  1. A friend of mine has this on his AK: http://www.dx.com/p/1x-34mm-red-green-dot-gun-sight-1-x-cr1620-113796#.VDE9NBaYi50 with an eye protector like this: http://www.dx.com/p/universal-scope-sight-rubber-cover-eye-protector-black-67064#.VDE9BRaYi50 It's a red dot, not a scope works great and looks really good.
  2. I don't know if svd mount and the AK mount are compatible. If yes, then maybe this: http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?search_From=category&item=OT-DS-SVD-RG&search=special&rs=Dot%20Sights&catid=&cat=&view_choice=a
  3. I haven't had any but I have read that the cobra replicas are pretty bad.
  4. I have bad experience with evike and EU shipping. They only tell you the postage cost after you have payed for the product and the cost is outrageous.
  5. Is 310 - 320FPS ok? my sites limit for fully auto is 350FPS so my thinking is that this is a bit low It's fine. I'ts not that 30 fps will get you shot. Will my LiPo batteries kill my gun? Are they too powerful? I have heard horror stories of LiPos stripping gearboxes apart Yes. 11.1 lipo is a bit too much. 7.4 would have been enough. Should i upgrade the gearbox? If so what gear set would you recommend? No. Should i shim the gears? They are okay. Should i get a MOSFET? If so what brand or model With that lipo you probably should. The piston and spring assembly, should i change those? Also how do I make the seal better? No. How do you know it's not good now? I the G&G stock motor decent? or should i upgrade this too? It's fine. Should i change the barrel to a tighter one or leave it as it is? You souldn't. Should i change the hop up or even go for an R-hop? No and oh god, no. Should i changed the battery connectors from Tamiya to Deans? So far i don't see an issue with the Tamiya ones. Yes. Tamiya is made for much less currents. Deans (or XT60) have much bigger contacts. If the tamiya gets warm after some quick shots, you should definiately change it. Any other upgrades you can think of that will improve its performance? As you can read, my opinion is that you should use the gun and play a lot of airsoft. Currently the gun is not the weak point. Usually beginners think they get shot because others have better guns. An experienced player has the knowledge to get you, it doesn't matter what gun you have. Stock G&G is fine. If it's your only gun you probably shouldn't try to fix it (it's not broken) there is a very real chance it won't be better or even it will be worse. Sorry, it sounds a bit harsh, it's just my advice based on my experience.
  6. You'll need defense (like UKARA) for importing RIFs too. Meaning if you have your airsoft guns in the US, you can't ship them here until you have your defense. I had to get my ukara for that reason. :/ Also, you will have too look hard for a proper airsoft game here in the UK. It's mostly skirmishing here which is similar to paintball. Short fights in a small area, then long breaks, and no real teamwork.
  7. On a side note: I'm from Hungary. There is nothing like that over there. Their site says Bulgaria. Near enough.
  8. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_Tokyo_Marui_Tokyo_Marui_HI_CAPA_5_1.htm The Desert Eagle is way too big IMO. The MEU is not bad, but the thin magazine doesn't hold much gas. Hi-capa is one of, or maybe the best Marui handgun. You can attach anything and customize it any way you want.
  9. Yeah, as Lozart and macko-ricsi said. Check the contacts and if the trigger moves the moving part at all. You might have to remove the outer assembly of the gearbox, which is not exactly a simple thing on an M14 but if you keep an eye on the little springs (including the one in the safety switch) you should be fine.
  10. Except the Marui Beretta (M9). The slide does tend to break.
  11. I've been using glasses in the last 7 years for airsoft. I would only wear goggles for CQB only games, but most of the time I use glasses even then. Never had any problem with it. Zekler 75 is the best for me.
  12. If it has the blue hopup rubber, change that to something better. Clean the barrel, the hopup and the gearbox. Re-lube it with proper grease, re-shim it. If the spring that pushes the hopup to the GB is too stiff, cut it a bit shorter. Out if box it will shoot between 360-390 so you'll need a bit weaker spring too. If you want to learn something, try to shim it until it makes no gear noise when shooting.
  13. I dress in a lot of layers of clothes. Mostly my normal stuff, but I start with more layers in the morning and as it gets warmer, I take some off before I start to sweat. Under about 5C I wear thermal underwear.
  14. Imagine how much better it could have been.
  15. Don't. Silicone reacts with the rubber, making it soft in an uneven way. Use liquid soap to help putting it together.
  16. Maple leaf has a bigger contact point. That means that it can handle heavier BBs than normal hopup rubbers. Heavier BB means better accuracy. If you use the same BBs there is not much difference between any of the quality hopup rubbers. If the barrel is not bent or scratched and is clean, the hopup rubber is clean, the hopup is fixed so it can't wobble - so basically if the gun is in good shape, then the one thing that really affects accuracy is the BB. If you have a good working gun and the right BB, then buying precision barrels, cnc hopups, H nubs, any GB internal parts will only affect accuracy in such a tiny amount that it won't be noticeable in game.
  17. http://www.toysoldier.com.hk/product_details.php?pid=641 But I have no idea what I could use that pouch for.
  18. If you don't have experience soldering battery cells you probably shouldn't try it on a good battery. It is not that hard to do, but you shouldn't heat the cells too much, but it takes quite a lot of heat to get the solder on the cell properly. It needs a little practice and a good soldering iron. Buy a 7.4 lipo that fits, if you can.
  19. No problem with that. I don't run either. And if you're a sniper, you really shouldn't.
  20. Should be better. Clean the barrel and the hopup with rubbing alcohol with he cleaning stick. Also use god quality heavy BBs, like madbull 0.40g. A good sniper gun should hit a head size target at 50m. A good unmodified sniper gun should hit it on 40m at least, with every shot.
  21. There is actually quite a lot you can do to make an AEG quiet, but that's a high art of airsoft magic. It needs deep understanding of airsoft guns and lots of experimenting and disassembly.
