  1. It's a G3. Probably JG. Lipo FTW. Imax b3 or Imax b6ac are good chargers.
  2. That's no excuse. If you can't feel it, you still can hear it.
  3. Most of my opinions are against the normal so I'll go with the "not proud of" part. On one of my first games I detached from my fire team to sneak to an objective. Close to the objective I got hit by a single BB, I looked around, saw no one and convinced myself that it was not a hit. That was about 7 years ago and I still feel bad about it.
  4. Externally it's finished for now. Once I figure out where I will use it, I will probably add more camo.
  5. Welcome. I'm in Aylesbury. Blue streak airsoft is close by and not bad. There is Special ops airsoft in MK but I have not been there yet.
  6. I would have suggested a cyma M14. M14 are the most accurate aegs due to their excellent hopup design. AK is also a good choice. As said, go for heavy and precise BBs. I use 0.28 even in my pistol - well, because that's what I have in the speedloader for the G3. Cyma barrels are not bad, but a good quality precision barrel does help a bit.
  7. Krytac is too new. There is no actual experience with them but their marketing is very aggressive. Meaning the people who praise them are well paid for saying that / don't have the gun for too long. It might be awesome, I don't know. In that price range I would buy TM.
  8. What Colonel said. I wouldn't put 11.1 and high speed motor. One of those is plenty enough.
  9. That should make a badass G36c. If you do go CQB probably you will need fast reloads. Either use an other G36 mag clipped to the one in the gun or go for the M4 magwell or those g36 pmags.
  10. Yeah, my English is not the best. I know some things, I just can't explain them in an easily understandable way.
  11. Only parcelforce takes airsoft guns. You must declare "low powered airgun". I just read that even if you try to pay more for insurance, they will not insure it above that £100 (but they take your money of course ) You can only send it with express48 You can't send things that take gas. Gas magazines for example, even if they are empty. Of course if they don't know about it, they will take it, but if they do find it, they simply destroy it without warning. Edit: hermes's website declares they won't take guns and they destroy it if found, but someone said he called them and they said it's fine.
  12. It will but there are consequences. - It will be less powerful than the other way around. The BB will leave the barrel before the piston impact so not all the available energy is transferred to the BB - The BB won't act as a barrier for the air on the last cm of the piston travel meaning the piston will impact full force into the cylinder head. This is not a problem for good quality gearboxes / low power spring / normal ROF, but lesser quality boxes will crack because of this. For example older JG V2s crack easily because of this even on lower fps. - The BB leaves the barrel before the piston impact so the sound of the impact is free to leave the barrel - resulting in a loud snap with every shot. The other way around - where you match the short barrel with the cylinder, the BB will still move a lot in the barrel after the piston stopped. The high pressure drops behind the BB and it will move and bounce around the barrel. This will result in lower accuracy when using the long barrel compared to a matched cylinder. However the GB would be safe. Maybe you can match both barrels using light BBs for the long barrel and heavy BBs for the short but that needs calculations and experiments. I would simply use the short barrel and match the cylinder for that. There is nothing to gain with the long barrel. Longer barrel will not increase your accuracy (except if you compare it to a really short barrel).
  13. Still off: Very true. I'm the first to complain about the high prices in the UK but I came from a country where all the bigger companies are owned by foreigners. Nearly all the profit is made by them and not spent in the country, resulting a similar case as you described. The wages are very-very low because of that. People are people and their work is the same quantity and quality as in the UK but the wages are 1/10th than here. Simply because they aren't the ones making the profit. I think this is globalisation. You can buy anything anywhere. It's very easy to buy in china cheap, but that will raise their income and lower ours in the UK. Globalisation will level every country eventually. The poor ones get richer but the rich ones will get poorer. So yes, you can protect your country by spending the money here. I can't, I'm dead broke now.
  14. Tiger111 is flawless, and today's KHmountain too. A few years back khmountain had some problems but now they are one of the best. www.greenbase.hk - they have nice and cheap gear and I didn't have any problems with them. cop9gun.com - their new webshop is great and they have chinese gun parts that are very hard to find elsewhere - also very cheap. I almost forgot www.airsoft-club.com - they had great gear and clothing, but I haven't ordered from them lately so I don't know their current stock. Cheap and no problems.
  15. Twists? Do you mean the quick change barrel? You can remove the barrel assembly and change it to a shorter/longer one. Not very useful on an AEG as the cylinder won't match.
  16. I went to my first game on my own. I played with a rental Mp5 and after the game I even learned that there is a hopup to be set. I talked to a few people, held some guns, fell in love with the G36. It's very easy to start a conversation with "Wow, nice gun."
  17. But said fat hairy dudes breaking gearboxes, suffering minor injuries and swearing excessively in a youtube video would be hilarious.
  18. The first link is saying it's 9V powered. That means the battery is a 9V battery, the fan itself is a standard 12V one IMO. A 12V fan running on 9V spins slower thus less airflow but less noise too. Does it actually run on 2xAAA? That's only 3V and I would think it doesn't move on that low voltage. If it does it must be very quiet, but that would explain why one fan is not enough for you. Get one or two 12V fans and run it on a 9V battery. That's low noise level with still a decent airflow and the battery is smaller than the AAA packs. As TheGrover said, link the fans in parallel. That way they still need 12V but will drain higher current, meaning the battery will go flat faster. It's generally not a very good idea to link batteries in parallel to get bigger capacity. If they are not the same brand and on the same voltage level, the higher one will try to charge the lower one and batteries don't like that. If you use rechargeable batteries, then that's not a problem. But I think using a 9V battery in your current setup will solve your problem.
  19. Take at least the slide off, use high pressure water then plenty of silicone spray to remove the water then high pressure air to clean the silicone out, and then regrease it. Ideally. When I dropped my 1911 in sand I just used a lot of silicone then air duster then regreasing.

    Defo not with the guns.

  22. Don't buy airsoft red dots for guns with recoil. Even if it's expensive, it's not built for recoil, it will probably fail after some time. Get a red dot that is for real steel guns. There was a topic about it not long ago and there were links for excellent red dots in airsoft red dot price range. Not only they handle recoil well, the red dot itself is way better than the airsoft ones.
