  1. I've given mine to my better playing son I'm so not worthy of it as I shoot like a blind squealing little girl trapped in an ol' farts body hence I still use the starter guns too.... If I was using a higher end gun I really would have no excuse why I can't hit anything always blame the gun/tools etc..... nah - I friggin' crap at this but wtf I still enjoy it being cannon fodder for pro's ( and rental noobs - jjjeeeeeez I suck)
  2. Gun, bb's, battery, eyepro & a friendly chilled not too stressed out attitude is all ya need rest is optional
  3. new number as it is related to your usual/regular site your old ukara started differently so if ya done ya 3 visits n stuff just ask them to update or issue you with new number no biggy I'm sure loads n loads of peeps have done this over time or when old sites closed etc.... if you are buying something from a UK retailer - you don't HAVE to have ukara details the regged ukara site can just vouch for ya - how I bought my first RIF from ProAirsoft but in the end my site got its ukara finger out and entered me on database a bit later (guy that dealt with admin crap just returned from hols but eventually sorted it all out)
  4. poor bastid - you will end up probably buying more than "just one more gun dear" alas you sound a little like moi - end up keeping most of your stuff (or crap as the other half calls it) thus to attain true hapiness is to say - ahh wtf lets get another to help make my final decision as to which gun I really like..... welcome to the saddo toy gun club
  5. I have a D68 in bits - uhmm no surprise there you may say (no I have stripped it for fitting a proper v3 box like the AK12 but not finished putting box together for it) but a high rof or dsg or hpa b500a1 would be absolute epic to wipe a smug grin off somebody's face/mask I got too much crap n bits around but one day - one day that will have to be done for ultra $hits n giggles
  6. Bloody hell...... Toy Gun holding...... Sharing BB love...... Yoda StormTroopers & Star Wars stuff...... Look guys - I'm with ya on all of this but if our other halves or anybody else from the real world reads this I'm starting to realise how really f*cking sad we all are !!!!!! yup fine by me - carry on chaps
  7. oooouch bit harsh - ya AGGA cow (seriously considering a B500A1 hpa project now to bring to Mall)
  8. it is worth getting ya hands on a gun - ooh having a touchy feely fondle ahem getting carried away there - hold a gun, point n aim, get to use it if possible wise words from Okto eight..... I was kinda guessing you had maybe hired a G36 to aquire ukara so got used to 'em or liked 'em but many think they want this n that but reality is many find out later their must have gun is not for them (very true with bolt snipers - often many return to regular aeg's) M4's - G&G's are a safe bet but they are the Fords of airsoft - still very easy to just grab n use AK's - Cyma's are very good makes, very popular but me personally find the M4 fire selector easier to use G36 - JG and some others - probably the usual hire gun, good little all rounder and ambi selector for lefty/right handed the above 3 have popular 300-500rnd, heck even 1,000 to 2,500 nearly 5,000 rnd mags (getting silly now) but they have higher capacity mags and usually easy/cheap to buy/borrow a mag MP5's - ambi fire selector - compact mp5k's to the more longer types, slightly lower capacity mags but very popular gun ahh crap - not gonna list all but you decide which gun floats your boat most use either a v2 or v3 gearbox and nothing too major to maintain/service/repair if you choose a more bespoke type of gun or alternative one like bullpup or m14 or a unique model then spares n stuff may be a little trickier to source easily - just pointing this out The import thing is a good option to consider if you feel that at some point you can maintain your own gun(s) Guns do wear over time - depends on quality, usage and a bit of luck - unless you just mount them on a wall for show Most peeps get a decent starter gun - just like ya first car and work upwards maybe over time. Depends on the person themselves - yes you can buy a £300 - £500 gun or an average £150 decent starter gun (The importing of Cyma/JG's at about £100 equates to a usual £150 if bought in UK as Poland heavily discount those from bulk buying) If you buy a G&G M4 or some other make like higher/mid range Krytac's then yes deffo buy from a UK retailer and have some warranty or customer service to fall back on if you are not too techy minded plus helps out local or UK retailers Alas only you can decide what you think you would like as your first gun plus like many things - no sooner you obtain your perfect gun - you see another that catches your eye - damn it Thus it can be a very addictive & slippery slope you have chosen to take up Actually - if you keep your impulsive kid in a candy store cravings under control, it ain't that bad tbh choose wisely and research a bit and you will be fine End of the day - they are just little toy guns that roughly do the same friggin' job some are better than others - some you may like and others you won't but as long as you don't buy ya toy guns from " BB " sites you will be fine (£100 guns from TWG & GF are much much better than £100 "BB" gun sites in UK)
