benstorey1 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Hi all, just wondered about do people number there mags ??? And what do you use so it stays on in all weathers ???
Supporters Monty Posted January 17, 2016 Supporters Posted January 17, 2016 I do, I use this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WHITE-CAR-TYRE-MARKER-PAINT-PEN-TIRE-METAL-PERMANENT-UK-SELLER-BRAND-NEW-/161648699732?hash=item25a3036954:g:gxAAAOSweW5VEIld
PeteS Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Tip ex pen for me. Comes off after a while, I just consider the touch up to be routine maintenance.
Root Admin proffrink Posted January 17, 2016 Root Admin Posted January 17, 2016 Acrylic marker here. Monty 1
Airsoft_Mr B Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I had a paint pen that I got from graff city, also used a Sharpie before which I think does the trick.
Aengus Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Seen people do this but fail to see the point of it?
Mostly Retired Moderators djben9 Posted January 17, 2016 Mostly Retired Moderators Posted January 17, 2016 as above, why would you number your mags?, curious now!!......i have though written done on the lipo boxes use/charges so i share the pain with them and not keep using the same one...
EvilMonkee Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Cos sometimes some mags feed better than others - my GHK mags for instance and its handy to know which is which Jedi_Master 1
Mostly Retired Moderators djben9 Posted January 17, 2016 Mostly Retired Moderators Posted January 17, 2016 I see, good point thinking about it I did mark my 45rd ones on bottom as cant tell difference between them and others at times!
Supporters Monty Posted January 17, 2016 Supporters Posted January 17, 2016 Seen people do this but fail to see the point of it? Incase you load your gun with an empty magazine.
PeteS Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I personally do it just to look more operator. I do however tape the bottom of my MP5 mags with coloured tape for a reason. I own about 12 MP5 mags and they wont all fit in each MP5 I own. So I tape them with blue to show universal or no tape for Classic Army only.
Supporters Nutster Posted January 17, 2016 Supporters Posted January 17, 2016 Mine are initialled/numbered incase I drop one (which I have done) so I can get it back (which I nearly didn't )
Supporters ImTriggerHappy Posted January 17, 2016 Supporters Posted January 17, 2016 I personally do it just to look more operator. Has anyone found an emoticon for condescending headshake yet?

Supporters ImTriggerHappy Posted January 17, 2016 Supporters Posted January 17, 2016 There's an eyes rolling : rolleyes : (no spaces)Yeah but thats a happy smiling, eyes rolling type of thing. I am thinking more on the lines of total and utter scorn, you know that look that says the world would of been a better place if daddy had pulled out. Aengus, Nutster and Talltom 3
shortman Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 you know that look that says the world would of been a better place if daddy had pulled out. Absolutley cryed at that!! Epic! ImTriggerHappy 1
Head Moderator Jedi_Master Posted January 17, 2016 Head Moderator Posted January 17, 2016 I have mine labled so that I know the order of usage: "First", "Second", "Third", "Fourth - Reload mags". Plus "Hi-Cap" so I do not turn itupside down in pouch/pocket. I have a shave before games to make me look like a 'smooth operator' ImTriggerHappy and djben9 2
albawarrior Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Hell to be as operator as i can I dont wear the rear plate in my armour as I dont plan on being shot in the back running away....... PeteS 1
Bottledtorment Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I do it so that when I'm running mags if they break mid game I can shove it in the dump pouch and worry about later. Rather than trying all my mags when I get home.
PeteS Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Yeah but thats a happy smiling, eyes rolling type of thing. I am thinking more on the lines of total and utter scorn, you know that look that says the world would of been a better place if daddy had pulled out. You seem to have my comment very personally. Are you alright, is everything ok, wanna borrow some bb's or something? lafta, ImTriggerHappy, Aengus and 1 other 4
Supporters ImTriggerHappy Posted January 18, 2016 Supporters Posted January 18, 2016 You seem to have my comment very personally. Are you alright, is everything ok, wanna borrow some bb's or something?Haha no your ok, thanks for offer though very kind.☺I just have a massive upchuck reflex to the word operator. People who try to act all tacticool operator are worse than chavs. Actually thats a good thread; Are the people who claim to be OPERATOR the chavs of airsoft? Jedi_Master 1
Supporters Esoterick Posted January 18, 2016 Supporters Posted January 18, 2016 Incase you load your gun with an empty magazine. I have a system for that: The ones without BBs in them are empty ImTriggerHappy and albawarrior 2
Supporters Monty Posted January 18, 2016 Supporters Posted January 18, 2016 I have a system for that: The ones without BBs in them are empty That also works pretty effectively
Mr Monkey Nuts Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I have my go mags numbered so I know which are spent or not and so I can rotated them to get even wear. Can't see much point in doing so for Aeg mags though. Monty 1
Head Moderator Jedi_Master Posted January 19, 2016 Head Moderator Posted January 19, 2016 I have my go mags numbered so I know which are spent or not and so I can rotated them to get even wear. Can't see much point in doing so for Aeg mags though. One advantage of numbering / marking all of your mags is for identification if dropped or misplaced. It is not just another black AEG magazine but one you can describe and identify if handed in. Some players use coloured tape to ID mag weights or capacity, I find that the letter 'H' helps highlight the hi-cap one amidst the low/real-caps. Each of us have a method to our madness. Sacarathe 1
