is like and what days etc first, but I think an AFUK Zed day is well overdue. Also, a group of us on facebook have decided to call this new site: Zedenhams

    New CQB Site in Kent

Hey bud, sorry for the confusion. I have been working non-stop at work and have left the day to day to the other owner while I have projects at work. I'll give you a run down. Hextable School: From what we can tell its still empty. The council was all up for it and then pulled away last minute with no explanation. We reached out to an MP to help us out with this as we spent some money on it too. But when it came to light we wanted to play with toy "guns" in a school they just ran away. Sheppey school was sold to developers. Although we was promised use of it until Hextable was ready. We learnt that doing business with any form of government was a no go. Chathams Mount Battern house was a sure thing until it wasnt. They said yes. We said yes. We paid some fees but didnt sign anything. Council then said no we are buying it CPO (compulsary purchase order) We lost all our money back to square one. Now the new site. Its huge but its in a state, been abandoned now for 8 years or so we have agreed our terms with the private owner and we have had contractors in since the begining of Covid work was put on hold during lockdown for obvious reasons and only started back up again early August. We have had to do the following: (when we have the money to fund it) New airconditioning (due to its size and build it must have these for airflow) Removed mould from all the walls, replaced all carpets/flooring due to dampness and replaced all electrics that were effect Installed new lights (limited) Installed Fire escape measures (required by law) We are now on the final contractor to get working toilets working. This has led onto needing council approval to tear up the road as the pipes are sealed on the main road. This is currently ongoing and we are waiting road closure approval. (again no expert on the process of this and its with the contractor) Once the toilets are all working we will be going in to setup the site at that time we have several live feed webcams across the building streamed to the website. Snazzy. I've been asked why we are using contractors and not doing it ourselves. Well two reasons. One: is because I/we dont have that type of expertise and we want to be above legal board. Two: the building owners insisted we use approved contractors to do the work for insurance reasons. We've said it before but this is 100%. Papers are signed money is exchanging hands there is very little that can be done to stop it unless the owners pull the plug but even then they need to give us x amount of months. Cant wait to share more with you all. Platoon Stores in Rochester went and visited it with us on our last visit and they loved it. They will be providing on the onsite shop/rentals as they do at other sites across Kent. Again sorry to mess you all around but we are trying our hardest on getting this up and running asap we are aiming for October/November at the latest.

  12. Not trying to be elitist but as someone who frequents a site where you get a lot of stag party type groups, this has got to be a concern. Too many of the ones I've encountered are literally there just to piss around with BB guns, regardless of the rule-set.