  9. Well as the OP is the head of AGGA...... suppose - "anything that doesn't have G&G or C M on it" I did get a bit of interest in the black AK12 chock & myself did (hope you are ok sir if you are still about m8) until I told them about it and they soon lost interest - lol, ahhhh f*ck 'em I liked it ahh but it ain't a RIF stock - it is clear/2-tone well yeah in USA a WELL AK12 is black (orange flash hider) so we just gave it that Americano look
  10. To me it is like sombody asking for a spare fag/cigarette (don't smoke kids - it f*cks you up, but stupid smokers may get the idea of what I mean) yeah sure, but don't take the pi$$ or try to take me for a call you next tuesday.... Really don't bother me - ammo - batteries - even spare aeg but try n take me for a fool and keep poncing and I'll turn back into the miserable bastid I really am oh and as for - can you hold my gun.... f*ck off, prop it up against a tree or something if ya wanna squeeze ya lemon - I got my own crappy gun to hold but I wanna climb a tree.... ohhh leave off ffs - I gave up scrumping for apples/conkers decades ago - lets just shoot bb's I'll try to help out a bit but jeez even I got a limit - well except when posting bollox on here
  11. new G&G - zero one for free 2-tone Raider, CM18, BOT, SR-? range, but last 2 are getting above £150 possible 30th editions - GC16 30th, not fully railed but does have 3 mini rails to mount on do NOT consider buying from a site with BB in its name Zero One, AirsoftWorld, Airsoft Zone, Land Warrior Airsoft (LWA) plus others ICS - hmm maybe but railed ICS starter gun range is not as extensive as G&G's cost effective range could buy s/hand but a little more risky getting a good gun than a pile of junk needing TLC hence we usually recomend a new G&G for a bit of piece of mind investment please read: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/17294-ians-guide-to-noobism-on-a-tight-budget/ and other guides for loads of great important info to help get you started
  12. pre soldered ones for £9 so just over a tenner posted and no soldering iron needed perhaps http://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/trigger-switches/zci-trigger-switch-v2-front http://www.ak2m4.co.uk/zci-trigger-switch-v2-rear now depending on where ya battery is fitted - me "thinks" you are looking at maybe front wired perhaps ?? worth getting one, it could be a sticky or tight switch contacts not releasing but for a tenner get one and if needed just replace with better wiring all supplied ready to go £9 - bargain !!!!
  13. Phew - thought you was either suffering a rare tropical disease or still pi$$ed from the night before joking aside - they are quite good guns in the £150 price range
  14. LOL - think most of us "older kiddies" are doing that.... flogging off our old saddo hobbies n crap for this newer saddo hobby we are all saddo hoarding bastids - but the girls are fine with all their shoe/bag/clothes collections (that is totally different - don't try to waste your breath on trying to argue that)
  15. Well if you take him shooting - that is gonna save you about £20 to £25 if he has to hire one unless he has his own already.... but perfectly legal for YOU to GIFT him a Realistic Immitation Firearm could come in handy anyway as spare - uhm they can sometimes let you down - even some expensive ones Good starter guns are: JG - make very good G36's Cyma - make very good AK's G&G - make mofo M4's G&G's can't really be bought cheaper overseas or from poland/EU other makes can be bought much cheaper from TaiwanGun & Gunfire in Poland you got ukara so you sorted to enter details in box read up on Ians noobism guide - you will find loads of good info in there http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/17294-ians-guide-to-noobism-on-a-tight-budget/ you won't go wrong with any of those 3 types/makes but many guns from TWG or GF in poland come in hot so make sure you tell them to downgrade - FREE and yup kiss your wallet goodbye oh and the JG 608 - is £80 but would be about £150 if bought in UK
  16. mp5k - cyma over my crappy Galaxy one or Fire Hawk (not HC05), stubby or crane stock perhaps over stock tube (yeah not a smg but wtf its small & easy mags) or compact 74 with folding stock perhaps........ grab a pistol & BFG -reckon that will do most peeps (shotgun maybe as backup weapon for the loadout whores out there)
  17. 2 of these - 1 for you & 1 for ya step son http://www.taiwangun.com/en/electric-air-soft-guns/608-jg?from=listing&campaign-id=19 ask them to downgrade it to 330~350 as they are a tad hot (free downgrade) thats about 2 x £80 - £160, should leave you some dosh for mags n stuff so fill ya boots
