  1. If there are fire teams (a couple of guys who stick together during game) ask one of them if you can accompany them because you are new. That's a great way to make friends and learn airsoft at the same time.
  2. As straffham said: if you have cleaned it, adjusted the hopup and sights, and you're using fine BBs, and still not good compared to other guns, change the hopup rubber to a new one. That would fix it. Tightbore barrel only improves accuracy if the factory barrel is damaged.
  3. Welcome. I went here once and it was a very fine milsim event: http://milsimairsoft.co.uk/#
  4. No it doesn't. It has a modified v3. You didn't do any damage firing it locked back.
  5. I had all of these. The best I found is an adjustable 2 point sling. With one pull, you can make it longer or shorter. One end is on the base of the stock. The other end is either on the barrel end of the gun as a classic 2 point sling, or in the other end of the sling, making it a one point sling.
  6. Make sure you pull the trigger all the way every time.
  7. Yes, for that it's perfect. Anything more than 2-300 yards in the woods you will need a more powerful one. For example a milsim game. Well, except that it's only compatible with it's own earpiece.
  8. You shouldn't cut that much from a spring. It will be too short. It will shoot but after the cylinder impact it will bounce back, and that's not very good.
  9. The Motorola is only 0.5W, it's range will only be enough on skirmishes.
  10. Exactly like that. On the bright side, no one uses ctcss except if you have your own team, then you can agree on a channel/ctcss or 2 in case the other isn't free and you still have 6 channels unused.
  11. You will have to program the 16 available channels as needed.
  12. Only the ppl on the same ctcss will hear you and the ones on the main channel.
  13. Until recently I've played 7-8 hour non-stop games. Earlier I brought 2 sandwiches and about 2 bars of small chocolates in case energy runs out. Then I read, that you don't actually need that and I gave it a try. Turned out you really don't need food for an 8 hour long non-stop game actually. You have a normal breakfast, and after the game of course you are hungry but during the game you don't feel hunger and you don't need any food to have the energy. Just drink a lot if you are tired, that's it. In the last 1-2 years I didn't bring any food with me and it was actually a relief not to worry about lunch.
  14. The airsoft fields usually are in the middle of nowhere. If you transmit with 4W you will be transmitting about 3 miles (because of the terrain and the trees). Doesn't disturb anyone as long as you stick with the pmr frequencies. If you use 0.5W pmr, your range is 2-300m. That's fine for a skirimish, but nothing more.
  15. A friend of mine has this on his AK: http://www.dx.com/p/1x-34mm-red-green-dot-gun-sight-1-x-cr1620-113796#.VDE9NBaYi50 with an eye protector like this: http://www.dx.com/p/universal-scope-sight-rubber-cover-eye-protector-black-67064#.VDE9BRaYi50 It's a red dot, not a scope works great and looks really good.
  16. I don't know if svd mount and the AK mount are compatible. If yes, then maybe this: http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?search_From=category&item=OT-DS-SVD-RG&search=special&rs=Dot%20Sights&catid=&cat=&view_choice=a
  17. I haven't had any but I have read that the cobra replicas are pretty bad.
  18. I have bad experience with evike and EU shipping. They only tell you the postage cost after you have payed for the product and the cost is outrageous.
  19. Is 310 - 320FPS ok? my sites limit for fully auto is 350FPS so my thinking is that this is a bit low It's fine. I'ts not that 30 fps will get you shot. Will my LiPo batteries kill my gun? Are they too powerful? I have heard horror stories of LiPos stripping gearboxes apart Yes. 11.1 lipo is a bit too much. 7.4 would have been enough. Should i upgrade the gearbox? If so what gear set would you recommend? No. Should i shim the gears? They are okay. Should i get a MOSFET? If so what brand or model With that lipo you probably should. The piston and spring assembly, should i change those? Also how do I make the seal better? No. How do you know it's not good now? I the G&G stock motor decent? or should i upgrade this too? It's fine. Should i change the barrel to a tighter one or leave it as it is? You souldn't. Should i change the hop up or even go for an R-hop? No and oh god, no. Should i changed the battery connectors from Tamiya to Deans? So far i don't see an issue with the Tamiya ones. Yes. Tamiya is made for much less currents. Deans (or XT60) have much bigger contacts. If the tamiya gets warm after some quick shots, you should definiately change it. Any other upgrades you can think of that will improve its performance? As you can read, my opinion is that you should use the gun and play a lot of airsoft. Currently the gun is not the weak point. Usually beginners think they get shot because others have better guns. An experienced player has the knowledge to get you, it doesn't matter what gun you have. Stock G&G is fine. If it's your only gun you probably shouldn't try to fix it (it's not broken) there is a very real chance it won't be better or even it will be worse. Sorry, it sounds a bit harsh, it's just my advice based on my experience.
  20. You'll need defense (like UKARA) for importing RIFs too. Meaning if you have your airsoft guns in the US, you can't ship them here until you have your defense. I had to get my ukara for that reason. :/ Also, you will have too look hard for a proper airsoft game here in the UK. It's mostly skirmishing here which is similar to paintball. Short fights in a small area, then long breaks, and no real teamwork.
  21. On a side note: I'm from Hungary. There is nothing like that over there. Their site says Bulgaria. Near enough.
