  1. ICS light handguard for MP5. Strike systems low profile rail mount and a Gbase 1x30 dot sight also for an MP5. Also bought a single TM mag, but alas it didn't fit my ICS.
  2. I just read it, I wouldnt be to worried personally. I remember it briefly coming up on a course once and the teacher informing us if you were qualified no one could ever successfully sue you. Can you imagine the ramifications if it ever became an acceptable thing? I have given first aid 3 times in the last 4-5 years. Putting an arm in a sling is 1 thing, giving CPR to someone who with a 1% chance, who is covered in blood and sick, is another. It's a traumatic enough experience as it is. If I ever saved anyone and they tried to sue me I'd be horrified.
  3. This isn't true, where did you read this? Being qualified through a recognised organisation means you can't be sued for attempting to save anyone.
  4. Unless you got the angle spot on they wouldn't slot in correctly. The magazines would still lock into the gun but wouldn't be sitting quite high enough to feed. M4 mags are obviously just a straight up push. I hope this information quenches your thirst for Sig reloading knowledge.
  5. They are cool, very M4 CQB-R but with mags requiring more practice. The only downside was the reliability of mine. I loved the thing but it's 5th trip back to Fire Support in a year and a half was enough for me to sell it in the end. Maybe mine was just a dud, ICS guns usually have a pretty solid rep.
  6. Hmm, interesting stuff. I have some Nuprol's and so far have only used them in my USP. I've had quite a few feeding issues even on a fully gassed magazine. I had put it down to gas guns being annoyingly unreliable junk, but I wonder if it was the bb's all along. I've not tried any other bb's in it, may have look into this.
  7. Nope. Went there a few times way back when though, well run little site. My favourite memory took place in the safe zone *Wavy nostalgia lines* I had unpacked with my rifle on a table. Stranger: Nice gun Me: Cheers Stranger: So, you swear by M4's too then? Me: Its a Sig 552. He walked away after that, came back at lunch insisting I try his Tar-21. He told me it was the best gun he ever had, then sold it to someone else an hour later. Very weird.
  8. You seem to have my comment very personally. Are you alright, is everything ok, wanna borrow some bb's or something?
  9. I personally do it just to look more operator. I do however tape the bottom of my MP5 mags with coloured tape for a reason. I own about 12 MP5 mags and they wont all fit in each MP5 I own. So I tape them with blue to show universal or no tape for Classic Army only.
  10. Tip ex pen for me. Comes off after a while, I just consider the touch up to be routine maintenance.
  11. For what it is it seems an ok price to me. It is afterall a purpose built CQB venue that had alot of work put into building it. The Mall on the otherhand, while it is my 'home ground' (if I were a football team), is an abandoned building with leaks, rubbish and debris in places, water logged parts etc. I keep meaning to go to Blitz, the game fee I am ok with its just the travel. £22 travel card vs £8 to get to The Mall.
  12. I'm quite liking the new grey kit worn by The Met counter terrorism unit. This months AI has a good article on exactly what they are using (based on flicking through in WH Smith, I may go buy it tomorrow).
  13. My favourite ever Airsoft memory... A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, the safe zone at Anzio in Leek, one of my buddies was yapping on about how his Ares G36 was superior to my Marui Scar. It wasn't the first time he'd done this, guy loved Ares and defending them was something he took very personally. After the first game I returned to the safe zone, he was no where to be seen. I found him in the next game rummaging through some long grass, turns out the entire barrel had just dropped out of his gun. My Scar however survived that day, and every day.
  14. Had a good time yesterday, some pretty lengthy fire fights which was exciting. I spent the final 15 minutes of the last game waiting for the Orange team to mount a big final offensive on Peacocks, which never came. I couldn't work out where 80% of that team went, it was a bizarre finish.
  15. I have a PTS, real great gun. Strong recoil, bolt release function works perfectly, mags are resonably priced and rock solid construction. Easily as good as my TM SOPMOD. Mine was doing 380fps out the box though so get the shop to check yours before shipping.
  16. Indeed he was! As was myself, although I am less memorable. I will be there again on the 3rd. DPM trousers, random athletic t-shirt, MP5 or USP in hand. I will be the guy who gets about 5 shots off all game, 1 may hit someone.
  17. CA: Pro- Pulled off some pretty great long range shots even with stock set up.Body feels durable. -Hop works very well. -Takes all TM compatible internal upgrades Cons - Navy fire selector can be a bit wobbly. -Every so often it misfires -Stock springs make stupid twangy noise ICS: Pro- Just a solid all rounder, solid body but a bit lighter than CA Cons- Never fires the first shot or 2, regardless of mags. I've had 2 ICS MP5s that do this. -Hop up can be knocked out of place kinda easily ICS won't take CA mags although ICS mags fit CA. Both have bodies slightly wider than the TM so a lot of rails don't fit on top of it. Honestly neither are bad options, my ICS is my gun of choice for CQB. I reckon the VFC would be a good bet if you have £300 spare. I may make a Youtube comparision when I get a chance
  18. I used to live in Wilmslow, played a few games at Trojan Stockport. Quite liked the site, well marshalled and generally a good environment.
  19. Evo's are nice. I fired a real one a few months back and the AEG version is pretty bang on in terms of feel. I must confess that I would have gone with the MP7 though, love those little things.
  20. Hmm, both have pros and cons. If I had to pick I'd say get the CA with SEF fire selector. Navy selectors can be a bit wobbly, but there isn't much between them at all.
  21. I currently own an ICS MP5 and a Classic Army MP5SD, previously owned, and regrettably sold, a TM MP5K. Over all there wasn't much to choose between them. CA externals feel a bit more heavy duty I guess but overall they all look/feel do the same job. Never tried a G&G (hear only great things so maybe after Christmas) or the VFC aegs. All mags (except SRC) seemed to fit the Marui, but as mentioned above, can be annoying with other brands. Also worth noting TM uppers are a tad smaller than ICS and CA so alot of top rails won't fit those 2. In short though ICS, CA, TM, G&G, VFC all appear to make pretty solid MP5's, so just buy them as I do and get whatever looks coolest or meets your skirmish needs.
  22. Yep same. Took my USP to The Mall yesterday and the performance was hit and miss. That'll be because it was damn cold there I expect. I tried it today on winter gas and abbey red and it worked perfectly. Sadly gas guns and the cold is not a productive mix.
  23. Never got the hate for Bunker51. Had some good games there in the past. I may go again in the new year as its been so long. Anyway, I will be at The Mall tomorrow. Just finished packing/charging/testing/watching Embassy siege footage.
  24. I work as a Strength & Conditioning coach, I have coached people for lots of sports and a few for military service. I was toying with the idea recently about making a few Youtube videos on fitness for Airsoft or writing an article for Airsoft action if they wanted it. At the end of the day, the fitter you are the more capable an airsofter you are. Not always a better airsofter, but you broaden your abilities.
  25. I have a 416 sitting next to me with all those upgrades carried out by Fire support. Its actually my brothers I have on 'loan' but as far as I am aware he has never had any issues with it. I am sure you'll be safe, Fire support know what they are doing.