  18. you have to remove bottom of pistol grip carefully unplug motor, note which wire - should have red going to a red spot on motor remove motor tighten up the pistol grip screws replace motor & affix wires replace bottom of pistol grip - motor plate (should be a disc maybe that sits between motor & plate) tighten & should be ok once again as the the bit in pic 1 & pic 3 - might be a AR latch release rest of it all looks normal to me
  19. They should be just normal regular deans.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Deans-Gold-Plated-Anti-Skid-Grip-T-Plug-Connector-5-Pair-Heatshrink-AO-V7-/291195530819?hash=item43cc9b2e43 only seen a very few guns on Evike than had mini deans http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-PAIRS-OF-RC-Mini-Deans-Ultra-Nylon-T-Connector-Plug-Heatshrink-Lipo-Battery-/330863597762?hash=item4d0901d8c2 and micro deans - nope they are way too tiny for any juice usage (though some peeps get mini & micro deans confused) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Deans-T-Plugs-Connector-Red-Micro-Connectors-5-Pairs-/301197085007?hash=item4620bec94f or all 3 deans sizes here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Deans-Mini-Deans-and-Micro-Deans-Type-T-Plug-RC-Connectors-UK-Seller-/361370496102?var=&hash=item54235c2c66 but they should be regular deans or T type plug - if possible get "grip" type to make is easy to unplug with wet/slippery hands
  20. hmmmmm...... what would of been interesting if he had shot the 320fps aeg into chrono The sniper/dmr was CO2 so this 25% loss at 30ft could have been down to maybe joule creep well in this case maybe joule loss on lighter bb's My own completely untested unfounded theory is the joule creepy stuff mainly applies to gas/co2 guns on heavier bb's (still think that aeg and "perhaps" hpa guns do not suffer this as it is air - but gas/co2 reacts exiting muzzle = creep) if he had got a shot on aeg 320fps and it showed 240 (75% power or 25% loss) that would add up but he didn't so we won't know for sure me thinks hop may not have been great or properly set for .20's either coz going on that maths another 30ft or 60ft = 90ft total would start to equate to 30m - ish or 30yrds and if he lost another 25% from 300fps = 225fps at 60ft and at 90ft dropping 25% off 225 - 56 = about 170fps at the aprox MED 30yrds or 30m that kinda sucks but strengthens why dmr/sniper use much heavier ammo But yeah this is a bit weird looking for dmr stats
  21. FireHawk's have battery in stock tube, and has a slightly different tube with splits to assist in fitting battery connections. tbh - stock tube battery does limit your options and all that http://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1300mah-20c-continuous-discharge-lipo-battery-136mm-long.html is something like a tube battery but please double check yourself before you order anything 7.4v lipo equates to about a 8.4v nimah but has a lot more "zest" or response consider also perhaps replacing tamiya for deans + 7.4v lipo of any sort really - maybe 20c to 25c that will all help and be fine without going too nutz
  22. your ukara entry is "tied in" or "linked" so to speak with one particular site (your regular site you might call it) that is why usually 3 visits to 1 site is the norm. it will be that 1 site that will back your ukara entry so to speak (your entry is connected with your usual or regular site) you will understand what I mean when you get ukara'd
  23. sr25 or m14 me thinks sr25 with longer v2 box sounds a good option all round most of bits be m4 easy to source/fit bits etc...... that is just my take on dmr route or leave m4 as std aeg, spend a bit on barrel/hop etc... improve range over stock - still normal so no semi only & no MED but better range
  24. sometimes people place a shim behind it to give it a bit more grip see how it goes in operation once you got the box/head problem sorted
  25. strip box check it is just head or if anything else is problem sort the issue for now - you could go nutz and do this n that but if you ain't ultra techy just one thing at a time hop can be done later - but if it works then leave it lipo's will need a new charger - say a b3 or b6 maybe these sticks might work but please check yourself http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__17287__Turnigy_nano_tech_1300mah_2S_25_50C_Lipo_AIRSOFT_Pack.html by all means have a go yourself - do it in small stages and it should go sweet (rip things to bits with loads of upgrades means more stuff to check or go wrong) if a shop is good then that might be a fall back option though just a few places are not quite as good as you might think No offense to other places who have great techies who would wipe the floor with most of us just saying the are a few no so great ones I have heard - so yeah go for it and see how you go worse case scenario - it goes pear shape so either new box or shop techy to rescue but you got it cheap so wtf have a go yourself
