Not the best picture but sod it My team mates don’t need the Mrs to go out for that …… which reminds me of the head cam CQB room clearance footage we received on the team chat as he worked his way through the house tracking down his tango, and the look of disdain on her face when he found her sat on the sofa watching her soap

Impulse Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) Been running civvie kits all summer, but now that the leaves are falling and sight lines will open up a little, even if Worthing is still difficult to snipe at in winter with all the twiggy bits, I feel like it may be time to return to the LRRP setups. Worn with m81 (freedom and apple pie, babyyyyyyy 🦅 🦅), this is the current setup I'm going with. Will generally wear the boonie and stash the viper hood and cap in the bag as an "if I need it" kind of thing. Will also carry scrim net for the rifle to break up the solid black colour and using elastic bands to secure it allows me to add some natural vegetation as well. I'm not painting that beautiful piece of airsoft history and while I have a ghillie rifle wrap, I like taking the real-steel approach of "do not use any camo that impedes the workings of the rifle" which ghillie wraps very much tend to do; the number of times the ghillie material flaps up in front of the scope while I'm trying to aim I swear to God... Repro invisio earpiece, cam cream, rangefinder, compass, elastic bands/hair ties and binos also in the kit, but not included in the picture because I forgot. Also carry BBs, gas, another canteen of water and sometimes some snacks in the backpack as well, often using it as a rifle rest instead of the bipod once I get into a spot. I also might remove the right-side pistol mag pouch and leave it empty, as it resides just above the pistol when the holster is attached to my trouser belt. Quick-draw pistol access isn't needed for this type of kit, and I feel like having the extra magazines might be more worth it, but I need to see in game how it feels. The pistol does clear the kit fairly easily, but it's ever so slightly in the way. The pistol also changes depending on my mood between the HK45, 1911, p226, hi-capa, AAP-01 and mk23, but at the moment I'm feeling the immersive suppressed .45 (it's a subsonic round, so a suppressor actually works decently well on the real thing, and I prefer the GBB HK45 over the NBB mk23, especially for sniping) Backup rifle tends to be my 16" SRS as it's small, light and easy to pack and bring to a game day. I never plan on using it, but it's good to have a reliable backup that I can just throw in without worrying about having to tune it for the weather like I do with the m24. However, this kit can do all of my MWSs as well (those double .308 mag pouches fit 3x MWS mags nicely) so it basically covers all of the rifles that I use between my m700s and MWSs, plus my backup SRS and MTW, and hopefully next year will include a GBBR m21 build. PopRocket123 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 With the winter months closing in I got the single most important piece of kit. A waterproof. It actually works pretty well and should keep my kit, my optics, and most importantly, me nice and dry without getting in the way too much. I am going to sew some velcro in to the inside of the hood so that it sticks to my cap though 20251008_201057~2.mp4 ButcherBill, HZR13, Nick G and 1 other 4

Sifu Steve Posted October 10 Posted October 10 58 minutes ago, tside said: How's the bizon performance wise? Such a fun looking replica I love it, but I've wanted one for about 25 years. This one's on the gun picture thread as I finally finished it this week. It's Cyma, but one of their more expensive models, so as stock it performs as well as you'd expect. Obviously, the real niche is the magazine. Reloading takes some drilling but I've got it down to about 5-6 seconds now (mag out, new mag in, old mag in pouch). The low-caps hold about 190 BBs and I tend to run 4 + 1 hi-cap backup (~1000). Magazine storage seems to be an issue for many but I repurposed my P90/UMP double mag pouches and they're perfect. Ergonomically, it's well balanced, heavy (full metal) and the chunky 'foregrip' of the magazine feels great in my clown-sized hands 😄. I completely removed the stock on mine as a preference for airsoft, but it can be operated with the stock folded usually. Accessories are limited, even by AK standards. I had to fit the 2 front side rails myself using a massively over-engineered improv. The shortened cover and receiver may also cause problems. Obviously, there's no front grip options. Mine's been kitted out with Zenitco repros and other Russian stuff simply for authenticity- style beats substance for me every time. All told, it's my current favourite (don't tell my KS-1 😄), but I'd certainly recommend holding one before you pull the trigger on a shopping cart, as it does seem to be a bit 'Marmite'. Sorry if that was TMI... HZR13, Lozart, Daveoc33 and 1 other 3 1

tside Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Not at all tmi more info the better I'm deciding between it and the vss from cyma to be my next addition to the armory as I run Russian kit. I reckon my rpk pouches would each fit a bizon mag. How far removed are the dimensions of the dust cover from the usual ak on in your opinion?
Sifu Steve Posted October 10 Posted October 10 2 hours ago, ButcherBill said: What about an offset grip like a Brens carry handle, I've also seen an airsoft rif with a foregrip on a canted rail. The first obstacle to overcome would be fitting rails on the heat shield as there is currently no commercially available alternate with rails. I had to go through a laborious process of finding the right-sized rail (and filing the back down), buying longer right-sized screws (3 attempts) and buying a backplate that married up to the rail (2 attempts). Even now, it's sturdy enough to support the torch, but doubtful it would stay put with a grip bearing the weight of the gun. Then you'd have to really consider why you'd want a canted grip on an airsoft SMG when the magazine grip is so comfortable. Maybe pseudo-Sterling vibes? So yes, I'd say it possible (as is attaching a grip to every magazine), but it would be a lot of work to achieve and, IMHO, not worth it. Seems like a Jurassic Park analogy would go well here. 😄 2 hours ago, tside said: Not at all tmi more info the better I'm deciding between it and the vss from cyma to be my next addition to the armory as I run Russian kit. RPK pouches are a good shout. I might look into that, cheers. I'm looking to replace the whole rig with MM-14 camo and there's a chance I might find them in that pattern. 🤔
Lyndication Posted October 11 Posted October 11 The canted grip thing is mostly a Tarkov thing that just doesn't really make any sense.
